Bloody everton away

About time. Acceptable performance today but the opposition were limited to
say the least. Hughes shouldn't get too relaxed but knowing his arrogance he
will. Look at the thread on the official messageboard. Some people are
getting tired of his positive spin as well.
ROVERZEALOUS-"I understand that he has to say certain things to maintain the
confidence of the players, but on certain occasions he comes across as being
somewhat deluded. For example, after the Feyenoord match, he was claiming
that we were the better team and should maybe have won the match?!!?!?! Did
he fail to see the frailty of the defence and the numerous clear cut
opportunities they produced? I think it was also against West Ham where he
tried to make out we had played well. We had been pretty poor imo. Although
in the second half we did apply some pressure we failed to create anything
clear cut...just a thought!"
"Saying that we were the better team against Feyenoord was just wrong. He
can praise the side for positives, but he doesnt have to talk rubbish. it
makes him look stupid."
Hughes has signed 4 strikers in pre season. Nonda/McCarthy scored today buy
why is he looking at yet another striker? If you sign 4 strikers in pre
season you should stick with them. As far as I'm concernced it's a sackable
offence. Hughes is lucky he's got a nice comfort zone under Williams
chairmanship. If Jack was still here he would be barely holding onto his
job.
As for Lucas Neill the contempt I have for that player is higher than any
other in history. Tom Sherwood got booed and he did far more for this club
than Neill ever has. Yet he got booed didn't he? You don't like it when I
say you have gone soft. When you pay for your season ticket you shouldn't
have to watch scumbags like Lucas Neill. Yet the club rewards him. Hughes
though is too arrogant in his own abilities and still thinks he might sign a
contract. What if he gets injured? If that happened where will he train
during pre season? Would the club let him use Brockhall to recuperate? Would
the fans put up with it? This is Jack Walker's club and he's shown no
respect whatsoever. Yet you don't care. He shows disrepect to Mr Walker and
you just put up with it.
As for the thread about Williams and his son I have no problem with that
believe it or not. When I see Simon Williams quoting lies about future
finances maybe I'll have something to say about him. I would hope though
that he isn't being lined up as a successor. Williams is close to his 60's
now. Hopefully he mi8ght think about retirement soon and a bring a end to
the hell this club is going through.
MORE RESPONSES
Dave Birch-The guy is clearly paranoid.
Vinjay-Well what do you expect? It's one nightmare aafter another. I was
called paranoid when I said Bellamy would be sold? Was I wrong? No and you
can't deny that. I said he wouldn't be sold until after the "early bird"
scheme was slightly successful...numbers did increase. I was right about
that as well. I saw your name on the web archive for the supporters site.
What was it like to be on the boards when fans refused to accept medicority.
It's almost like follow the leader. Jack Walker spoke of ambition, the fans
demand ambition. Williams reduces ambition and the fans accept it. Jack
would be saddened if he saw what this club has become.
Flopsy-Could anyone explain why he doesnt like a small town in Europe? And
why he seems so upset that we did so well last year? Is it because all his
moaning has no point? I mean your constant whining, although incredibly
annoying, is at the end of things, just a reflection on yourself. Totaly
irrelevant.
Vinjay-Why do I not like it? The first two words themeslves are a put down.
You're actually putting yourselves down by the use of the words "we're
just." You openly put yourself down and put the club and town in the same
context. I've heard people say that the title win showed that the town had
ambition. Wrong. It showed that the town had ambition.
I prefer to chant "a big club in Europe." Yet I'm the one who abused. Did
you sing that in 1994? 1995? 1998? No. Williams has ruined this club. He's
downsized everything. Jack saw Man Utd as arch rivals...Williams wants
Rovers to see Bolton as rivals. He's ruining everything and manipulating
your minds. That's why he reduced prices against Bolton...Jack would have
done it against Man Utd. Jack wouldn't have liked it. You obviously don't
care though what Jack would have wanted. He wanted this club to be a force
in Europe. Yes the club it had nothing to do with the town.
Of course though it's the drummers that are the problem. Not the fact that
some fans don't care what Preston, Burnley, Blackpool are doing. I act like
a premier league fan and consider premier league teams rivals. Look at that
awful song that they keep playing. Williams is trying to install a 1980's
mentatity again. He's manipulating your minds. You can't see what he's
doing.
Who are you to judge if my views are irrelevant. If my views were so
irrelevant then the thread wouldn't have 9 pages as I write this.
As for that being a put down. I'm already low enough thanks to Williams and
his lies.
