Apparently the club not commenting and will provide clarity after the match

They wouldn’t want to say it’s fallen through before a big game would they.

If there’s nothing to worry about they would say it’s confirmed and just waiting for international clearance. It’s happened again hasn’t it?

Just like we exposed them last January?

You lads are living in a fairytale.

All that will happen, if the deal falls through, is that we'll be weaker until the summer when the whole circus starts up again.

Chill…A repeat of last January will at least pump some realisation into those in denial.

He'd be excellent. JDT has been poor this season imo so I'm not too disappointed that he's going.

The circumstances around why he's going and the general state of the club is very worrying though.

He would but like @islander200 said we would need to offer a lot for him to come…Eustace is waiting in the wings for the likes of Leeds, Ipswich, West Brom etc

I don't understand why he would take the game and then leave

    Surely you just leave

If he is gone hopefully be sensible and get Gary rowett in at least till end of the season no gambles on foreign managers from abroad or managers considered because they had a promotion  60 years ago but hoping it's just nonsense and JDT will remain

    John Eustace for me.

Have to say, not wildly optimistic about this McGuire from the (completely unqualified) eye test.

People were writing off Telalovic because of the level he played at but some of those MLS/college clips look absolutely honking.

IMO Telalovic will be better and more effective than McGuire.

I just have a feeling that McGuire will be a huge let down.  You look at his reel and watch the way he strikes the ball, it doesn’t look natural.  It’s like he’s been playing NFL and has somehow fallen into “soccer”. He looks quite the athlete so maybe that’s why he’s progressed.

Let’s put it this way im happy it’s a loan because i just don’t think it will work here. The culture and location wont help either…I mean going from mexico/orlando to Ewood/Manchester? It’s a huge change.

I really want it to work out, especially for what we’ve put him through - What won’t help is if JDT leaves!

Ties in with us nearly crashing the McGuire deal by insisting Palace loaned Wharton back. Probably JDT threatened to kick off, so they went back to Palace and said they had to loan back. Palace said deal off. Then we caved.

JDT seems like a pretty reasonable guy. Said he signed up to have a DOF etc so knew not controlling transfers came with the territory. But the moving goal posts with the indian capital controls must just seem total clown town to him (as it does to us).

It's really a great opportunity for him to jump now. If he is weighing it up with us in 18th, all the turmoil at the club, and the battering his reputation is taking he's got a bit of a get out of jail card now. Can paint this season as entirely about the Indian court shit show and talk up finishing a point outside the playoffs last year as his key Rovers CV achievenment... While I doubt he would get a job above our level, he should be able to find a good equivalent one in a few months given the sack race.

I can't see why he would stay.

I presume he’s been planning on leaving since the budget was cut, maybe staying until the  end of the season in respect to the players and us fans.

The activities over the last week may have just tipped him over the edge and who can blame him.

This can't happen very often at other clubs?

Clearly, he's fuming. He would be asked at a presser about the window/sale of Wharton and clearly the club weren't going to like the answers he was going to give.

This is the endgame for JDT now, he'll either walk or get sacked within the next few days.

It does happen, why Mowbray got sacked at Sunderland isn’t it?

Went to bed last night after the McGuire signing very disillusioned and actually was going to come on here and ask for Waggots and Broughtons e mail addresses to let them know what I thought of their transfer window.

Woke up to find we had signed John Fleck (on another short term deal admittedly) and after some thought I am hoping this is the case :

Certainly we lacked leaders and experience as admitted by JDT and these two certainly bring both of those qualities without doubt.

I should know better after all this time with these owners , but I am prepared to accept that the Wharton money may have come to late to do any major deals and to possibly make some mistakes by panic signings

IF that money is made available in the Summer (and it won't be £18m) then it gives the recruitment team breathing space to identify targets.

Let's see if Broughton confirms that in his post window assessment. If not I'll be back on asking for those e mail addresses

It’s vital we get some assurance from GB about summer. Unlike Waggot he’s not a cold lier.

As a temporary fix this squad is okay, really think Fleck will make a difference and for me he’s the signing of the window along with the Crewe lad.

We just need confidence that replacements will be made in summer.
