That was a game / day out. Was in the cricket field stand behind the goal as the away end was full. As Garner scored a lot of jumping up, row behind me was a rovers fan who got attacked before police intervened. They could not reach me and my brother

Coach from Waterside I was meant to be on got put in the bee hive end as away end full, fighting erupted and they were marched around the pitch to the away end fighting anyone on the front row of the Bob Lord on the journey

Crazy to think police put you in home stands if away stands full...1977 did not go as too young but my brothers went , I think we were 3 nil up at HT, brother had his scarf nicked outside the ground, sensibly did not chase the guy who took it

I was at that game as a 16 year old. We were in the away end of the Longside and that got closed at around 2pm ish.

Mayhem that day in the cricket field stand but more so in the Bee Hole end. My overriding memory was policeman's helmets being thrown in the air. It wasn't a pleasant experience leaving the ground either. The guy driving our Capri decided rather stupidly to drive up past the fire station, down Ormerod Rd and under the culvert, right back outside Turd. We were of course accosted by irate Burnley numpties.

Should have turned right after the fire station and over to cliviger as we were from rossendale.

    Great win though.

He started 39 league games for us last season when we finished seventh.

    He clearly isn’t mediocre.

Sorry, but I've never rated him. Yes he's a hard worker and a trier yet he can't pass a ball, is scared to shoot on goal and his arse is to near to the pitch to win any headers. He's been OK I suppose but he's nowhere near as good as Tronstad. Miles off.

Deluded, it's completely over reliant on the academy due to a lack of investment and a reinvestment after releasing a huge amount of senior players in recent years without replacing them. The academy should be complimenting a senior team, instead it's forming the foundations of one. As mentioned earlier today, the fans need a reality check if you can't see this. It's a team crippled by terrible owners and a lack of investment accumulated over years, not injuries. Half of these players would be away on loan if the owners had any true interest.

A real owner (a Walker), present on the ground, with this manager and academy and a reasonable amount of money to spend would have this Rovers team pushing for promotion with ease...

The squad isn't just stretched it's being completely abused and they are performing miracles. The owners are scumbags, like plenty in the football world.

We are under a self imposed transfer embargo and are being starved from above. 13 years and counting...

JDT is talented and will walk whenever he gets the chance, and some will STILL sit and make excuses for the owners. Incredidtpostpidtpost postpost postpost ible.

I don't think the squad is stretched, what it is missing is a killer instinct.

Whilst you are correct that we miss the killer instinct, you are way off the mark regarding a stretched squad. Everyone else can see it but yourself!

Watfords bench won them that game whilst we had the tea lady, the groundsman and Waggot on the bench.

To be fair, Leeds fans are pretty loyal considering the length of time they spent in the Championship. A lot of that loyalty comes from their success in the 70’s and 90’s. You can’t doubt their getting behind the team.

On the point of sitting with the home fans I recall being in the South Stand when Shearer scored a hat trick. Sitting on our hands without saying a word ensured a safe exit at the end of the game.

Is that when we were 3 nil up at half time?

My exit wasn't a nice experience to be honest.

The side are playing some of the best football we have seen for a while. The support is tremendous and we have a manager who actually gives a toss.

Whilst I understand the sentiment Aqua, it’s not all bad.

I agree with the style of football and I think JDT is great.

But it's only temporary imho. We are being killed by a death by a thousand cuts and next season will be the most important in our history I reckon.

Our loans will go back to their parent clubs, our better academy players will be sold and the money unlikely to be re invested. And JDT will leave to manage Forest Green fucking Rovers!

Im enjoying the football mate, I really am but I cant see it lasting.

What's the betting we receive a nice Xmas present from Waggot?
