Always tomorrow, never today
Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture, no matter how we all want it today.

The recruitment of a European scout is an appointment which will hopefully pay dividends for years to come, not one transfer window.
-
Derby also supposedly in for him and his best mate Bielik is already there as well as Rooney of course who may be a pull for him
Derby under ffp investigation though so not sure how they stand
Woops, too late!

Think Rovers will hold off on a left back till Summer, when Greg Cunning ham's contact is up (I think).
Makes sense to me, should be fit by then and not a gamble as we know what he can do.

I wouldn't even bother with a keeper at this point. We will struggle to get better than Walton with our budget I'm afraid (I don't think he's anywhere near as bad as some make out anyway)
A proper left back and perhaps a winger would suit me.
I agree, don't really understand all the negativity about Walton. Been pretty solid overall, especially the last few weeks. A couple of errors but no absolute howlers as we see week in, week out from other keepers

Something a few years ago we were pretty solid on .
Don't think it's coincidence that goalkeeping standards have dropped across all the leagues ever since managers became obsessed with them being better with their feet than their hands!

A real hero Field, was devastated when he left could turn a game all by himself. What was it a massive 75k he went for?
It was ?

Never scored a tap-in in his life did Tony. There are great goal scorers and scorers of great goals.
Tony Field was the latter.
Cheers Tony

He got a two even better ones for us v Watford and Charlton around 1972/3.
I know, just wish I could find some for us online but no luck.

Pretty sure we were on the way up until he left that December lol
Yeah, and took Tony Field with him to Sheffield United. My first hero, never forgiven him for that!
Watch goal no 7 and tell me that's not George Best

What an amazing scouting system Brentford have.
If only....

Think people are being a bit harsh on a guy who has been a great servant to this club
That said, my view is that if Mulgrew was to play for us again it would be defensive midfield alongside Travis rather than Central defence. With Evans out for the forseeable it only leaves Johnson as partner to Travis as Davenport is unlikely to be risked.
Whatever it seems now that defensive replacements will have to wait till Summer and this window concentrate on attackers

Anyone know if Rochdale's Rathbone is injured or suspended? Not in the squad tonight!
Didn't play v Bolton due to injury on Saturday
Presume same tonight.

I saw him being linked with the Dingles.
Never liked him! ?

No link to us as far as I know, but notice Chelsea have recalled Connor Gallagher from Charlton, presumably to loan out again.
Would love him, top player

Age 23 and club captain of league 1 Doncaster, I'd say he's doing very well. I'd have him over any of our shyte midfield. I didn't bring him up either, Tony invited him in for a chat. ..
Even Steve Bruce agrees so watch this space
Some of the guys on Soccer Saturday where asked to name ones to watch in League 1 the other day
Matt Murray said Ben Whiteman...

Quick research:
Aymen Barkok - Fortuna Dusseldorf (Div 1) - 21 Years Old - Attacking Midfielder - Played 3 Games In The Bundesliga 1st Division This Season.
Niklas Schmidt - Werder Bremen but on loan currently at Vfl Onsabruck (Div 2) - 21 Years Old - Attacking Midfielder - 11 Games, 3 Goals & 1 Assists for Onsabruck this Season. Maybe cutting that loan short and heading to us for the final 6 months of the season. Worth a fair few bob but clearly not required at top league Bremen.
Gorkem Saglam - Vfl Bochum (Div 2) - 21 Years Old - Attacking Midfielder - Contract expiring in June 2020, so loan here less likely, unless its loan to get permanently on a free. Hasn't played a single game this season. Seems to have come from their academy. Did play 10 games last season, with no goal contributions or assists... hope it isn't this guy.
Florent Muslija - Hannover 96 - 21 Years Old - Attacking Midfielder - Played in 15 games for them this season, so seems the least likely for a loan deal. Hannover a good side in the second division though, and is young so never know.
Gut feeling says if its any of these lot then its Schmidt from Bremen.
Take my hat off to you sir!

Alan Judge has surely got to be bollocks?
I mean replacing Dacks goals with a player who's bagged 1 goal in like 40 appearances for Ipswich? Perfect solution.

Anybody know any Blackpool fans who can give an opinion on Heneghan?
It's a difficult one for TM. Obviously no money in the kitty and we only really have 2 saleable assets and one of those is out of action.
If any money raised from this potential deal is allocated for transfers I wouldn't totally be against it.
