Gally and graham up top and get the high balls in. Since we dont have any real wingers, no creativity in the middle since we lost dack, just hoof it home. Our only chance.

i agree,we don`t play with any width thus meaning we have to go sideways or backwards all the time, might as well sit deep and launch it long into space, armstrong would be perfect for this scenario, just teach him the offside rule first, bang it over the top and use his pace to unsettle the defence

Reckon I might get a few more people joining my - “yeah Harry Chapman isn’t actually *that* great” - club after today!

I know I do often talk about him but honestly he was just as weak as Buckley today, no physicality whatsoever and looked nothing special for the time he played.

buckley is`nt ready for this level and probably never will be,to be that small and make it at this level you`ve got to be special, only player i can think off who was that slight was craig bellamy,he was a fantastic player though

Gallagher is useless. Two league goals is pathetic for any striker who has played as much as him and who is undoubtedly paid as much as him. No better than Brereton. They won't get five goals between them all season. He was crap last time and he's still crap now.

i`ve noticed with gallagher,he can`t hold a ball up to save his life and for his size,he aint half a soft touch,he reminds me of tiny taylor, all the attributes but none of the aggresion needed, souness could never get the best out of taylor,im`e beginning to think the same with gallagher, though im`e not sure with this coaching set up,they would probably **** up lionel messi if he played for us

Really disappointed to only get 2 points from the last 3 games, but we are still in the mix. I think it’s a really bad time of year to judge as, though we made 5/6/7 changes per game it’s because of the fixture pile up and we been unlucky with injuries.

The winner today 9/10 goes over the bar. It’s a crazy league and we will lose a few more games along the way, so let’s see where we are.

I was worried start of season where goals would come from when Graham was dropped and no Mulgrew, and sadly no one has stepped up.

I couldn’t care less about losing away to Huddersfield, I expect it in this league, I’m disappointed we couldn’t get a win at home against Wigan or Birmingham.

I think our team suits playing away, we can’t play against teams that sit back, added to the woeful atmosphere at Ewood, we need to find another way to play at home.

i admire your optimisim but the stark reality is we are not very good,we don`t score many goals and we can`t defend either, hard to see us being anywhere but the bottom half come may

  5. i find it a bit distressing that the way to gain a victory over us is to launch long balls over the top and then press us back ,we must be the weediest side in the whole football league, completely bullied today as we have been numerous times in the past, like iv`e stated before,we have far to many contented players, just turning up for their wages, look at the difference in effort and desire today,i was embarrased to be a rovers fan,can you imagine the likes of faz, keeley, todd, nelson, hendry, samba, batty, sherwood, flitcroft etc being pushed around like that

Perhaps if we sing :- We've a star man not playing on the right.

                                    And he's ****ing dynamite

rather more appropiate would be -we`ve  a star man not playing on the right

                                                           his name is harry chapman

                                                          and mowbray thinks he`s shite

I agree with Buckley, he needs a decent run of games. As I mentioned in another thread, his style of play reminds me very much of Scot Sellars.

if he`s half as effective as scott then i`ll have no complaints just hope he avoids the mowbray curse of not taking it seriously enough,we should have a bloody fantastic u23 side with all the lack of seriousness in it!!!!

Joking aside, if Rovers grasped the opportunity now in front of them by the scruff of the neck, made 2 or 3 astute signings in the window, played a consistent formation that suited the players available. We could go up!

Let's be honest, we've been generally shit and are still on the fringe........

it`s a big if,i would`nt trust mowbray to bring in the right players to push us on,he is`nt positive enough and his team selection makes me want to strangle him,i agree though in general,if we could manage to get in the play offs,we all know they are a lottery, anything could happen

Noticed this too. The ‘the unbeaten run continues’ and ‘still unbeaten’ tweets from some players yesterday evening were really annoying. How are we ever going to kick on if that’s the attitude? Players with any ambition would be tearing their hair out after our two results this week against dreadful teams.

this is what you get with journeymen players, who are no doubt satisified with their effort, like iv`e stated before,we have to many of them, the likes of bennett, williams, bell and evans would be binned within a month under a fresh manager with ambition

TM must be the luckiest manager in this league by some stretch. Not only is he well in with the ownership he has a set of excuses lined up to prepare for the next bad run before it happens.

Also every time his head nears the block he somehow quite remarkably has a blinding moment of clarity in his selections and formation. The team responds and saves him with a little purple patch before he inevitably gives in to his inner 'keep em all happy' demons again.

Any club in this division that has 3 forwards costing a combined 15 million before wages should be able to score goals really.

bang on,unfortunately tony is terrified of playing football that will give them opportunities to score

If our transfer policy is built upon selling our best player in January (and primary goal threat) presumably to a divisional rival (not good enough to attract serious Premier League interest) then we are in trouble.

To begin with very few clubs at this level have the means or freedom under FFP rules to pay what we should demand for a player of Dack's importance.

Secondly if we were to sell him to bring in reinforcements the damage done to the team through selling him would create more problems than it solved.

I'm afraid I don't buy the FFP excuse. Last January we were in good form and on the cusp of the play-offs. We refused to add any depth to a weak defence and paid the penalty, going on an atrocious run of form that almost saw us dragged into a relegation battle. If there was one lesson to take from last season it was that we needed more depth in defence to weather injuries and suspensions. Mowbray appeared to have accepted that in March/April when he spoke to the fans meeting. Then he went and spent £5 million on Gallagher whilst not investing in defensive signings.

He failed in the summer by signing Cunningham and Tosin on loan whilst allowing several defenders to go out. We've just about managed through to now despite losing Cunningham for the season although Lenihan, Tosin and Williams have all spent several weeks out with numerous injuries already. With Tosin mysteriously injured again and Williams not great an injury now could derail the entire season.

Despite the disappointment of the last couple of games we are still in a good position and perhaps a couple of good additions away from kicking on in the 2nd half of the season, whilst adding nobody and ending up with injuries to defenders could completely derail us again.

If January isn't a time to invest and add depth with us on a decent unbeaten run and within a few points of 3rd and 4th then there will never be a good time.

are you summising tosin is`nt injured and there is some other reason behind his abscence??

  12. get yourself down to ewood park for a fantastic second half of the season, join our play off push and support our dynamic squad to glory, remember, you are our 12th player, one lucky ticket no will go into a draw and gives the winner the chance for a day out behind the scenes with tony mowbray,to see how our manager devises tactics, gives the  team talks and how he works out the opposition

ewood park needs you, join the rest of the desponds, buy horrible snacks that are overpriced, watch journeymen pros try to pass a football, wonder at the amount of time a set piece does`nt end up in the box and for a bonus, join the the big money sweep stake  that pays out huge dividends  on the amount of passes that go backwards

Mowbray on Radio Lancashire suggested it will be about 12 months before we see him again.

did`nt shearer do the same ligament,he was back in 6/7 months i think though a sad blow to our season imo,on an even gloomier note,iv`e just looked at the table and we could have been bang in the play off zone with two wins against mediocre sides we`ve just played, ffs will someone give mowbray an undercooked piece of turkey
