the art of longevity in football management is surely not to criticise your players in the press and the comments on bennett are incredoulous,he should`nt even be in the side ffs,he`s liability at full back, not very effective anywhere else and this plum is building a team round him
-
inspiring stuff from mowbray!!ffs i would`nt like to be on the front line fighting the taliban with him,he`d make me want to surrender, what would happen if bennett got injured,he`d have to phone the samaritans?
-
nice one,now iv`e got to look forward to either nyambe or williams being completely beasted,i must be physic because i can see myself freezing my **** off on the riverside, watching substandard, weak defenders get molested and then get praised by mowbray their svengali, while our big oaf of a centre forward is playing on the wing, you could`nt make it up?
-
i don`t understand keeping a player on that is permenently injured and never likely to break into the 1st team, another case of mowbray not being strong enough, pay the lad off and get him off the wage bill, ffs mowbray are you a man or a mouse
-
week after week we see the same players make the same mistakes, mowbray has`nt got the minerals to drop them or ship them out,for someone who was a trenchant defender who would head bricks to stop a goal,he`s got strange management style,i hope barnsley don`t turn up with a big centre forward who likes a physical battle,we be f****d!!

bring back bobby saxton,he`s getting on a bit but always had us strong at the back, williams, nyambe and bennett would be gone within a fortnight, terrified of his withering tongue?
-
i think mowbray will resign before christmas if things get worse or at the end of the season otherwise,he can`t be short of a bob or two and recently he`s been looking more and more moribund,he surely must realise he`s reached the end of the line, spend your saturdays on the radio tony, you`ve done a decent rebuilding job for us but it`s time to retire

lol,all this talk of playing ben up front,we`ve got five centre forwards and none of them are played up front, apart from armstrong who`s a midget and the one who should`nt be there,it`s mowbray logic and the odds of brereton playing as a striker are very long indeed

the only direction mowbray and his mates are taking us is down, maybe not this season but it certainly happen the next,id`e give DJ the job in an instant,we might even see a bit of attacking football and less of bennett, nyambe and williams, the same three who always make mistakes week after week
-
tony does`nt do strikers though does he,he won`t even play his best one,it`s a mystery as to why brereton was bought

i sincerely hope he does, though i suspect if we do get a new manager he`ll be the first to get shipped out

Just to clarify, are you saying you don't rate Brereton that highly?
lets just say he`s yet to make a favourable impression on me!!!

whoever scouted and sanctioned the transfer of brereton should be sacked forthwith, never in my long football watching career have a seen a player who is completely without any decent attributes whatsoever,he can`t pass,he can`t run,he can`t head a football,he can`t trap a ball,he`s as weak as a kitten,he`s got no awareness and he does`nt even look like he`s interested, bloody hell, even chris brown had some good points, desperately bad as he was,he did make himself a nuisance to the opposition centre backs

how bad will it get before tony the tactical marvel gets the boot,i think it`s in the players hands, they can`t be happy being shuffled here, there and everywhere, apart from bennett and williams who mowbray treats like prodigal children, the rest of them must thinking about going upstairs and making their case about underachieving,we should be comfortably in the top ten with the squad we`ve got, with a few additions next season we could be challenging for a play off place, give johnson the job,he knows the players, knows their strengths and unlike mowbray,he is`nt into the total nepotism of picking players he likes, even though they make mistakes every week and are generally not up to the job

Why? Just why?
This seems a dangerous obsession. Why weaken players by taking them out of their best position?
Thinking on it,, I wonder if there is an element of I need to find a centre mid who is decent as I've dropped another clanger with Johnson. A bit like with covering up the Gally situation by shifting him wide right.
imminent sign that evans will be a regular and holtby won`t get anywhere near his best position of centre midfield, tbh he could have one leg and still contribute more than corry, mowbray must think he`s not fit enough and far to maverick,is`nt it strange that some players in the squad are, according to tony not quite fit enough yet,the mowbray scale of fitness is a complete mystery to me

How long until Tony is giving Del a game upfront? Another goal tonight.
yeah,he`ll replace him at full back with gallagher?

tony needs a bang on the head(unintentionally of course) i once did a few weeks for a landscaping company, one of my colleagues got whacked in the head by the jcb bucket, after being in a kind of semi coma for a few days,he woke up and had a completely different personality, before he was a bit of a miserable git after the accident he was the life and soul of the party?

I know this bloke divides opinion but I wouldn't be against Roy Keane coming in on an initial 6 month contract. He has so much fire in his belly I'm pretty sure he would sort the shambles at Ewood out!!
nothing against keane,he was a world class player, but this is his major problem,he simply can`t understand why his players can`t do what he used to do and thats why he gets frustrated and thus his management record is pretty poor,it happens to loads of world class players, they usually make terrible managers because they can`t manage or understand players who ar`nt as good as they were, bobby moore for example was a shocking manager,so was bobby charlton

Mowbray will never give anyone licence to run riot, so we might as well put that one to bed.
If they do even try to run riot, they’ll be dropped.
lol,the phrases free role, run riot, get forward, attack, get down the wing, beat the full back, get the cross in quickly, make the final pass count and overlapping fullback are enough to make mowbray put you on the transfer list, you can imagine him bawling at you at half time,"don`t ever do stuff like that again" or "how dare you use that language in my dressing room"

the most frustrating aspect of the mowbray tenure is the fact we are defensively inept but very good going forwards,so what does tony do??he has us playing defensively, trying to nullify the oppostion,i really can`t understand it,we might as well go on the offensive, granted we`ll concede goals, but we`re doing that now without scoring,i honestly think we`ve got the nucleus of a decent side,it just needs someone to come in with a complete new mindset, who knows,we might even get manager who thinks playing with two strikers is`nt a mortal sin

so he signed him because....
you`ll have to ask mowbray that question,it`s beyond my realms of comprehension

harry chapman will never get picked by mowbray,he could score 3 hat tricks in a row, toast full backs everyhere and play like he`s damian duff the 2nd,i guarantee he would`nt get picked because he has`nt got a defensive bone in his body

-
holloway is the complete polar opposite of mowbray,we are likely to play four up front if he`s manager and we`ll get better post match interviews
-
anyone wanting chris hughton should look to the reason why he was sacked at brighton,he had them playing containing, boring football which did`nt produce goals and let a lot in,sounds like a certain mr tony mowbray imo

i think we all want rovers to win every game,it`s just difficult to get motivated as a fan to go and watch the same boring, soft, negative aproach every week,iv1e said it before, whats the point in trying to contain the opposition when our strength is attacking, our defence is pitiful,at least try and score a few before we inevitably concede one or two