Bob Fleming-Local nut case Vinjay finally tracks down where Glenn lives and forces him to allow him to post at gun point. Funnily enough it’s exactly
the same post he made umpteen times eleven months ago.
Vinjay-If I was a nutcase I would have walked past the non existant security at Ewood and held Williams at gunpoint by now. It hasn't even crossed my mind and if I was a nutcase I'm sure it would have. Maybe I'm just tired of seeing what Williams has done to my football club. Newcastle and Aston Villa fans wouldn't accept what Williams has done.
foreverrovers-anyway why do u lot call vinjay yajniv?
Vinjay-On the official board it seems that Lee Grooby has iniated a
fdunction that puts people's names back to front. I don't really see the
point of it to be honest and it dosen't really offend me at all. Lee Grooby
is insignificant and probably too busy kissing up to Williams to come up
with something remotely offensive. Wiolliams censored Revidge Blue who has just sat back and taken it. Lee Grooby censored me because his boss told him to. He's a typical kiss up in the workplace. There's always people like Lee Grooby who get further than they should because of kissing up to the boss. I don't care about his messageboard. He isn't going to silence me. Williams isn't going to silence me for as long as he lives. If you wake up he won't be able to silence you eiether when fans rage descends upon Ewood. More likely though fans won't protest and be content with 10 members showing at meeting because it's too cold. Too soft is what they are. It isn't
antartica.
A win has slightly lifted the gloom but can you see an end to Williams
reign. I want nothing more in my life than to see Williams sacked. I don't
hesitate to say it would be one of the greatest moments of my life. How I
would love to see that smug SOB get what's coming to him. For now though the
club continues to slide into a seemingly bottomless abyss. There's no end in
sight.
May God have mercy on our BRFC souls.
On a more positive note check this link. It's a reminder of when this club
had some ambition. One glimmer of light amidst all the gloom are memories of
what this great football club used to be.
Another one...
-
Greg Coar is no relation to Rob Coar.
Simon Williams is John Williams son.
What actually matters is if they can do the job.
-
So how many games without a win now? Found out for yourself as you obviously
don't seem to have noticed the recent collapse in league form. I said it
would happen. Star player sold-leads to struggle in league form. Does it
look like I'm wrong. 4 strikers have been signed. McCarthy's been too
inconsistent. Nonda hasn't made any impression...he's strong though so was
that oaf Kuqi. Peter Taylor should have learnt from his Akinbiyi error.
Roberts is injured following a series of inefficent displays and Jeffers
hasn't found top form.
The Doctor of spin Hughes won't admit it. Look at the signs though he's
clearly beginning to panic. Yiannakis Okkas? Why does he want to sign an
unknown forward. He found Nelsen of course but he isn't going to find much
success taking the unknown route. It's clear that he's lost faith in his
other strikers. Surely when a manager signs 4 strikers in pre season he
should stick with them for the entire campaign. I'm not surprised Okkas
would be sold for a low fee. Can't expect the Walkers to release any funds
in January after all. Williams I'm sure will give himself another nie pay
rise though.
Do you expect me to pleased about the downturn in form? Most premier league
fans wouldn't be happy so why should I? Somebody on the boards said that
Rovers fans would protest if things were going badly. So why when did Graeme
Souness get booed on his return? Why weren't they booing and calling for him
to be sacked? I doubt Williams would have sacked him anyway. Too scared of
Souness I expect. Rovers fans didn't protest because they ahve gone soft.
Roy had an excellent first season. It only took a couple of months for fans
to turn on him. Sherwood was booed for wanting to leave. Neill gets cheered.
Why? Rovers fans have gone soft. I don't care if you don't like me saying
that. I don't like Rovers fans singing "small town in Europe" but I still go
to Ewood and put up with it. Yet you never get censored. You expect me to
feel a close affiliation with Rovers fans when you chant stuff like that.
I'm not allowed to criticise yet you're allowed to chant things like that? I
should be thanked for putting up with it.
BRISA keep talking about improving attendances. Yet you are pleased that a
total of TEN members showed up at your recent meeting. Apparently the low
total was due to the cold weather. It's not Antartica. You are supposed to
be premier league fans and yet you're pleased that 10 members showd up. A
conference club would be dissapointed with a total like that. You expect
anyone to take BRISA seriously? What this club needs is an activist. It
could be me but I don't have enough backing. "He must be Vinjay." That's
what you say whenever someone agrees with me. It's no wonder people won't
take my side. I might be slightly mad...mad because Williams and the Walkers
are ruining this once great football club. Did I mention that TEN people
showed upn at the recent BRISA meeting. To show how highly BRISA appreciate
their members they couldn't even remember the names of some of them. Look at
the minutes on their site. Don't bother looking at the messageboard it's
been nearly a month since anyone posted there.
