    Is he fuck as like.🙄

    Of course he is.

Look at us before him. He almost kept us up, convinced Venkys to keep the likes of Graham and Mulgrew, got us promoted from league 1.

That promotion in its self is legend status, look at the clubs that can’t get out of that league. If we didn’t do it that first season, I don’t think we would be out of it now.

Imagine what we could achieve if we had a good manager is another way of looking at it. For example was it a wise decision to pay good money  to Boro for Pears? I fear we might be about to find out.

We always said on here that the young lads we have should have figured over the old uns he kept picking.

Sitting 4th in the league as we come into December after having no money to spend and you digging out the manager? Really?

There is a trend of people saying that Mowbray's transfer dealings have been great now that Brereton has come good at last.

No recognition of the fact that he was not what we needed at the time and that TM told us "defenders are coming" when they weren't. And we paid for it on both counts.

I’ve always said this, and I don’t know if I am right or wrong, but I believe we signed Brereton out of our budget that year.

I believe we had a budget for season, Brereton became available, so we got extra funds to sign him as an asset for the future.

  4. I first saw Brereton when we beat Forrest away the year we got relegated. He stood out to me that day because of the way the home fans treated him and how he glided across the pitch with the ball.

My brother lives in Bristol, we went to the game the season before Covid and I was telling him how bad this Brereton had been, and after the game he agreed.

Last week I went to Bristol game with him and was telling how great Brereton was, he wasn’t having it. Then after the game, despite Brereton not being massively involved, he took his offside goal well and got the equaliser, my brother appreciated the change in the player.

I have always supported him, but his price tag made you forget his age in the early seasons.

IMO - We had a transfer kitty and TM as always likes to collect attackers, end of story. When really, we need that money spent elsewhere.

In actual fact he signed two young strikers for 8 million in Armstrong and Brereton.

One scored 29 goals and was sold for a massive profit, the other is now on 15 goals so far this season and also likely to go for big bucks, or stay and do a great job.

Buy you attackers and sell them for profit is the only model we got. Defenders won’t go for the same. But when you bring in a player like Ayala on a free then who’s complaining?

Last season the criticism of Mowbray using his Boro links like it was a weakness, when in reality Downing was our best player his first season and Ayala has been a rock this season.

Their is an obvious trend of people on here slagging off Mowbray signings and then looking stupid.

I’m not expecting anything special from Dack for this season. You could also say the same about JRC.

Yeah but with our pauper budget we won’t sign anyone better. I think we are covered well in all positions as it is.

I would never turn down a player who would make us better, but I’m not going into January refreshing the transfer thread hoping we sign someone.

  7. A great win. Regardless of the opposition, we see time and time again in this league teams slip up in these fixtures.

We we’re clinical tonight. To many times last season we dominated but didn’t take chances. They had a 10 min spell start second half where with some poor defending we still managed a clean sheet, but that’s what having a great keeper like Kaminski is all about.

You can’t get carried away in this league, but to quote Mowbray we put the points in the bag and move on.

Start of season, I would take where we are at and how we are playing.

I've said for a while that I think Nyambe is disillusioned and his heart hasn't been in it for a while. I lay most of the blame for that at Mowbray's feet. Most of us know he has pissed him around a ridiculous amount. The lack of a proper backup hasn't helped either, with him being forced to play whilst not fully fit at times due to injuries to the non-RBs that sometimes get preference over him, further straining his hamstring.

That said, it's still RN's career at the end of the day, and despite the manager he has to find the drive to make sure his next move is a good one and his career doesn't tailspin.

What are you on about? Last 4 years including league 1, Nyambe has played 29, 29, 31, 36 games. Plus playing every game he’s fit this season.

They have on average 7,000 more people to sell food to.

Yeah, maybe because their is food to buy. Supply and demand. There is no where to buy food outside Ewood, bar a burger van not affiliated to the club hidden behind club shop.

Bristol today, you were security checked, then let into an area outside ground full of their fans drinking and eating from multiple outlets.

Ewood you just rock up, can go get a fosters from the gazebo or go inside and take your seat.

I've been a big supporter of Nyambie but hes been poor a bit too often recently. I just wish they'd concentrate on making him into a proper right back this wing back nonsense just doesn't work.

How many times does he or has he got forward properly and made it count ?  Hardly ever he just gets caught forward all the time when he should really be concentrating on his positioning. It's similar now with Edun at the other side although he's good going forward. Time and again though we put ourselves under needless pressure with them being caught out.

I'll maintain Ryan can be a really good right back at this level but wing back he really ain't, not good enough.

Until Poveda got injured he was playing as a right back and was still useless today.

Against Derby and today, Buckley has had a hand in our 3 goals from right back, offering us something Nyambe can’t. That’s not to say I’d rather Buckley there, as against some teams he would get torn a new one defensively.

But essentially we need a mixture of Nyambe and Buckley at right back.

All I know is the more I’m seeing Nyambe this season the less I care if he leaves in the summer.

  11. Someone touched on this elsewhere, but at Bristol today their was so many fans outside the ground drinking and eating etc. At Ewood we have the gazebo by Jacks statue and that’s it. Bristol must of had 10 or so food/booze stations outside the ground bringing in money for them.

I am not from area, so tend to just go in Blues bar. Is there any pubs near the ground fans go? I haven’t seen any. But having more facilities outside the ground would clearly make for a better ewood experience and bring in more money.

Where do locals go before home games?

Have to say I’m really disappointed with Nyambe today. That goal is 100% his fault.

