managers should`nt single out players to the press,say it in the dressing room and coach the player,ffs mowbray is`nt that you and your staffs job,gallagher is`nt ever go to be a star but give him some coaching instead of telling him what to do

reading todays telegraph mowbray again discussing players by name and singling them out,a manager should keep his views on his players to the dressing room and training ground,it can` t help morale to be honest,you never read about saxton,mackay,dalglish,souness or hughes etc discussing what a player can or can`t do to the press,completely counter productive imo,especially to a young player

this management lark is all about man management,you`ve got to treat people/players differently,some you can leave alone to get on with it,some need encouragement while some you just need to get rid of as quick as possible,it`s the same as managing a works department,if you don`t have their respect or upset them all they won`t perform,i think this is happening at rovers,i saw it at huddersfield,half the side won`t go the extra step for tony,i think he knows it but is either to proud or hoping to secure our place in the division for next year,then he will resign with a pay off