BRISA have gone into this with a completely half hearted appproach. Don't
give excuses about being "underestimating" the task of running the
organisation. Not good enough. Just like the current league position yet you
consider this aceptable. Hughes is lucky that Jack isn't here. He would be
fortunate not to have been sacked by now. Of course Jack and me share
something in common which most Rovers fans don't. Neither of us tolerate
failure.
So why don't I attend your meetings and try and make a difference? You have
offered and I've declined...partly because I wouldn't put it past you to
commit assault. The main reason is that I don't want any association with
damaged goods. Give your members back the money they wasted and start
afresh. Take the meetings into a professional enviroment. I understand why
fans frequent bars but are these mettings supposed to be about the club or
an excuse for a drinking session? You don't want to use club facilities.
Well I don't see where else yoiu could find a professional working
enviroment. That's right working enviroment. I can't see any diference BRISA
have made regarding matchday experience. You expect fans to buy a
membership? How do you know I'm not already a member? I'm not because I
could see gaping holes in your organisation from the start. I might have
made a few comments but they weren't well recieved. Dosen't mater who I
mention I still get censored.
How much is Williams paying you again? What other Premier league fans would
tolerate what I've had to put up with? No doubt you will say something like
go and suport another club then. No you need to be held accountable for your
mistakes. In your next newsletter (providing everyone gets it this time) you
should apologise to your members. It's the least they deserve. Then you
should wake up and see the damage that Williams is doing.
Somebody has to stop him. At most clubs I would be hailed as a martyr. I
will not give up my views for the sake of winning popularity contests. I
will not tolerate failure. I will not tolerate sleeping owners who couldn't
care less about this club. I will not tolerate the sorry situation this club
has fallen into. If you don't like that you and "Saint" John Williams can go
to hell.
Lokking at the current position I feel like I'm already there.
well what can I say to that ?
-
The impressive “Space Age” Feijenoord Stadion, Rotherham
I think we would have been better off at bloody Millmoor given the away end we were given.
-
Did anyone else see that guy walking round with a plant on his head near the canal in the RLD??
Was it someone from on here????
We saw him, and just ended up calling him Jason Lee and singing "He's got a pineapple on his head"
The guys with the fisher price cameras wouldn't take "No, not with that s*** camera" for an answer.
-
anyway why do u lot call vinjay yajniv?i know it his name back to front but why?,same goes for calling bolton notlob???
answers on a postcard please!
I dont think you should be prepared to pursue this line of inquiry any longer as I think this is getting too silly!
Notlob is from Monty Pythons dead parrot sketch, which is about as silly as Vinjays rantings.
-
Mark "spin doctor" Hughes stated recently that the club couldn't "afford"
Mido. Apparently he had too many personal demands. I wonder if those
personal demands included a wish to meet BRFC's owners so they could outline
their ambitions. I expect he was surprised to know taht they never actually
attend matches or even comment prior to the start of the season. You know
before season tickets go on sale? Talking of season tickets going on sake
it's strange that Bellamy was sold after most fans had already renewed.
Williams is nothing but a lieing scumbag. Hughes couldn't give a damn about
Jack Walker. If Jack saw that pathetic display against Man Utd last week he
would be turning in his grave. Hughes is nothing less than Man Utd scum and
I never wanted him in the first place. Tottenham fans wouldn't accept George
Graham. Why should I acept Mark Hughes. Hughes calls hiomself "sparky."
Strange then that he wants to bring in video replays to take any sparks of
controversy out of the game. I've already seen my club lose everything. Why
not ruin the entire game as well?
More responses...
Shaddy-Vinjay likes Mourinho. Somehow this questions his support of
Blackburn Rovers.
Vinjay-I happen to like Mourinho. Don't have to justify why and the fact
that most peope took my side says it all about your pathetic attempt at an
"expose."
Scotty-I can assure you that none of us are trying to make ourselves look
important. As for the "do-gooders" comment, if that's how you want to refer
to us then that's up to you. Personally that doesn't worry me at all - I'd
rather be a "do-gooder" than a "do-badder". We are simply trying to do the
right thing for Rovers supporters.
I'm sure you and Vinjay are one and the same person. Anyway, I've attempted
to answer your points as best as I can. No negativity, no abuse.
