  1. Has anyone been to Rossi in Manchester (upper King Street/Spring Gardens). I am there for lunch the week after next......followed by dinner at Northcote Manor and an overnight!

I went to Northcote for my Birthday this week and an overnight. As always an absolutely smashing meal and a lovely room. I really do love the place.

Rossi = Rio Ferdinands place. Not been myself, but a few from work have and speak highly of it.

  2. Anybody been to the Jamies Italian restaurants - work are trying to organise a meal at the Manchester one now its opened, but I'm trying to resist putting money into his pockets. Any ideas for similar ? Grill on the Alley was also mentioned.

We normally end up at the meat eaters paradise Bem Brazil or one of the many curry houses.

  3. Good lord, you go back a long way. It was the original "get rat-asred" and them go for hottest curry you could (not) eat.

I remember going there about 30 years ago after several pints and tucking into a curry that involved (on reflection) nothing but halepeno chillis

    Sounds ace ;)

Anyone finding themselves in Skipton and needing lunch or afternoon tea I can thoroughly recommend The Wild Oat cafe. Top of the main street just near the roundabout opposite the church with the large clocktower (on left preseumes you have the church in front of you). It's 100% vegetarian, organic, non-alcoholic - all of which we only realised after we'd sat down and started drinking the delicious tea. Highly recommended really, really good food. Waitress was a bit dopey but there you go!

    Is it Halal ?

  4. I know its not happened on here yet, but can we keep the fans name off the site until its been officially announced.

I understand not all the family has been informed yet.

Also can we keep the petty point scoring and/or discussions of fans behaviour off this thread. Now is not the time.

  5. I'm copying Lees post from the official site, as I can't put this any better myself. All I will say at this time is that the thoughts of everybody is with the affected fan and his family and we all hope he pulls through.

    "

Whilst it is certainly disturbing what has happened today at the ground. Can I ask supporters that instead of posting what they saw on here that if they have any important information that may help that they call the Staffordshire Police on 01785 236211.

It is very easy for discussions to get taken out of context or be taken as fact (like the early reports on here that the chap was dead), so it might be better if any supporter who was unfortunate to witness this terrible event contacts the appropriate authorities."

  6. This is an awesome game. It's that simple. You can disappear into it for hours. Aside from the slightly annoying (though visually stunning) Scarecrow levels, I honestly can't find anything wrong with this.

Not a partularly big game, but they've packed a hell of a lot into it.

Need to find something new now.. Not sure Beatles Rock Bands quite my style.
