  1. competitive that should have wrote, i hope you accept that my true sincere sorry for looking to 😜mislead you
  2. I want that fussed when they got relegated but hats off to others who achieve ...we had a little spell of being completive in the championship play offs and failed.
  3. Well as has already been accepted everybody is entitled to an opinion and most things in life are simply that however strange they may be to others... two and two is four...no arguments ... are Preston fierce rivals with anybody but Blackpool ...not in my opinion ( i was being a little silly with that remark .please forgive me) are Preston and Backburn at this present moment.. rivals in my opinion they are. The meaning of rivals a person or thing competing with another for the same objective or for superiority in the same field of activity: I would suggest to anybody that the meaning of rivals most certainly fits the present day Blackburn - Preston situation.... You win tonight your above us on goal difference and the aim of all teams is in fact promotion so i suppose your right although i am not sure why your referring to next season but yes i suppose all teams with a fighting chance of promotion are indeed rivals.... although in my opinion neither us or you are likely to get promoted but you never know Luton did amange last season.
  4. Ok thats fine but i asked you a question, would you like to answer it or continue with your child like comments?
  5. Less of an issue for a Rovers fan but again my thinking has always been to support all other local and northern teams bar when they play against us.... jealousy and hatred is a bad thought pattern, and if smallish Lancashire teams can compete in the prem its show hope is there for us all .... it also usually allows myself and my grandson to pop along to watch prem football at a cost that is affordable!
  6. As you appear to have read my initial run down of our results and point totals this season you will see that i have put WHAT I felt was a fair result. If you wish to suggest that any game is simply based on any given decision then that's your entitlement. If you wish to take your mindset then i suppose we could knock the "dodgy" penalty off in your opinion (if you go on the Coventry forum you fill find that a good numbers of there fans stated it was a penalty) and i could knock the dodgy Coventry first goal for offside and we would have a score of 2 - 1. Would that change my opinion of the game ...no. What do you base an opinion on? Generally we bossed the first half without producing much of a goal threat but going in two one and then the game was more open and went end to end......my opinion was it was good solid win against a team that sold big and invested big. (in comparison to us)
  7. Have you seen the form table for the last 8 games? Relegation form.
  8. Some people do not like him because it appears they are anti scouse...i am not i do not care where you come from if you up to it. some people do not like his fist bump to the crowd after any game that involves a win. I think that the day is about entertainment and if parts of the crowd like it ie the younger ones no issues with me, i do partake away from home ... some people say he never takes the blame for owt.. i agree .. some people say he is tactically inept. i think he is still learning this div and coaches a team that often comes up against teams with far better players... some people said he came in giving it the big one on his style of play...i ask them what do you want him to say! My feelings are it is what it is and that often the grass is not always greener and managing to compare this crazy league possibly needs to be not attempted as its a league with such extreme levels of financial advantages you could argue all day long what's the most important factor. If you argue against the advantages of parachute payments you will have people saying "well Luton...look at Luton" -
  9. The penalty was the second goal for Preston which i believe was a foul therefore a penalty the only issue was that the lad didn't get sent off..... dependent on how you wish to see it Coventry first goal was offside. So overall a good solid win that should have been by a bigger margin unlike the defeat to West Brom which could have been eight!
  10. I must admit a number of fans do get ever so excited about numbers. I often find that the more numbers there are especially i have found at Blackburn ( easy of getting to game) is that the more numbers do not pan out into a better atmosphere. As i find difficulty in our fans most recently at gentry day Middleborough "buzzing" off a great atmosphere produced while getting battered on the pitch and not even attempting to compete...... If Ryan lowe had been in distance that day he would have got more than a mouthful.... But i suppose its what turns people on ... some people like to make immature comments on a forum and get off on it...
  11. In general i find the Rovers site much better that the Preston one and always enjoy engaging with other fans on match days... I do not have a son but a grandson i have and he doesn't have a prem team he supports Preston North End. I do not know what the Blackburn away support is like (although i did attend the Blackburn v Burnley game last season) but i can tell you if your interested that Preston have a solid base of young fans aged 15 - 21 travelling away. I hope all Lancashire teams have this and therefore the base of all our clubs is stable for a long time...
