Our inability to shut games down always seems to wipe away my initial optimism

Walton has suffered criticism as he was a bit of a fluke signing after failing on other targets , he replaced one of our own youth prospects who seemed to be somewhat marginalised ,l and he doesn’t belong to us . He was also rubbish to begin with . He’s improved significantly which although I’m slightly cautious about I’m v happy about

It’s all a bit of fun.
He got a glowing and heartfelt chant and round of applause when he came out for the second half.
And I’ve been clean for years thankyouverymuch.
I wasn’t referring to you !! Equally I’m far too old to be sniffing anything now at 39 however I can imagine some full out idiots giving him stick too .

The away end were making sure to remind him that he’s one of our own.
Especially when he gifted us the pen.
Yeah one of the reasons I do less away games now ( but wasn’t the reason today as I tend to do most London games ) is the coked up peasants they seem to attract more and more . Respect to a lad who moved from abroad as a v young lad to give us his all

Raya had many of those rushes of blood for us and cost us a lot of points. There was a chant of "you're just a shit Christian Walton" to Raya which I found amusing.
I’d also add that tombola hung raya out to dry , one of our youth lads

Amusing but frustrating , raya , if you think he is shit or not is one of our lads . He deserves our respect . Blackburn lad by proxy .

I wouldn't have said it's out and out wrong but more soft. I'd have been disappointed if it had gone against us.
I could not agree more , ours was fairly soft theirs was disgraceful

I’d say he’s already WAY better than King ever was for us
Shame we didn’t deploy king correctly

Raya did the right thing for me. He made Armstrong go for the chip. On another day the gale could have carried the ball over the bar. As it was Armstrong judged it to perfection.
Yes I agree but some seem to want to find fault in the way he breathes to justify his sale

Whilst it’s a stunning strike I do think Walton lost his bearings a bit, shouldn’t be central there but I don’t think a shot first time was anticipated by anyone
As we are being hyper Critical about the keepers then yes perhaps he did seem a touch at sea , but only in the way that only a tiny amount of posters think raya shouldn’t have attempted to narrow the angle with Armstrong

Two soft ones today. You could see those two incidents in another game and nothing would be given.
I’d go with that

I wouldnt be happy ascId be blaming Walton for being a bit thick.
Do you think Raya stops Buckley running after the ball?
Yes but I would say they kind of just clash imo, I didn’t think there was intent , I can certainly see how it was given too but I’d be annoyed had we gave it away . Not as annoyed as their ridiculous dive

It would have been a peno in either box, obviously
Would you have felt harshly treated had Walton given it away ? I would

"Collided" he was all over him like a lampshade. He actually landed on top of him. No need to do it.
Would you have been happy with accepting it in our box ?

Argue? Very sensitive Stuart, but that's you. I'll leave it at that before you start crying and telling mods that people are being mean to you. That is your MO.
Bit much really

Soft pens will often come in pairs

But that’s my point Stuart. We didn’t ‘allow’ them back into it today.
I think we allowed their chances to materialise by just hoofing it into the wind for a good half hour .

Wether you like it or not teams that get promoted see those games out one way or another from 2-0 up.
I think this is exactly my frustration

That doesn’t make sense mate - we all saw what happened today. No blame attached to Rovers for either of the two we conceded, surely?
No not the goals at all just the sense of points dropped again is so frustrating like we can’t quite push on
-
There pen was a dive but is there anyone here honestly who would have had no issue if it had been given against Walton ? I for one would have not
-

That worldie would have gone in against anyone, and the soft penalty, well.....
Mental weakness and lack of depth had absolutely nothing to do with not seeing the game out today. I’m not saying it hasn’t in the past, but I don’t think you’re being rational here mate.
I’d agree if it hadn’t felt so predictable
-
This chaddy guy is sending me mental , I’m an adult so I won’t be putting him on ignore and I think he has obviously right to opinion , and the partisan attitude is to be admired but the inability to just be objective is borderline inhuman . I’ll perhaps put it down to being a fairly young lad , the exuberance of youth !!

Yeah, we had the fight and togetherness but in possession we were lackluster.
Yes that’s why we didn’t win , an inability to hold onto a lead .... again , their soft pen was just the consequence
2 good goals ,
2 soft pens
2 keepers doing decent jobs
2 points lost although I suppose overall they were the better side
