  1. Ideas for the next protest?!

The club is dying before our eyes. At what point will the majority of our fan base wake up to what is happening? When we’re in the Bottom 3? When we get relegated to League One either this season or next? When further playing assets are sold in the summer for a knock down price?

Gutsy but ultimately failed performances in the FA Cup or a pragmatic manager (who so far has been unable to achieve anything more than uninspiring draws and defeats in the league) aren’t going to change anything.

Time to WAKE UP and DO SOMETHING & keep the spotlight on our cretinous owners and their stooge Steve Maggott. Parasites that are killing our club from the inside out with their short sighted and non-sensical business decisions.

That couldn’t be more highlighted by loaning out our combative club captain & selling the best young midfielder of a generation ahead of time to keep the club afloat.

GET THEM OUT BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!

The worst thing about Moran for their first goal is that after being cheaply beaten he doesn't make any sort of effort whatsoever to get back, and try to retrieve the situation, just sort of jogs back casually behind the Swansea player.

Agreed, absolutely awful but to be fair to the lad you don’t want him in those areas. He’s an attacking midfielder/forward yet for some reason has been asked to drop into more defensive areas by both JDT & JE. And he’s not up to it.

Thought he did well v Newcastle but he shouldn’t be playing in midfield. Unfortunately we let Travis & Wharton go and Tronstad being injured highlights the incredibly short sighted business decisions that happen at our club under Venky’s & Maggott.

    GET. THEM. OUT.

The club is dying before our eyes and players & fans are sleepwalking into League One.

    TIME TO WAKE UP!

  3. Same old Rovers yesterday.

Pears flapping. Moran losing the ball in key areas leading to easy goals for the opposition. Gallagher & Dolan, despite the recent clamour, would only be squad players in a team at the higher end of the Championship - both demonstrate a distinct lack of quality in the attacking 3rd of the pitch.

If Gally had a first touch and could hold the ball up to bring midfield runners like Bucko, Szmodics & Moran into play he’d be fantastic. But he doesn’t, and his stats back up that lack of quality year in year out. And he’s a big pussy who gets subbed off at the slightest hint of an injury.

Ultimately though, the blame lies with our cretinous owners & their stooge Steve Maggott. We’ve not had the budget to replace weaker first team players & ones that have left the club with better quality. This will lead us straight into League One, either this season or next. Both the players and the fans need to wake up to that fact very quickly.

Tim Krul was in goal for Luton. No way Haaland scores five past Tommy 😂.

Agreed, he wouldn’t have even got a hat-trick with Tommy K between the sticks!

One was a nutmeg & another went right through him. Made it easy for Haaland who hasn’t been in great form with his finishing lately

  5. Proud to be a Rover last night after an awful few months supporting this club! 🌹

The coaching team, players & fans united under the lights, mixing it with one of the Premier League big boys - what we had for 2 decades before our cretinous owners turned up!

And a peaceful protest against the parasites running our club - Venkys & CEO Steve Maggot - that didn’t affect the lads or the enjoyment of the game. Impact made live on BBC One and in the wider media, not quite game, set and match but we certainly made a point 🎾

Well done to all involved 👍

i think if we beat Newcastle on Tuesday night we should get an automatic promotion spot

The ticket map v Newcastle is pretty worrying. Anyone know how many tickets we’ve sold?

Haven’t seen much marketing for this fixture at all amidst all the relentless fake positivity surrounding the new manager on social media & the website.

If we can’t sell tickets for a game against a “glmaorous” Premier League & Champions League side what hope have we got?

I think  this will be the mirror image of the fixture under JDT at Carrow Road, with their players running rings around our bamboozled and disoriented mob who resort increasingly to cynical tactics to try to stop them.

It was one of Leo's better games, and the Dolan / Sammie combo did a great job.

Can't see past a reverse here, unless there is something up JE's sleeve.

    The downgrade goes on.

    Rovers 1 Canaries 3

    F-OFF VENKY-RAO-DESAI Punatics

    F-OFF CREEPING-AROUND-IN-SHADOW-MAN-SUHAIL

    TRIPLE-F-OFF MR-HRH-THE-MORON-OF-TWAT-SWAGGOTT

One of Leo’s better games? Chris Sutton called him a “Flapper” on the commentary!

    Looks promising.

In the absence of any other organised ideas, this one looks the best.

Whistles on another pre-determined minute towards the end of the game to call time on Venky’s?

I hope everyone is not fooled by the relentless fake positivity coming out of the clubs social media & website, in the absence of any real communication about what’s gone on. Are the majority of our fan base really that stupid and gullible to fall for a League One Manager & kick and rush football to get easy points? Even the players are in on it now, clearly being put up to praising the fans who travelled to Cardiff on social media….whatever the f*ck next?

  9. Sad not to see him in a Rovers shirt for another 6 months but glad he’s done so well in his first few games for Palace.

He’ll thrive under their new coach playing in a midfield 2 which should bring out the best of both sides of his game. He was positionally superb last night and always looking to play forward when he got the ball. He did his defensive duties well too, even muscling Doucouré off the ball on one occasion which is no mean feat. He only looks lazy as he’s 5 yards ahead of anyone else on the pitch in his head and so is always where he needs to be without looking like he is trying.

