The following is the part of the FFP regulations regarding owners ‘covering’ losses.
Have you/could you ask SW whether the current restrictions in India allow or prevent them from meeting this clause?
My instinct is they can’t because the courts are only letting them fulfil contractual obligations whereas covering losses isn’t (as far as I know) something they must do.
Thanks 👍
Venkys can never cover losses under FFP. It has to be covered by income (tv, tickets, commercial, player sales).

We couldn't manage that at the height of the Kean hysteria although some of us tried.
Fast fwd a few years and winning promotion there are thousands on the pitch away and at home.
I imagine the Reading owner was sat in the stand.
Remember Rovers fans on the pitch exactly like this, shouting FOX OUT in front of the Nuttall Street Srand.
Of course he was present and there was someone to hurl the frustration at.
Oh if we knew then what we know now.
Whilst our owners are completely absent, there is nowhere to direct such action.
It would have to be a televised game abandoned to create even a ripple of attention with these cun7s.

Yet again, what people need to understand that you can lose only £39m over a 3 year period FFP rules and Rovers lose around £20 per season so Rovers needed to sell Armstrong and the training ground to prevent a Transfer ban/restrictions on signings where the EFL must approve each signing.
And to avoid this situation in summer, we need £11million of additional sales income (not Venky handouts) by 30th June.
£11million less the Raya money (£5million isn't it?) IF that deal is completed before 30th June.
Same scenario as when we sold the training ground because the Armstrong sale didn't happen in time. Although the Armstrong money then vanished so we were left without both.
So what player assets do we have who can muster £11m (or £6m) before 30th June ?
And with the window system is that 2 months of time to do it ?
So where is the Szmodics rumour from ?
Developing the Championship top scorer in 1 year and selling him is EXACTLY the project the club announced.
They have never once mentioned promotion.
Only avoiding relegation.

If JDT goes, I am certain they will employee Rooney. Utter desperation meets utter desperation.

Leo nowhere near that shot.
He was also at fault for the 5th disallowed goal. He only needed to walk out and catch it. He can't catch but that is what a keeper would have done.

I guess when the players found out Szmodics was being left out in the transfer window, they just thought "fuck it, we're done".

Warnock in for the rest of the season.
He would laugh in our faces after Cheston gave him the job only for Suhail to pull the plug & give it to Coyle.

2 more goals for Leo.
Worst keeper to ever wear the shirt.
Pointless making subs at HT. This game has long gone.

If we are developing values for a business then we also can't block pathways. There needs to be new kids in the first team every 6 months.
Tronstad - value going up.
Garrett should play more - value going up.
Travis - IF he plays in a promoted side - value going up.
We all have to to put away our blue and white bobble hats and put on our business hats. We are only here to lose less money, not to win football matches or owt daft.

Tronstad is on course to be player of the season for attributes which are the opposite to why Szmodics will win it.
Both having tremendous seasons.
However if we keep losing games its a bit like the old "best at taking part" trophy.

He’s slipped down the pecking order, that’s football. So did Scott Wharton earlier in the season, should he have been shipped out too?
Of course not, just like Buckley shouldn’t have been, it’s a squad game and there’s 50+ matches for an injury prone, small squad to navigate. He’s still had plenty of minutes.
But what’s good for the team and ergo results is way down the list of priorities at this club.
Remember when people were clamouring for JRC to get shipped out.
Oh how we need him now.

Best case scenario is the court says no.
The lights go out. The people get laid off. Administrators sell the club. We have 10 points taken away. We go down. The Rovers rebuild with a united fanbase and enjoy our glorious future.
Anything else is delaying the inevitable above.

I get what you are getting at but surely all of the current costs are deemed essential running costs ? Then the losses are the losses. Otherwise we would have got rid of it already. I would get shut of Suhail but in terms of the Indian court, an employees wages will be essential. I don't think there will be any negative impact on our FFP compliance (the one thing the club always trumpets).
Of course I could be wrong. Just my thoughts on it.
