On the subject of Marcus Maddison, it's strange that his ex-manager McCann wanted him seeing as he's apparently such a bad apple.
@chaddyrovers this is worth consideration surely ?

I’ve got a soft spot for rb Leipzig . They really irritate the fashionably socialist side that seems to dominate German football

It’s a different thing in Egypt imo and other 3rd world places ... not that I’ve been to loads , India Sri Lanka Thailand , it comes from desperation where as in California it feels more criminal .... however the east coast of America you can hair get on wirh your life

If you'd seen the kind of people offering it to us I think you'd understand (goes for both the weed and poetry tbh).
Definitely a memorable experience.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek . While I love the east coast of America and have been many times California did not agree with me , you are correct there’s always someone on your case . At least it’s not Vegas

Maybe we just went at a bad time, but we were coerced into buying some rap albums on burned CD-R's, offered weed at least half a dozen times, attacked by a dog (fortunately small) and nearly dragged into performing some strange improv show on the beachfront as well as read some poetry by somebody I had never heard of. I was exhausted by the time we left.
Nearly bought weed ? Read poetry ? Very traumatic

He’s not good enough to make Brightons match day squad in their opinion

Walton is in Brighton’s eyes rated 3rd to 5th . As Khod says .... it’s really that simple

So, he’s currently fourth choice then, like I said? Glad you agree with me. See, that wasn’t so difficult, was it?
If Ryan left, they’d probs spent a truck load of cash on a new ‘keeper. It seems unlikely they’d throw in a guy at the deep end with no experience in the league his club play in.Is this obtuseness deliberate on chaddys part?

yes. Roversfan99 is never going accept the Peterborough Chairman comments on Maddison or the fact that despite his great stats Clubs have never bought in. Rovers didn't sign him. end of story.
That wasn’t the end of your story though , you have dismissed him as rubbish . Had we signed him he would have been the second coming

Maybe, you could add Speedie?
I get your implication, but I do think it is a bit more complicated than that. There is an argument for considering the impact of a player on the atmosphere and culture. I know it shouldn't just be about cosiness, but also include willingness to challenge others etc.
Now I happen to know that Bellamy is supposed to be a bit of a bully. He consistently targeted Pedersen-according to Micky Gray, anyway.
Bellamy's own performances for Rovers were excellent, but could his behaviour have had a negative impact on Pedersen's or others' performances?
These are valid issues for a manager to consider imo.
Yes speedie for sure . Talent often comes with baggage . Look at the music world .
Bellamy did target mgp. This was confirmed at source at the mgp night -
Unfortunately it will have been easy to sell as it just wasn’t that good , the restaurant and rooms should have been competition for northcote but the food barely matched the clog and billycock . The spa was just cheap groupon deals .

Neither of which have started in the back 4 in nearly a month and we’ve just kept back to back clean sheets....?
The benching of Bennett does seem to have flown under the radar for some. He wasn’t involved at all against Charlton. Seems firmly out of the picture for now.It took a while but I’ll give tony credit for admitting bennett offers nothing at all

Bellamy
savage
diouf
etc

He’s had a good spell but equally he was horrific prior , so perhaps see if this spell continues , if so perhaps retain him for a nominal fee and have him compete for the jersey with another decent keeper . Eg Darlow.

Weatherall was brilliant, no doubt about that and a sad loss. He was the same age as me as well, which is always a very sobering thought.
However, I think your comment is a bit harsh mate, to be honest. Don't be fooled into thinking that Caroline Flack wasn't extremely talented. She was an excellent TV presenter and a superb dancer as well. The fact that you or I might not have been into the shows she was involved in doesn't mean she wasn't a very talented young lady. Apologies if I come across as a grumpy sod but it did hit a bit of a raw nerve with me that comment.
Agreed on all counts , perhaps there was a time I’d think it was superior to like the cool techno DJ over the lady from the dancing but I grew out pit that thankfully

I'm not asking anyone to bite but expressing my view. As I see it there is no way to describe how difficult it must be for someone to carry out the act. It seems to me the drivers are to end their misery and to end a skewed idea it will protect those around them. This is what makes me feel it's selfish as the reverse is true with regard to those left behnd.
I wasn't going to comment on why I've some understanding of mental health issues but I've changed my mind.
I know four people with diagnosed bi polar. One chose me, no one else, to confide in. I don't know why. I knew nothing about the disease. For four months I was the only person who knew. More people know now and the person is, nearly three years later, well on the road to recovery. During those four months, when I was sworn to secrecy, I tried to understand and learn what to do from zero knowledge. My every action was about trying to help and equally I worried constantly if any of my actions were contributing to or worsening the illness. It was a torture for me. Only my friend knows how it was for her.
Second my best friend in life, that's in 65 years, suffers from this terrible illness. The illness is controlled through medication but cannot be increased further. I know through everything I see things over the last two years have driven my friend to the point whereby I no longer understand how life is being held together. This is the strongest person I know. I feel I do know the one thing which stops my friend totally falling apart. I worry every hour of every day as I try to find ways to help. Things are at a point in recent months where every effort fails.
So I feel I understand something of what those with mental illness face. I also have real understanding of the impact this has on those who love and care for them the most.
Finally I'll add that despite my best effort this post can be read as though it is about me. It isn't. It's a probably very poor attempt to explain why I understand a little because it can only ever be a little - which saddens me every day.
But you haven’t actually Personally contemplated that the world would be a better place without you on it ?.........

In what way is my remark misinformed?
As for a lack of understanding on mental health issues you are completely wrong as it's something I have much real life experience of.
Why would I lie about whether or not I know who Caroline Flack was? Can you explain why I should know who she is? I'm aware of Love Island but have never watched it. I've very occassionaly seen X factor.
Come on mate , hand back the spade .

I think it’s the implication that when someone commits suicide it affects so many other people be it friends and family grieving or the officials involved in dealing with the situation and so on ,
but hey it’s not like people to want to kill them selves just to be awkward.
imagine sinking so low that you feel you have no worth existing ? Some Of don’t have to imagine that , they have been at that point but are still here now be it for divine intervention or just making a balls up of the attempt

It's very sad for those connected with the individual when someone dies. We shouldn't lose sight of this.
It's being widely reported Caroline Flack committed suicide. A very selfish act.
I wonder more and more about the cult of the celebrity and why so many people have to live their lives through others. I had never heard of her before.
A vile and misinformed comment . Your lack of understanding regarding mental health is astounding . Also a complete lie that you haven’t heard of someone .

Small point I just remembered, but made me so proud, was when one of their players fronted up and pushed Buckley early in to the game to intimidate him, only to be instantly surrounded by 5 Rovers players. Love it.
With this I concur

Both central midfielders are absolute bell ends in footballing terms. I mean that in a good way when they are playing for us, wind up merchants, if need be, cheats, hate them if they play for the other team.
Yes it’s about time we had some trademark shithouses. Same way I loved savage and dioufy

Spanish football is beyond bent , Griezmann messi faty not enough for that poxy league not to mention two recallable internationals on loan , they are granted an emergency signing from struggling Leganés who in turn are not allowed an emergency loan .
will messi ever have the balls to play outside of Spain ?
