Coldest for me ... Roker Park '86. Lost 3-0 to boot IIRC
Perishing that place.

I personally wouldn't be keen on Hughes. His success with us was over a decade ago.
I'd rather that we looked forwards.

Waggott should be hauled over the coals for this.
It's 100% on his watch.

The state of the pitch is obviously an issue.
What irks me with Mowbray's comments though, is him publically calling it out as he has on the back of yet another dismal showing, and seemingly laying the blame on it for the result.
The pitch didn't stop Rothwell running 30 yards, nor Armstrong latching on and finishing. The pitch wasn't the reason why we gifted yet another goal from a set play. It wasn't the reason why Stoke were the better side.

I don't necessarily agree with the view that the players are all that much.
Mowbray has reached his ceiling and has taken us as far as he's capable, but I'm not convinced another manager would get that much more out of this set of players.
A better manager would find better players though.

Fair enough. I think the point being made is that scraping an occasional win and a couple of draws here and there which just about keeps our noses above water and Mowbray in situ isn't taking us anywhere.
As opposed to people wanting the Club they support to lose per se.
I think we agree! I'd love nothing more that for us to go out and stick 5 past Swansea on Tuesday. That wouldnt change my view though; looking at Mowbray's tenure holistically and realistically, he's run his course, we ain't going anywhere soon, and a change is needed.

Don't need lectures from you on my commitment thanks.
I'd have been happy if we'd scabbed an undeserved win but a point that might help keep a lame duck manager in situ for a while longer isn't a good result for the Club imo.
Why are you (apparently) happy with a manager who has been performing poorly for the last two and a half seasons? I could reverse what you said and state that with fans like you who are happy with any old rubbish, it's no wonder we never get anywhere.
Did I say I was happy with the manager? Did I say I was 'happy with any old rubbish' ?
Err...no I didn't. My view is quite the contrary, thanks all the same.
Mowbray is a busted flush; sooner or later he will be gone. In the meantime, I never want us to lose, whereas some people apparently are.

Years of frustration , loss of appetite for the games and club, I think it’s completely understandable
It really isn't.

Can’t deny if it meant removal of the blood sucker I’d be all for it
Unbelievable wanting us to ever lose. Each to their own I guess.

Agreed. Although from Mowbray's point of view I guess it gives him something to latch on to and whinge about the disallowed goal etc etc.
From my point of view the Mowbray death spiral rumbles on - two wins in ten in all comps and I'm glad I didn't waste £10 on that rubbish today.
And can't really see any point in watching them until Mowbray goes.
What a state of affairs.
So you'd prefer Rovers to lose rather than get a point? With 'fans' like you....

I think there's more of a player in Buckley than we are currently seeing. But he needs to start showing it before his career fizzles out. He's definitely not a right back, that's for sure.

The missed chance by Buckley summed it up for me; there's no winners in the side. A winner would have busted a gut to get the ball over the line.

Not sure about this.
Isn't Chapman under 23 so isn't counted in the 25 senior slots?
Genuine question.
Good spot - you could well be right.
Which then begs the question of how many 'free' senior slots we have, and whether we need to move someone out to make room for a defender loan?

Gallagher had a good game. Some great defensive tracking back. Worth his place IMO.
Completely agree about him having a good game, constantly tracked back to help Douglas out at RB. He was knackered at the end.

Mowbray back on his latest excuse for our abysmal run of form which is apparently all down to missing Lewis Travis and once he is back playing everything will be OK.
Should keep trouble away until the end of January or beyond when Travis is match fit again.
Exactly this. Chapman has freed a 1st team squad place up, so we may see a defensive loan come in.
In the meantime, Mowbray will be crossing his fingers on Travis returning, Ayala getting fitter, and Douglas miraculously being able to run. Risky business though, with some difficult games coming up in January.

First post from me, so here goes...
We can't keep a clean sheet to save our lives, no matter whom Mowbray picks in the back 4 or what exotic formation he tries to instill.
2-1 loss.
I hope I'm wrong.
