With Pickering being injured (possibly long term), and Rovers wanting to loan Batty out for experience, maybe Gent will be recalled from his loan at Motherwell where he sees to have done well.  Their fans seem to like him anyway

Can we afford to pay his wages 🫣

If I could target any position for a signing it would probably be right wing/forward. Someone with blistering pace and some tricks. It’s like playing with 10 men with Moran and Markandy out there.

With the way we try to play I think it’s strange, under the JDT era, that we’ve not signed anyone like that.

S Thomas had pace but it didn’t really work out for him here, although he showed glimpses…I’d have him over Markanday and Moran on the wing though.

Personally I still have the view that the utterly key signings are a striker who scores goals and (very frustratingly) a good keeper. We have enough in other roles to get by.

Id much much much much prefer to sign a decent striker and keeper than split out resources and attention and sign four mediocre players.

We 100% need cover at CB this window. But yes a striker who’s got some pace and or abit of flare about him - This team lacks pace.

He would be a shocking signing, especially as a replacement for our only competent striker.

Hopefully its untrue because it would be the desperate signing of a donkey who couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo.

Im sure it would prompt one or two to say, you wanted experience what more do you want. Not him.

I know a few Brum fans and they rate him.
His age is definitely a sticking point though - He’s bloody 35 in 2 months!

The @RoversTrust should be putting a press release out asap asking for the removal of the board.

Reading fans are far more passionate than us and that's a really sad state of affairs.

Only way I see protests is if we go down. We beat Huddersfield on Saturday and most will just brush this aside.

Nothing will happen IMO - If venkys leave it will be on their accord.

  6. Anyone follow Travis on Instagram? Wow I know he’s technically an Ipswich player, for this period,  but my god we may aswell just pass them the contract now…

Theres no way he’s coming back to us, suppose the only good thing is that his value will increase - How much do we think he will go for next season? 4-5m?
