Maybe he’ll turn into a decent squad player but fundamentally…we (a team who finished 7th last year) are signing a player who can’t get a game in a team that wasn’t even in the fucking division last year. Just tragic.

I did think the next couple of seasons would be managed decline rather than active sabotage. Alas, given the dickheads in charge far too much credit.

I’m so over seeing Rovers “fans” comment on “negativity” and saying “who would buy us” or “they can’t put more in because of FFP”. The instagram post is full of it. Either we have an incredibly thick fan base or social media is full of club plants.

I’m entirely confident Dolan’s time in Spain will go exactly like Brereton’s. That said, presumably on decent money, fair play to him.

There’s a lot of talk and pages about such an average footballer - which just illustrates how far away we’ve fallen. Dolan (as he and his agent are finding out) is a bang average Championship footballer. Should we have tied him down? Given he’ll be replaced with worse then yes he should, but I’m not going to get upset about this level of player leaving Rovers - we have much bigger issues.

Sorry I didn’t realise I’m only allowed to view certain topics… The collective head loss from you all on here about Wharton is tragic. If you saw other clubs doing this you’d think it’s incredibly tin pot (and you’d be correct)

No ofc he won’t be replaced by someone better. There are plenty of other things to worry about beyond the mismanagement of his contract. He’s a decent mid table championship player - he’s not a difference maker for getting you out the league - we’ll see where he ends up At the end of the day I’m not going to get particularly upset about Dolan leaving - a player who probably doesn’t crack the top 300 who I’ve seen at Ewood…

He sat in the board room with Jack. He was chairman when we won the league! Now he’s sat there taking the dodgy rupees for 15 years without a single word… Doesn’t bother me in the slightest to call it what it is - collaboration

He’s not good enough for a top 6 chasing team. As our plan is seemingly to get relegated, then yes he probably will be a loss. If we ever become a more ambitious club once again, we need much better.
