That’s now how M&A works (as a rule). Companies have an underling “enterprise value” (sod all for a club with Rovers reliable annual losses - different story if they bothered to get us to the PL), with that then adjusted for working capital requirements and net debt to get to the value of the equity being acquired. No one is going to pay them even a fraction of what they’ve spaffed away (or even what they originally paid) unless we’re in the PL which is why I’ve always thought the annual January self sabotage is a huge indicator they’ll never sell - otherwise the smart play is invest a few million to massively increase the clubs value.

Another way of looking at is there’s a lot of shite in this league from 5th down. We have a lot of extra bodies now (I won’t opine on quality) with a couple to come back from injury. I’m not saying we will make the playoffs but last night showed there’s nothing to fear from the teams around us. Whether or not we’d just get pumped over 2 legs by whoever finishes third is another debate…

What a win! Loads of standouts but that was a proper number 9 performance. Great finishing, great hold up play, helped keep them out at the other end. So happy to see that after years of watching Mowbray teams dominate the ball and offer fuck all around the box.