Vinjay-You don't really make yourself look like anything as BRISA haven't
exactly had a high profile in the last few months. I was expecting to hear a
statement of ambition from the Walkers before you had your next meeting.
I'm not trying to do the right thing? All I want is this club to show
sufficent ambition and for the Walkers to put the club up for sale. I also
want Williams to resign for lieing to the fans. What's wrong with that?
You keep saying I wasn't banned for my opinions. Well someone comes on the
boards and shares an opinion similar to mine and the individual is
immediately accused of being me. See you just can't stand someone having a
different opinion to you. You preach freedom of speech. You have a public
messageboard and yet you drive people away or force them out. Nobody wants
to take my side because they know that you will just make these types of
accusations. That's why more people haven't registered to side with me.
Blakey-Sometimes i wonder if its just a publicity stunt so that members of
BRISA can prove that they are "true Blackburn fans"
Vinjay-It can't be a publicity stunt. Haven't heard anything from them
(until recently) for about 5 months.
Exiled In Toronto-Can't anyone post anything on this board that goes against
the received wisdom without being accused of being Vinjay, a clarrot or
both? This is getting worse than 1930's Russia.
Vinjay-Can't you see what it is Exiled? It's just a clever tactic
orchestrated by SteB, Glenn and Alan "stuck in" 75. How can you put people
off giving different opinions? Just accuse them of not being Rovers fans.
It's no wonder more people haven't taken my side. I can't believe I haven't
seen through this tactic until now. I usually see through such things
straight away like the "early bird" scheme. I said Williams was going to
sell Bellamy after most season tickets had been renewed. He probably had an
agreement with Liverpool about 3 months beforehand.
BRISA's next objective should be to call for the fans to engage in a mutiny
against Williams. A mutiny against the Walkers. West Ham now have extra
financial strength and an owner who gives a damn. That's what Blackburn
Rovers need.
-
Here lies the problem. Greg Coar???...Is this just a coincidence or is this man related to Robert Coar....
Not related. He did stress that right from the outset.
-
does anyone know what time the fa will reject rovers appeal and overturn spurs appeal?
Once Gary Mabbutt has looked at the two videos.
(panel is actually Paul Elliot, Gordon Milne, Robbie Earle, Graham Taylor, Gary Mabbutt, Alan Jones, David Rose and Warren Barton)
-
Has the BRISA membership been asked about their views on resurrecting the Fans Forum? No..I didn't think so.
Could the membership possibly be included a bit more in decision making?
Part of the BRISA remit is to provide a way of providing dialog between the fans and the club. The FF did that, but suffered from a lack of being open with what was discussed. BRISA has to be careful not to fall into that trap, as imho its suffering from keeping too much behind closed doors. Other than that Scotty has pretty much answered the rest of the points.
Not sure why everybody is jumping on the "you must be Vinjay because...." bandwagon. This is an internet messageboard where people are supposed to be able to discuss their opinions, even if they are wrong. Its kind of like saying you can only discuss things on here if you like cake.
FYI.. its definitely not Vinjay. I've not noticed any negativity towards the club at all in the posts.
-
from his details appears he/she is not vinjay.
-
More responses.
Aggy Blue-Why not sit with the away fans?Vinjay-Can still hear the home fans unfortunately. Maybe I'll just start
wearing earplugs.
gumboots-The guy claims he doesn't like Rovers fans anyway so let's forget
about him, if in fact he exists, and get on with discussing or club instead
of his rants.
Vinjay-It might be more constructive to look at the reasons why. Look at
falling atendances and then take a good look at yourselves as well as
Williams/the Walkers. I feel no affiliation with Rovers fans and feel like
I'm being driven out of the club. Is that supposed to be my fault? I've
already been forced off the messageboard for wanting the club to show
ambition. It's alright to put the club down in the Beckham thread though
isn't it?
92er-In a way, Vinjay appears to suffering an alienation that ,although more
extreme, might have been suffered by many Rovers' fans at any time, either
currently or in the past.
Vinjay-Quite right and I'm treated like the one who's to blame. I'm supposed
to chant "small town in Europe" and sing about clubs I don't care about.
You're only talking about atmosphere. Why don't you take a look at your
songs. I talk up the club's chances of signing Beckham...you put the club
down. I want the club to qualify for champions league and win
trophies...you're quite content to finish midtable. I hate Neill...you cheer
him and accept him as captain. I'm supposed to pay to watch scumbags like
Neill? I'm supposed to accept the disrepect he's showing to me and everyone
of you.
You wonder why I don't feel any close affiliation with Rovers fans. That's
only a few of the reasons.
wakefield rawks-Which shrink do you use? Are they good? What made you a
broken man? It helps to talk.
