Ipswich are close to reaching £2 million but Blackburn would struggle to find a replacement at this stage.
The same day he linked us with Jerry Yates who Swansea apparently are happily willing to sell.
We all know what will happen. Gallagher will go, we will not sign a replacement.
We won’t let SG go unless we have a replacement.

Nixon saying Ennis deal to Bolton is more than likely off as we are asking for £500k loan fee
Hopefully that doesn’t end our interest in Yates.

Have spent some time watching bits of the Maguire lad from Orlando and while that league’s defences can look comical, he does appear to have a bit of nous about him. No idea what kinds of bids we’re lodging, but Gallagher fee + bonuses and add-ons would be a good deal, I think.
Yeah he looks dreadful but his goal scoring record tells a different story…Strange one.

I’d be happy if we sell Gallagher and bring in Yates. He’s been getting hurls of abuse at Swansea and I think a move back up north might do him good with a point to prove.
Yates also has that shithouse mentality we lack uptop - Would be a great signing if it happen.

Selling Gallagher and getting in Yates would be great work from the club.

Spot on
The truth is, we do not want Adam Wharton to move to a "destination club" where he will stay and play for the rest of his career. We may be able to ask for more than 25M if that is the case, but probably not that much more at this stage or in the summer.
The ideal scenario is Dortmund, Brighton or similar (Palace will do at a stretch) for £25M and a healthy sell on fee, and then for him to move to a European giant in 2-3 years time for circa £100M
But then you could look at it the other way. Wharton could go to the Prem and he may fail badly…There may be nothing in the sell on fee anyway because he could end up coming back to the top end of the championship after Numerous loans.
At least with Chelsea we could get a lot more money ‘now’. It’s a tough decision.

It will probably be palace looking at someone else as Wharton too expensive
It’s about Gallagher and a so called big contract apparently.

Nixon has a story tomorrow which isn’t the Phillips one - let’s hope thats some striker news.

Wouldn’t us scraping the barrel be a consequence of the current climate?
Apples are apples mate….The point is what more do people want? The lad has played champions league football, and played at the high end of the championship. Sounds like he’s had a difficult time at Celtic but let’s not say he’s shite now.
With 5 days left I was expecting ALOT worse and another youngster.

Under the current climate, seriously what are people expecting? Mental comments on here saying we’re “scraping the barrel”.

Does anyone know if there’s an option to buy?

Nat Phillips on his way…Happy with that.

Result at Ipswich shows exactly how difficult this game is going to be - Especially with their support.

Would like to see the below
Pears
O’Riordan, Hyam, Wharton
Costello ChriseneTronstad, Wharton
Szmodics
Dolan Siggy
Telalovic, Gilsenan & Garrett to come on.
-
Siggy lacks pace for me but he has good vision and reads the game well (when attacking). The first goal last night is a prime example of that - I imagine him and Chrisene will link up well.

Batty in line for Monday?
Chrisene played well tonight and although he had a shaky game against Hudds I feel he’d be our best option at LB.
Think he will make an impact this last stage of the season.

gilsenan with a lovely finish
He looked really sharp.

In the grand scheme of things we need Gallagher right now. But I can’t believe we will be letting him go on a free, when we’re snubbing 1/1.5m away.

I personally really like the look of Chrisene.
15 minutes in and I thought we may aswell send Ayari back, but he came into the game and looked good.
Aitcheson looks an unreal player. Will 100% be in the first team in a year or 2. Olson not too far behind.
Dolan looks active.

Jimmy Dunne has plenty of experience in the championship and is still at a decent age - Would be a good signing.
