Lads it's just one mistake, he's saved us against Cardiff, let's cut him some slack here. Pears made many many errors

He never made anywhere near this sort of error. Two times the ball ballooned up in the air and any competent keeper comes to get it. Then compounds it by letting it roll right through him. Genuinely the worst goalkeeping I’ve ever seen for Rovers.

Rovers food is awful on the concourse and Rovers need to do much better and offered a better range of food which including meat based food simple as.

Are you suggest we should used plant based food?

The point is that the quality of said meat (at £4 for a pulled pork burger) wouldn't be much higher than what you'd give your dog. There are economics to consider as part of F&B pricing, it's not just plucking a figure out the hat that you think is fair.

  3. It’s a total joke, instigated by the 6/7 richest clubs at the expense of the several hundred all the way down the pyramid that rely on FA cup money.

International appearances aside, it’s a complete fallacy that top end Premier League sides play more. If you’re a decent L1 team you’re playing 46 league games, potentially play offs, long EFL trophy run plus whatever you get in league cup and FA cup - sure that averages out as more than most Premier League sides, with far smaller squads and much poorer facilities. This moaning about elite sportsmen, in their 20/30s playing too much will never ever make sense to me. They should be fucking grateful of the chance to do it for a living.

It's a calculated risk from them. If it doesn't go well but he does eventually score a few goals, which he's surely capable of, there or on loan, he'll retain some value and some desperate newly promoted Prem club might buy him.

I think he might still come good if he sticks in there. Look at Joselu! Something of a failure/disappointment at Stoke and Newcastle and now Real Madrid's starting centre forward. Not sure where BBD is playing but a shift to the six yard box might be what he needs.

I mean he was always fairly average (golden 6 months aside) but he looked especially crap when played through the middle. More effective when operating as a wide forward.

Short-term yes, but possibly will hurt it in the long-term.

I'm not so sure. He's signed a 4 year, £40k a week deal - £8m ish over the length of the contract, plus presumably a fairly chunky signing fee, whilst making him more marketable to Spanish speaking fans.

It might have been a poor move from a football perspective in the long term (as he's clearly not good enough for that level) but financially it was absolutely the correct thing to do for him and his family.