Vinjay-I'm past the stage where I threaten to turn up at BRISA meetings and
jump in the canal if they don't listen. Firstly I came to realise that's
what they would want...kind of people they are and 2 I'm feeling a lot
better psychlogically now. Still dosen't make me any happier with the club's
current situation.
Revidge Blue-It's pretty trendy to knock Vinjay on here and he might even be
a closet dingle but regardless of his motives and despite his unique style
he does have some good points trying to get out.
Vinjay-My only motive is trying to get you to listen. You had some good
points in your columns as well...until Williams forced the LET to remove
them. You don't realise that it's people like you who can be used to force
Williams out of this club. Yet you just accept what he's done.
bluebruce-You seem to enjoy distancing yourself from BRFC in this way,
whilst claiming to be thoroughly concerned about OUR plight. We use the
terms 'we' and 'our' because we feel part of the club. Not because of some
sheep mentality which simply doesn't exist.
Vinjay-I feel distant from the fans and the people running the club not the
club itself. I've already attempted to explain why. You think I enjoy
feeling distant from the fans? Quite wrong. I've mentioned Aston Villa and
Newcastle fans in the past. Fans who protest when things are going wrong
unlike Rovers fans. Who don't put their club down. That's what I want Rovers
fans to be like. Why don't I go and support Villa or Newcastle then? That's
the sort of thing you will say instead of taking a look at yourself. It's
not me who's to blame for the distance between us.
How do you think I feel? How do I feel when Rovers fans act in completely
the opposite manner to the way I believe PL fans should? It's no wonder I
don't feel close to Rovers fans. I don't enjoy it at all. I want to like
Rovers fans but your attitude won't allow me to.
ad0102-Both Manchester and liverpool teams have another local premiership
team to be their main rivals. We never have had a big local team to dislike,
we only have Burnley. I dont care about what any other team does as long as
burnley get beat. If vinjay does not get why we are interested in burnley
then he is definately not a rovers fan.
Vinjay-I don't care about local rivalry. I also don't care about some club
who don't compare to Rovers in size, position or quality. I don't care about
Burnley. Does being a Rovers fan mean you have to obsess constantly over
Burnley? Is it compulsory? Sing about them constantly...and then blame the
drummers for the poor atmpsphere. I don't care about Burnley. Does that mean
I'm not allowed to support Rovers. What next if you don't chant about
Burnley you're banned? I'm just not interested in them. I don't dislike
them. I don't like them. There isn't even an inbetween...they are
irrelevant. Yet Rovers fans are still stuck in a 80's mindset obsessing over
clubs like Burnley and Preston.
I prefer to chant about Man Utd instead. At least they are in the same
league. You wonder why I don't feel any close affiliation with Rovers fans?
BECKHAM THREAD-RECENT POSTS
Simon Graners 194-Lets be honest though....what the hell would he want to
come here for?
Preston Blue-why in a million years would Beckham come to Blackburn?
Vinjay-I say Beckham would be impressed by Blackburn. They mock the club.
Who gets all the abuse? Me. Jack Walker built this club and you want to
constantly put the club down. I'ts an insult to Jack as far as I'm
concerned. It's disrepecting his leacy. Just like his family have shown no
respect for him by letting his club wallow in mediocrity.
wakefieldrawks-I also posted this in the Vinjay thread but it bears
repeating:
Vinjay to be chairman of BRISA
Vinjay-I don't want any association with damaged goods. I'm not interested
in any association that puts in the half hearted effort they had. It seems
too much of a challenge for them to put out a newsletter at the moment. It's
these people putting in a half-A**** effort who are supposed to be our most
dedicated fans. What a sorry situation this club is in.
I'd much rather start my own organisation but I need likeminded fans who are
sick of the Walkers and Williams. Maybe when people realise I'm right about
Williams you will be protesting with me outside Ewood.
Alan75-I would tend to agree that fans have been brainwashed, however they
have been brainwashed, due to the success of the 90's, for higher
expectations.
Vinjay-Who gets to post articles on the main page. People like you who do
nothing more than put the club down. Why can't someone who wants to talk the
club up get your role. The brainwashing has been done by Williams. What
other fans in this country would accept hearing no statements of direction
from heir owners?
Go back to 75. You still have the same mindset that you had when Rovers got
promoted that season. I'm supposed to feel a close affiliation with the
likes of you?
-
Vinjay has followed up with the following
A few responses here to messages. Woke up really early so didn't haveanything better to do.
