  1. Was always going to be a tough one after they took a battering against Rotherham. I think Ince has done well to get a response from his players but that’s exactly what we need now. A response to a poor performance. If Reading can do it against us, no reason why we can’t against Sheffield United.

  2. On their forum some Reading fans are saying that our good start reminds them of the good start they had a couple of years ago which soon was negated after the bubble was popped. They think that after Wednesday we won’t sustain the same run of results. On the flip side some are saying we are their first real challenge of the season and for them to only have 3 points against the teams they have played is a warning sign of things to come. Hopefully we win comfortably but this is reminding me of the run-in towards the Hull away last season.

I assume you mean this one?

Erm, no thanks. Not for the home anyway. Wouldn't be too averse to doing something with it as an away or third kit, but no, definitely not the home shirt. Those halves (or quarters!) are our identity & are sacrosanct as far as I'm concerned

That's the one yeah. Just imagine it in blue and white and id be happy with it. I know the opinion is controversial however. I like what you say about it being an away kit though. That would be good in black and red wouldn't it.

    I like it 🤷🏼‍♂️
They had better reverse the halves ( or quarters) on the back though if they dare be that brave 😅

Glad at least someone likes the idea.

All for trying something different but the forest one was too extreme for a halving of the colours. A smaller section of fade might work.

There's other ways to try it - Atletico Madrid have wavy stripes next season, but I'm not sure a wavy line for the halved shirt would look good. Maybe a red pin stripe separating the halves? Dashes of the opposite colour on each half?

I find the "dashes of the opposite colour on each half" idea quite imaginative. I could go for the odd splodge of blue on the white part and vise versa.

That shirt was awful... so your mate was right.

Hahaha love how blunt that comment was.

Thanks to everyone for being respectful in agreeing or disagree with the original post. Can be some quite harsh people on here who wont only disagree with you, they will attack you personally.

  4. I was telling a work colleague about what Macron could do with our home shirt and he dared me to post it on here after I told him. He said it won't be well received but here goes anyway.

The Forest away shirt by Macron last season was a two colour half shirt with the fading of the colours where they met in the middle. I said "I think it would be different if we tried something like that instead of the straight cut line down the middle for a change."

That's when he dared me. Be kind please...

I hope the sponsor on the actual kits is similar to the training wear, instead of a horrible black/blue box just stuck on there.

Yeah that’s what I was going to say. I think there is a good chance the sponsor will be like that as I think the sponsor last season had to be the way it was to cover the up the recoverite logo.

    It’s funny how managers are…

Ted Williams was arguably the greatest hitter the game of baseball produced, in the modern era. But even with all his skills, in four years of managing the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers, he won only .429% of his games.

Leading one manager to opine, “it’s not always about the X’s and O’s, but about the Jimmy’s and Joe’s.”

Our new manager can only do so much with his skills; here’s hoping he will be given a budget to buy a couple decent players! 🍻

    Rays Up!

You always say variations of this rigger, I’ve noticed, but you have to be ‘bothered about other results’, as we obviously won’t win every game (and neither will anybody else) so clubs will always need favours from elsewhere.

I agree that teams need favors from other teams somewhere or another. Those favors are useless if you don't do yourself a favor and capitalize on them. Rovers have been failing to pick up wins when favors have been handed to us. So all in all my take is, teams do half of the favor. The other half of it from yourself.

  8. From what I’ve gathered since speaking to people I know about the new shirt sponsor, the ones that are complaining about us promoting vaping have never expressed a problem with vaping before (and having the sponsor on the training gear or stadium). When I’ve called them out on falling victim to their own cognitive dissonance, when in reality they think the sponsor looks hideous and the sponsor name sound ridiculous, they have been stumped.

In short they don’t like the look or the name and they don’t see it as a good enough reason to be outraged so they decide to be offended about vaping companies when they couldn’t care less.

    Me too.

Thought I was the only person in the Country.

Not only does it ruin every boxing event I have to endure it at at Rovers as well.

I disliked it from the very first time I heard it. It's just become a really annoying, over rated, and over played song like Mr.Brightside.

I’ve nothing of substance to really add . I just wanted to say I’m so excited and enjoying football in a way I thought I’d never feel again. I thought my youthful ignorance coupled with the good times was the pinnacle. With age, getting older and wiser plus the decade we’ve had , I assumed that my truly passionate days were done and I would just enjoy the football as a pastime but I’m just delighted to be able to feel truly passionate again. I’m counting down the days to the next game, I’m giddy and nervous pre match. I’m feeding off the positive energy in and around ewood and I’m proud of all the young lads who put 100%  every week regardless of anything else.  I’m happy again. Merry Xmas everyone 🎅

I feel like this comment will have resonated with a lot of Rovers fans. Well said buddy!
