Absolutely, i am ok with the old banter although to be fair it is not really banter but the truth! The truth is many of Lancashire Mill towns have done brilliant over the last 30 years something that Preston will struggle to manage. Not stop be going home and away ... i am ok with other local teams doing well it just evidences that its possible! I am looking forward to Wigan Bolton Burnley getting back in the championship.... the local derby's are always the most interesting.

Thank you for your response always interesting to see how different people/ supporters etc. look at matters in relation to their teams exploits or lack of them as the case may be. I don't tend to take any personal offence or any personal achievement off my team winning or loosing as either way it wouldn't have had a lot to do with my bit of personal cheering or my bit of money chucked at the club over the years.

Thats a rather interesting take on the standing of teams from Lancashire. Be interesting to know what others think of this and how there thoughts work in comparison to this chart. Clearly the dingles will never be top of any chart on this forum!

Very, indeed having visited plenty of clubs we seem to have a lot of fans that talk absolute rot, very often... and really have no manners especially those under 30 that only reall understanding of football is FIFA on the play station. I think the under 30 seem to have a general disrespect for most things mind....

What is it you chaps think you should be aiming for? Do you think the owners want instant success or do they have one of these "5 year plans"?

Calling you guys plastics is referring to the Blackburn fans in Preston that "bought in" when you were winning the top league,... something that happens to all teams when they do such likes... We have many idiots, i got banned from the forum for asking them to change the name of the thread from Plastics to Blackburn Rovers away thread.... rudeness clearly runs deep.

Always seems a shame when people are trying to do good but do not manage it , a lot of money agreed but lets hope they come good as there both English i think and we could do with more English talent coming thru. I think you've done alright since you come back up, obviously being a club that been in the prem you have higher expectations THAN US BOY!! I think we as a club over achieved in the first part of the season mainly due to the fact that we got a lot of penalties, not that they weren't penalties but that we seemed to get a lot of pens were people hand balled it for no reason or tripped our players as they were going away from the goal etc....

Blackburn is a proper football ground, Love its situation love the atmosphere around the ground with the close proximity to the shops , houses, back alleys, decent amount of pubs close enough to walk. Dont go for all this hatred, as with all the Lancashire clubs including Blackpool i wanted them to do well in the prem, was telling my grand son who Jack Walker was yesterday and what he did for his club......... Its a lot of money to spend, do you think the manager bought these players or was it the club? At Preston you never always seem sure, one thing is for sure we never seem to get our first target in each position although we have had a couple of decent third choices...

is he really that bad? I know he sounds dour on the radio but i think you have to remember there ain't a lot in this league and a lot of teams do cancel each other out... My boys certainly didn't go at you and it was clear Alex came for a draw therefore making it harder for your team to find space.

As a Preston North End season ticket i thought the game was dull in large parts, the conditions may have been a good reason to do with that as it wasn't that long ago that these two played out a very entertaining game at Deepdale. I thought the Blackburn lads played there hearts out and scrapped for everything and should more than likely have won. Preston have been off form for a couple of months now and we have been hard to watch since Daniel Johnson got injured, i would suggest perhaps that both clubs suffer when our more creative players get injured as nowadays there are not a lot around. I think your right wanting more for your 12 million spend but at least your lot spent it!

To be honest he doesn't usually play.. has come in last couple of games because Pearson got suspended and we had to change the shape of the team. Hence in my opinion why we looked like couldn't string more than 4 passes together and struggled to keep the ball.,

It sounds to me like perhaps its not the manager buying the players.....

Well put like that I would have to agree .. cant say we have ever had to think about anything over at North End in that league of transfer fees or any where near it or even half... maybe a quarter of that fee once a long time ago... I must admit I hadn't even heard of the lad and wondered what the big payment could be for...…