Kamy 100-I take it the JW is not on Vinjay's Xmas Card List!
What a muppet.
Vinjay-No he isn't. Neither are my own family. I'll be buying presents and
stuff but cards are a waste of time. I even told my family that they didn't
need to send me cards because I've never seen them as anything but
pointless. As pointless as autographs really.
Left Winger-In fairness - you do raise some interesting points Vinjay - but
then shoot yourself in the foot in other places. So Rovers fans are too lazy
to do anything about Williams? Then you go on to say you didn't go to the
BRISA AGM as you "doubt you would be able to restrain yourself listening to
Williams lies"
I'm not happy with us being mediocre either - but I think we're actually
doing pretty well on a limited budget. We're in a bad patch - but we'll come
through it.
Vinjay-I don't see what difference I can make on my own. What do you want me
to do start a sit down protest outside Ewood. Assault Williams? I don't like
using violence so that's out of the question. You don't ned to worry about
anything like that. A mass sit down protest outside Ewood? That would make a
difference but I've tried to start a protest and it hasn't worked.
Blueboy Downunder-i think that most people on here agree that vinjay was, is
and always will be a complete (Please don't use that word again) nut!!
Vinjay-I think most people on BRFCS are sheep who tend to follow the crowd.
Stuwilky-More of the same drivel.
Vinjay-No it's a difference of opinion. Something you have always been
against.
Brighton Rover- I guess this was one of my hopes for BRISA, that maybe we
could somehow get a bit more clarity about where the Rovers are financially
these days.
Vinjay-It's a big enough shock that they actually had a meeting. Don't
expect them to get anywher regarding finanes. They seem quite happy to
accept that less funding is available despite earlier promises from Williams
and Egerton-Vernon. Who's spoken about twice in the last 6 years.
Rovermatt-What a sad, deluded, ignorant, uneducated little man.
Vinjay-Very calculated "insults." Did you just write down the first
deragatory terms that came into your head?
Ronin-Dare I say it, that I think he has a point about the small-town
mindset, and that we need to think on a national and not just local scale to
survive in the longterm - don't ask me how though, that's up to the board
and PR dept
Vinjay-It's up to the fans as well who still seem stuck in a late 1980's
mindset. Still going on extinct rivalries that should have ended 16 years
ago.
Rover 6-BTW: What was so controversial about Rev's columns that JW chose the
extreme action of censoring them.
Vinjay-They seem to have been removed from the LET archives. Wonder who told
them to do that?
bellamy11-Vinjay does make good points but when he actively refuses efforts
made to meet with him and placate him then he does undermine himself. If he
truely wanted to know answers then this would be far more preferable than
the fans protest which would keep him annonymous.
Vinjay-What efforts? I e-mailed the club on 2 occasions and recieved no
response. I no longer believe I can make a difference on my own without
support from other fans.
modes98-I don't know how you can have a moan at JW for the bellamy sale, it
was a clause in his contract! As for not trying to bring in big name
players, i think if that was the case i think hughes would have left by now.
The boost at villa has not been due to a new board but as with most clubs a
change of manager and coaching staff.
If your looking for a person to blame for the bad start look no further than
hughes. He hasn't got enough cover but also we have been very unlucky with
the volume of injuries.
Leave JW alone and go and find us a multi billionaire.
Vinjay-Who put the clause there? I would have preferred if they had told the
truth about it instead of conning the fans with the early bird scheme.
Notice he wasn't sold until several weeks after that was introduced.
Why did O'Neill join Villa in the first place?
Joey big nose-He does not accept that we suffer disadvantages in terms of
resources compared to other clubs which makes it very difficult to compete
with them.
When you consider that we do in actuality suffer a massive resource deficit
compared to the top four and even our neighbors, Vinjay does appear
suffering from some sort of mania. He is completely unwilling to recognise
actual facts.
Vinjay-Yes like the 680 million fortune the Walkers are sitting on. A
fortune that Jack worked for not them and they don't give anything back.
It's you who's unwilling to accept facts. The fact that Jack said Rovers
would always be challenging for top honours. The fcat that Williams lied by
saying funding wouldn't drop after Jack died. Do I need to bring up those
quotes again?
Exiled In Toronto-Since any new owner would most likely want to put their
own man in to run things, I'm sure JW is working night and day to find
one...
Vinjay-A point that I have considered and probably would have made at some
pint over the last couple of months. If I wasn't banned from the board.
Williams is just worried that any new owners might ask why he gave himself a
pay rise depsite a big fall in attendance.
