All championship goalkeepers make mistakes as proven at both ends of the pitch last night.
So who's the best championship keeper?
As for Whalstad.. A bit of catching practice wouldn't go amiss. Punching the ball will inevitably lead to the odd balls up.

If Hyam is deemed unfit for the Swansea match I'd have Scott Wharton replace him and leave it at that. Hate changing a winning team.
Hill is doing a great job where he is.

No surprise there tbh.

FYI... They meet up at Ewood working mens club before the game for a pint or 2.
My old mate Paul Scaife from Bacup will usually be there. I will ask him if he will share his contact details.

I’ve had a season ticket at Ewood ever since the early 90’s and have always gone to games with my dad and my son (who started coming with us in the mid 00’s)
This season, however, my dad’s health has meant he has had to give up his season ticket and my son has gone off to uni so, at the age of 45, I’m suddenly finding myself in need of making some Rovers supporting friends to save the match-going experience becoming a frustrating/lonely one.Particularly, I wondered if there’s anyone on here from Rossendale (I live in Bacup) that would be interested in sharing lifts to and from Ewood?
Im from rossendale but currently live in Sweden. The guys I used to attend at Ewood with are all from Rossendale. If you want I can contact them and see if I can get them in touch with you.
Can't make any promises of course but will try if you want. All are in their 50s to 60s and are decent fellas.

What an awful day/year, so sorry for your loss.
Poor fella has had a right shite time of it this year.
Condolences from Bangkok roverandout.

I know we are at home but I would set up exactly the same way as we did at QPR.
We had a decent bench there so could change things quickly if jdts plans were not working.
No one deserves to be dropped from the QPR game unless injured of course.

Why are folks dropping Carter?
I'd move Hill into midfield with Wharton if fit and either Tronstad who looked good v Coventry or Travis beleagueredly.
Can't lose this game for gods sake.
I'll take a clean sheet right now.

So sorry mate. You really are going through the wringer right now after just losing your father.
Like others have said, cancer is more treatable these days. Stay positive mate if you can.
All the luck in the world to your mum.
Sincerely...... Steve.

Not to be pedantic, but asking people if they expect to win every game looks daft when we are 20th and have lost 4 on the spin.
I get the spirit of the post and agree it wasn't as bad as it could have been but people are going to be pretty miserable at sitting 20th with 5 defeats in 6, especially after the hope (and crushing disappointment) at the end of last season.
Well let's see where we are after Gallagher, Ennis, Leonard and Hedges are fit again. The sooner the better obviously.
Yes it's obvious that we are all miserable right now... But some posters, one in particular, calling Carter shite is just wrong. Travis is hit or miss for me right now.

I know Gallagher has a lot of detractors but we do a lot better with him in the team than not.
We will l be OK I reckon. We won't get promoted thank god as I think we will be an embarrassment in the Premier league with these owners.

We just lost again? Do you expect cartwheels and confetti?
Of course not no.
But we have no fucking fit strikers for gods sake.
Do you really expect us to win every time we play with a team shorn of forwards?
Bout time some got a bloody grip after a game and maybe have a horlicks and an early night before ranting.
We all hate being beaten, especially as Coventry were no better than we were at the end of the day.
We deserved to draw that game and I'm sure Coventry couldn't or wouldn't be to upset if it had ended that way.

That should have stood. Goalkeeper hadn't gathered the ball.

I'm going for a whalstad fist into the Coventry net for 99th minute winner!
It wouldn't be karma but it would give me a good feeling.
Good game so far for Rovers.

RIP to Franny Lee BTW.
It wouldn't be a surprise to me if that famous punch up between him and Norman Hunter got reviewed and both players stayed on the pitch!!
Fuck Var off and go back to the old system imho.

I could go to this game, but I'm not sure I should. I've never seen us beat Coventry, and that includes the infamous 5-0 loss at Highfield Road, and the game with the 96th minute equaliser when Mowbray was manager.
At least you didn't go to the 0-5 loss at Ewood!

Liverpool goal was onside and wrongly chalked off.
As for the first sending off... Just pathetic. The lad was neither being dangerous or aggressive, it was a yellow card offense.
The Var decision was made to quickly imho.... The lad went for the ball and caught his foot on top of the ball meaning a natural connection with the spurs player.... No malice intended at all.
The games a joke these days.
Keeley would only making about 8 appearances a season if Var was available back when he was playing.

It looks like Sheffield Wednesday could be heading for a similar heavy defeat as Sheffield United. Currently 0-3 to Mowbrays Sunderland after 31 minutes.

Travis is out injured for 2 weeks. If and it's a big if for me, Hill goes centre back then Brittain should go RB. If that's the case I'd bring Markanday back on the wing. Lads done nowt wrong to my way of thinking.
That said, if Hyam is missing just put Scott in there and keep the same as the last 3 games.