His yellow and his poor performance meant he needed to be subbed, but with no RBs in the squad we had to move Buckley there. Mowbray was then forced to bring Clarkson on in his place, and while he didn’t do that much wrong I think he didn’t add enough attacking threat for us and we lost control of midfield a bit towards the end.

Travis was also out of sorts and it should have been him hooked instead of Davenport who was excellent. I’m not sure if Rothwell was the right sub to make… he was poor IMO and I think someone like Johnson would have added more bite to our midfield as they were pushing us around too much.

The game was there for the taking, so it was disappointing not to come away with all 3 points.

Mowbray’s best decision in the game was to bring Ayala on as it absolutely killed off Bristol City’s attacking threat. The other subs were poor.

I would say you have it all spot on bar Rothwell. It felt like before he came on we had no one in the middle trying to move the ball and unlock things.

Spot on with Davenport, far more effective then Travis today.

You are right @Wood26, nobody wants excuses and I hope these don’t sound like them. The Trust board is small and has some new additions (myself included) and we need to improve communications. There is work going on with the website which hopefully you will see soon.

These are some FAQs I’ve worked on, hopefully they will answer some of your questions. If you need to know anything else more specific, give me a shout.

    What is Rovers Trust?

Rovers Trust is a registered Co-operative and Community Benefit Society regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.Since its inception, the Trust has worked towards supporter representation at Blackburn Rovers Football Club. Our elected Board are responsible for day-to-day Trust operations and working for the benefit of our members and the BRFC fanbase as a whole.

    What are the Trust’s aims?

Our aim is to represent the interests of Rovers fans whose continued passionate support is pivotal to the success of our team. We also aim to celebrate and preserve the heritage of our club for future generations while protecting the club’s assets in the immediate and long-term future.

Our ongoing activities are based around three overarching aims:

     Celebrating History
     Serving the Rovers Community
     Protecting the Future

We were founded on the belief that supporters are the one constant at any club, and as such deserve significant input into the running of their clubs, and a significant ownership stake remains the ultimate aim.

    Is ownership realistic?

We retain a long-term aim of a meaningful supporter ownership stake in the Club ideally alongside like-minded major investors, similar to the shareholder make-up of German clubs. However, we remain acutely aware of the current reality. BRFC is reliant on the owner’s financial input to remain a going concern. We acknowledge the club is well funded via the owners, through necessity, due to the fact the club has been badly mismanaged throughout their tenure. When this specific long-term aim can be achieved has to reflect current and future realities and is largely outside of our control at this time. We will maintain our position regarding ownership at a national level and support appropriate campaigns within the wider Trust movement.

The Trust are very proud to have already acquired a minor shareholding within the club. While it isn’t at the level we’d ultimately like, it effectively gives all our members some ownership stake in the club they love.

     What has the trust achieved?

In addition to acquiring a minor stake in the club, the Trust has a large number of successes, including:

Sponsorship of local grassroots football teams
     Sponsorship of first team players
Had Ewood Park designated as an Asset of Community Value (ACV)
Led and contributed to multiple public meetings regarding BRFC
Forged strong links with and provided interviews across regional, national and international publications and media outlets
Put forward Early Day Motion to Parliament regarding football governance
Contributed to Fan Led Review of Football Governance led by Tracey Crouch MP
Attempted to open communication links with the Club’s owners via open letters
Regular meetings with the Club’s CEO as well as contributing to Fans Forum and Supporter Consultation meetings

What about performances on the pitch?

Ordinarily, the performance of the manager and players is something that elicits many different opinions and wouldn’t be something the Trust would campaign or comment on. However, where the actions (or inactions) of the club’s ownership negatively impact on field performances, the Trust would be expected to represent the opinions of its members.

    Why should I join?

If you are of the belief that Football Club owners should be able to do as they please, the Trust probably isn’t for you. If you believe that the supporters have a moral right to influence and representation at their clubs, you absolutely should join!

By becoming a member, you can shape the ongoing direction of the Trust. All our members have an equal say in the running and direction of the Trust – one member, one vote. As well as annual elections we are obligated to run, we aim to regularly canvas member opinions. You can also attend our Annual General Meetings and other events.

As a member of Rovers Trust, you also become a minority Shareholder in Blackburn Rovers Football Club!

The Trust is only as strong as its membership, and the more supporters we can claim to represent, the more likely we will be to succeed in our collective aims.

What is the £10 fee for?

In an ideal world membership would be free. Due to our constitution and our status as a legal entity, we need to charge a nominal fee. This is currently £10 per annum, and has been since the Trust’s inception.

As well as covering our not insignificant administrative costs, we aim to put your money to good use. We wish to enable the Trust to grow and achieve even more, as well as providing tangible benefits for our members.

How can I be more involved?

We welcome input from all existing and potential members, and you can get involved to whatever level you feel comfortable with. We hold regular elections to determine our Board, which any member is eligible to stand in. We also regularly co-opt board members outside of the election period.

We are also reliant on the help of volunteer members. Thankfully The Rovers fanbase and Trust membership possess many wide-ranging skills and expertise we regularly draw upon.

While we are always on the lookout for people who want to get more involved, we value all our members. There is no obligation to become more involved, and many of our long-term members prefer to support the work of the trust in the background.

Thank you for explaining, I have just joined.

My gut feel is Mowbary tried to re-invent the way they played two weeks ago.and just confused everyone.  Nyambe was completely out of sorts.and I am convinced the only way he's staying here is if we get a new boss, we won't so bye bye Ryan.  Good loint in isolation but we really did make Bristol look good.

What do you mean by this? Nyambe was rubbish today. Why would a new boss be only reason he stays? I’m not aware any issue between him and Mowbray?