1864 Roverite-an improvement in European games Vinjay !
Vinjay-As there should be against weaker opposition. It might be better than
before but still nothing to worship Hughes for.
bb3-I doubt very much that he is a Blackburn Rovers fan.
Vinjay-No Rovers fans are prepared to accept mediocrity and I'm not. So
obviously I can't be.
Ste B-I'm no cunning linguist, but theres something in his writing style
that doesnt convince me. I think its the fact that he seems to want to get
"rovers fans" to do something rather than saying "we should all stand up to
John Williams"
Vinjay-Clever points but sadly for you totally wrong.
I don't like using the term "we." Firstly I've seen people saying things
like "we are a small club" and do you expect me to agree with that. It's
basically saying that all Rovers fans believe that and it isn't the case at
all. Secondly I don't feel enough close enough to Rovers fans to use that
term. I can barely stand going to Ewood at the moment because it means I
have to sit with Rovers fans.
I also don't use the term Rovers very often. I've never liked Man United
referring to themselves as "united." So don't you think it would be a little
hypocritical of me to use the term "Rovers"? It shows a lack of respect to
other clubs who have the right to call themselves "Rovers." I'll refer to
the club as Rovers on occasion but I prefer to say Blackburn Rovers or
Blackburn. That dosen't make me less if a fan.
Bryan-Maybe a dingle undercover agent then?
Vinjay-If you called me a Man Utd fan (who I see as Rovers main rivals) I
might have been slightly more offended. Not however enough to causee any
real offence.
I'm not some sheep who follows the crowd. Why should I join in with the
Burnley chants. I don't want to join in with the Burnley chants. This could
mean one of 2 things.
1. I'm a Burnley fan.
2. I couldn't give a flying f*** about Burnley and I don't see them as
worthy rivals.
I know what I am in my own mind. My family know what I am in their minds.
That is a Blackburn Rovers fan and if some outsiders think otherwise so
what? What I and my family think has always been most important to m.
Why SteB do you expect me to use the term "we." I don't feel any close
affiliation with Rovers fans. Like I said I can't stand to be around them.
They chant about Burnley all the time. I chant about Man Utd. They chant
"small town in Europe" and I chant "Big club in Europe." They put the town
and club in the same context openly mocking both in the process. I say
Beckham would be impressed by the club in terms of facilities. Yet I'm the
one who's putting the club down. I'm the one who's not the real fan. I'm the
one who agrees with Jack Walker that Rovers aren't a small club...they are a
big club. I'm th one who's upset at the way Neill is disrespecting the club.
Yet it's you who call yourselves the real fans.
You might notice I've used the term "they" instead of "we." Well that's what
my relationship with Rovers fans have come to. We chant about different
things. I care more about qualifying for the champions league than Burnley v
Preston. You expect me to use the term "we" when we share virtually nothing
in common?
I don't care about local rivalry. Maybe when Everton start chatnint about
Tranmere I might. I am a fan of Blackburn Rovrs Football Club not Blackburn
town. Notice the difference? I don't put the club and town in the same
context. Unlike the "small town, small club mentality most of you have. My
mentality is "big town, big club" yet I'm the one who gets all the abuse.
1 Matt Jansen-How on earth can he have a gripe with John Williams!? The man
is doing a fantastic job keeping us in the premiership and allowing us to
continue challenging and punching well above our weight.
The bloke clearly has no idea about the history of Rovers or the background
associated with the club, and simply beleives that his town should feature a
Manchester United style football team.
As for criticizing the Walkers, he's wrong again. It was Jacks idea to
invest in Rovers and he was the only real football fan in the family.
Therefore he made sure that when he died he had in place what he thought to
be a sufficient backup plan for the club. This is now being carried out by
the Walker trust. Why should the rest of the family decide to plow millions
more into a club which they have no real interest in? We need to be
self-sufficient.
That first comment completely justifies the points I made above about
sharing nothing in common with Rovers fans. You use the term "us" and "our"
like everyone agrees with you. You expect me to use the term "we" when I
have to put up with stuff like this? I'm not obsessed with the history of
Blackburn Rovers. There is a old Blackburn Rovers and a new Blackburn
Rovers...Jack used the term new Blackburn Rovers. I'm not stuck in a 1980's
mindset obsessing over clubs like Burnley and Preston. I don't know what to
call the current Blackburn Rovers. When Henchoz signed I refused to say he
had returned because the club he plays for now is not the Blackburn Rovers
he left. Maybe the current Blackburn Rovers fit in the middle somewhere.
I think Man Utd is the club I would least want Rovers to be like.
