As a follower of football in general it's always interesting to gage the true thoughts of other teams followers. It also interesting to see how other teams recruit and what there fans think they should be spending on players and wages. The Bristol City manager said last week how he liked some of our buys that our sort of clubs are fishing in the same pot.....then a week later the local press report that our wages bill has gone up to 15 million....while Bristol City are spending 28 million. Interesting pot! If a manager feels he wants to put somebody on the bench should it matter how much he cost? we all think differently I suppose it's what keeps it interesting...

Potts has played in championship before so he has gone straight in and done ok, looked a bit tired in last couple of games but maybe he was carrying an injury. Storey keeping Huntington and Clarke out.... young makes errors but one decent player now and should get better. His partner came thru youth, was played as right back... terrible, as centre back very very good although form was poor beginning of season... be top player. most of our squad have come from a lower level and haven't cost a lot, in my opinion it makes it interesting to see how a manager try's to get by when your chucking lads in that don't have the experience nor maybe the talent (only playing them tells you) and still gets points..... we we signed a lad from Walsall been at Burnley....not been near team yet!

As a Preston fan I thought Blackburn where rather unlucky not to get a point. I thought Blackburns work rate was good and although the tactics seemed a little one dimensional I thought on another day they would have scored at least one. Preston on the other hand played a different team due to injury and suspension but in general bar good defending looked poor and like team that hadn't played much together before..... but out I suppose to be honest they haven't. I think this shows that it's going to take longer to get the squad up to a level that will get us into the play offs. That said we are still in with a shout and as we sit here today we have a winning momentum. Hopefully Pearson will be back running it next week and thus allow the other players to do what they are good at. Darnel sending off was a disgrace. Be interesting to see if Tony Mowbray can stop the root as you chaps where doing well not so long back....good luck for the rest of the season.