  12. I have to also admit sadly that enjoyed Blackpool fight in the prem back in early part of the after life...... Sadly i admit to wanting them to stay up and admit i quite liked Hollaway and wouldn't have minded him as our manager...
  13. I wouldn't say so i think by reading your comments most can see that trying to attempt to have a proper conversation with you and your type would be pointless. But as its matchday im going to try, If you could if you will take the time to explain both of your comments to me that would be great and make me perhaps be able to understand your mindset. At the moment i believe your a child but perhaps there is another reason your manner is as it is.
  14. I am glad i have found a fellow supporters with the same opinion, as a life long Preston fan i can put my hand on my heart and say that i enjoyed the Jack Walker time and was happy for Rovers to win the Prem. I can also say that i enjoyed Burnley fight in the prem under Dyche......
  15. I think you may be confused what i was looking to suggest in maybe a poor manner was that it TAKES two to tango, ie you may well have won more and more important trophies but without others you would win nothing. So to make it more simple what i am saying is that its all about the competition itself. Also could i suggest that history is a matter of opinion for example if i were a dingle i could look back and suggest that Burnley over the last decade have been the most successful team in Lancashire. I suppose it depends on what agenda to push. My agenda is i am an old preston boy who supports his home town team and any glory or lack of it does not stop me attending home and away to support my team. It doesn't matter to me if we are in non league i will still be going........
  16. As a fan that's been to every game bar Ipswich away i can give you the following opinion.... Bristol away - could have won but drew Sunderland Home - Could have lost be three goals but won Sheff Wed away - Deserved to win against a poor team Swansea home - a win for pne but draw possibly fairer Stoke away - deserved to win and won Plymouth home - could have easily have lost but won Birmingham home - Deserved the win Rotherham away - should have won but drew WBA HOME - battered could have ben eight Leicester away - hung in then easily beaten Ispwich away - poor easily beaten Millwall home- home drew but could have won game in first 20 min Southampton home - drew but should have won Hull away lost but fair would have been draw Coventry homes - good solid home win As a quick rule of thumb most games in this league that we win we could have easily have not!
  17. To be fair maybe it does i want to win all games especially derby's...... as you say the Blackburn derby is not as fierce and is more enjoyable although i don't think i have ever been on a session in Blackburn on a match day. Football fans are all the same bar they support a different team. Back in the day when you where in the prem we use to jump off for a night out after Burnley and that was good fun.... My uncle tells me that in the 1970 both teams use to operate a bus to go to each others games when they were away from home.. my grandad in his day use to cycle to all teams in Lancashire simply to watch that teams star play......
  18. Not knowing some annoy9ng little nobber probably means you miss out on the sensation of beating the pne..... i could maybe set of an adoption programme where those that don't know an annoying nobber could adopt one or maybe a family....
  19. Everybody is entitled to an opinion but most fans as i have already stated agree both teams have bigger rivalries but i would suggest your probably in the minority and that clearly even by reading this forum there is clear evidence that a number of your supporters see this as a rivalry and a game they would like to win. Although i would agree that most supporters want to to win every game and it doesn't matter where the team is from!
  20. I would say so i think its all been done in a fair and business like manner allowing all that want to travel to travel. As you said last game just after the world cup i think was a smaller than what i would have expected following from Preston, not sure why but it was.
  21. it does appear that way....lol,,, although without all the the other clubs you wouldn't have been able to beat anybody! The English football pyramid the best and most interesting in the world.
  22. I would have to agree with you on this one it does look like we have not sold all our allocation and if we do manage it today then it will be today and meaning that the vast majority bar one or two have had enough time to purchase a ticket. I would believe that more fans would require more security types both police and stewards as well as catering staff.
  23. i think that's a fairly common thought process amongst all fans playing in a local derby and the derby is local even if both clubs have bigger local rivalries going on against other more important enemies. If i make ask you what you get excited about that would help me to understand your thought process..