After all the work Jack did for them don't you think they owe him something
in return. They are quite happy to sit on his fortune but won't do anything
to help his club. If they aren't interested when why can't they do th right
thing? They need to put the club up for sale. Being "open to investment"
isn't good enough.
Colin-Hands up anyone who, if banned, would send a 1101-word* email to a
moderator of the site that had banned you?
Vinjay needs help.
Vinjay-Probably a year or so ago I did. A year ago I was contemplating a sit
down protest outside Ewood. I think I've made some progress in terms of
mental well-being since then. If I need help though it's because of peopl
like 1 Matt Jansen constantly putting th club down. Yet he never gets any
abuse. I want the club to do well and I'm treated like the bad guy.
BRFC4EVA-Firstly, where he mentions our fans putting the town down, with
reference to Becks,
'Actually consider it a possibility as the club is strong enough to appeal
to Beckham. Of course
fans prefer to put the club and town in the same context openly mocking the
2 process. You wonder why attendances are dropping. Keep putting the club
down.'
Whilst we all realise that Blackburn is not Barcelona, there are plenty of
worse places in England/the world to live. Secondly we all know that a
player lives in leafy cheshire or central manchester depending if they like
the country or city life!!
Vinjay-Excactly. I talk up the club's chances of signing Beckham and others
simply mock . Yet who's treated like the bad guy? Me.
wakefield rawks-Im sure Vinjays loving this thread about him, I bet hes sad
at his computer now with his finger on the refresh button.
Vinjay-I haven't even looked at the boards in the period between sending the
e-mail and now. I never forced anyone to start a thread about me.
As for coming back to the boards if I'm reinstated fine. What's the point
though when I would have to wait for mod approval? I would be willing to
come back on the basis that my posts are immediate. I would also stick to
the topic. Not by any means am I begging to come back. I'm really not
bothered eiether way.
As for the people who want me back I would thank you. Exept I've never cared
about winning popularity contests and couldn't care in the slightest whether
you want me back or not.

I think something has gone a bit weird, young Wez applied on the Wednesday and didnt get a ticket - despite some none season ticket holders applying on the Thursday being allocated them.
Seems a little strange to me.
Isnt Wez still banned for being an arse. Sounds fair to me.
-
I'll go along with that. A one trick pony with limited ideas, it doesn't ring true. It's probably Catherine Tate.
I'm no cunning linguist, but theres something in his writing style that doesnt convince me. I think its the fact that he seems to want to get "rovers fans" to do something rather than saying "we should all stand up to John Williams"

Some interesting comments re BRISA.
What is actually happening with this?
I haven't heard anything for ages plus I thought there was supposed to have been a vote re election to the committee.Surely it's over a year a year since its formation?
Btw allow him back...people can use the ignore function vs him if they wish.
Its not been great recently, but there are steps afoot to reenergise things and turn it away from being a talking shop. IMHO theres been too many discussions behind the scenes and not enough involving the membership. Communication between BRISA, its members and the club has to be, and is being improved. as many members wont know that there is another meeting on the 20th November at the Fernhurst.

Five years ago though, Stella..
Sheff U fans getting stabbed was 5 months ago.
Then again, when we went 3 days later to watch Sparta it was fine.

Right..................................................................................?
if thats your opinion, you cant have very much faith in our acadamy??
Neil Danns has been playing out of his skin for the Brum lately .
Obviously he is playing that well that you've decided to keep cross posting it over a few threads.
-
Forget MUSE (and you can say it now btw).
Steven Seagal is playing blues at King Georges in March.
-
I still think Douglas, YES DOUGLAS could have been a big help at the moment! I'd rather play him center midfield then Mokoena...!
Also Danns is a prospect i miss who is playing well at the Brum!
Obviously as usual you have seen neither of them play. Decent lower league players maybe, but if we had played them regularly thats where we would have ended up.
-
Predictable because he is right RTM. Your posts are beginning to irritate again. Time to use the 'ignore' function once more.
We've just had this post reported because its containing rudeness... by Rover the Moon..
-
In my opinion, he's very similar in style and performance as Emile Heskey...
In my opinion you are a clueless idiot. If you would have to compare him to anybody it would be Dwight Yorke, but when he was good (ie at Villa).
Doesnt for me do a lot of work off the ball, but can link up play with a sublime bit of skill, and is around the box to finish.
Heskey on the other hand is a big lummox you stick up front to use as a battering ram, and should be compared to perhaps Roberts or Nonda from our team.

Stella - is it on Telly ?