He’s a generational talent and it won’t be too long before the top 6-8 PL Clubs come calling for his services.

  10. Bring back JDT!

Callum Brittain is a sh*t house, bleating like a little lamb within days of JDT leaving and then putting an awful performance in like that and giving away a goal. Poor lad not being able to cross, pity he’s not able to defend either.

I don’t like many of this squad anymore. Szmodics & Tronstad are the only 2 that are solid week in week out, the rest are either sh*t, sh*thouses or permanently injured like JRC.

  11. Are Dolan & Gallagher ACTUALLY any good? No doubts we’ve missed them, but only because their replacements are absolute garbage.

For me they’re just good in comparison to the poorer standard of player we've signed who really should’ve been a step up in quality if the club had any real ambition to keep progressing.

Neither Gally or Dolan have consistently shown they’re up to it in the past. What’s changed now?

Changing the head coach is a totally meaningless thing at this point in time.

We need to double our efforts to remove Venkys from our club.

    Destroy their reputation.

Couldn’t agree more. Parasites - them and Steve Maggott will never be forgiven after the EMBARRASSMENT they’ve caused the club and the fans this week.

    Get them OUT!

What matters tomorrow is points not protests.

At least not whilst we are still in the game and i think we all know the only thing in the near future that will force them out is the Indian courts and/or Indian govt.

Fingers crossed we stay up then sense is seen in summer and they take the correct steps to move us out of their perennial stranglehold.

What matters is keeping the heat & spotlight on the Rao Family & Steve Maggott. They’re parasites.

Pep Guardiola, KDB and Haaland could rock up tomorrow and they’d still struggle with these CLOWNS running the circus

    Hello all,

I’ve started this thread to discuss protest ideas so those in support can start taking positive action against the current state of the club and owners Venky’s & CEO Steve Waggott. Their short sighted and non-sensical business decisions are slowly killing BRFC from the inside out and it cannot be allowed to go on.

As fans we’re the only ones with the best interests of Blackburn Rovers Football Club at heart 💙🤍🌹

    Aims of the Protest Movement

    1. The ultimate aim is for Venky’s to sell the club to new owners who are present, communicate with the fans and have the best interests of the club & fans at heart AND the community it is part of.

    2. The initial aim is to voice the growing frustration of the fan base & for the current CEO Steve Waggott to start communicating with us and to be open & transparent about the ongoing financial issues and resultant inability to recruit the quality & number of players we need to progress as a club.

    3. If there is no response from the club to the initial aims, the protest will enter its next stage, ideas below:

    Ideas

Further ideas would be welcomed on how to take this forward. There were the first rumblings in the Blackburn End v Huddersfield with the “Venky’s Out” chant but we need more co-ordinated action for the owners & CEO to really sit up and listen. They’ve had a far too easy ride up until now.

    Some ideas I’ve had already:

    1. Protest with banners/sign reveal and singing on 18 & 75 minutes during a league game. This could be as simple as downloading the below image onto your phone or iPad & holding it up as well as home made banners, signs and the like for those who want to.

    2. A Reading style pitch invasion and sit down protest during a game. This would be a last resort currently.

    3. Printing of t-shirts and a full on march style protest ending up at the Jack Walker statue before a League home game

Any further and even more innovative ideas would be welcomed….

    Venky’s & Waggott…were comin’ for you!

Returning the original post to the top of the agenda

We need these alleged CRIMINALS Steve Maggott and the Rao Family HOUNDED OUT of our club before it’s too late and the real asset stripping begins.

It’s incredible what’s transpired after this thread was created on the 23rd January but finally glad the wider Rovers fanbase & national media are waking up from their slumber as to what’s actually going on and Venky’s/Maggott to be shown up for what they really are.

This is bigger than the players or any new manager now. We need them gone to safeguard the future of Blackburn Rovers FC! 🥀 🐔

Buckley won't be ready for a while but they'll probably rush him back and he'll get re-injured.

Point is though he'll be better in the Wharton role than Moran !

JDT really is just going to have to change things up though and leave the style that has made a major contribution to an awful season.

Agree. McFazdean & John Fleck could play a big part in this and their experience will be key.

Next 2 games against the teams immediately below us are absolutely crucial!

Good watch this. Shows how the entire playing style/philosophy of the club from Academy to First Team is built around having a 6 & two 8’s in midfield. So for the first team it was built around Adam Wharton.

No wonder JDT is fuming as he’s gone ahead of time and not been replaced so we’re starting from scratch again.

Do think Buckley has the ability to play that role when he’s fit though & Ayari could possibly do it too.

Explains why Travis wasn’t favoured because he hasn’t got the footballing ability to play a 6 and he’s not good enough in forward areas to play an 8.

GB is interviewed and comes across really well, he’s clearly passionate and heavily invested in the youth development model and a Rovers Academy that is a proven success.

Venky’s however are killing the entire model that GB & JDT have worked so hard to put in place because of their financial issues and cutting of the budget. Makes it impossible for us to ever progress with the Rao Family at the helm.

The Cup game will be on national TV but it was a response to the idea to contact Newcastle fans - which I think would be a waste of time for the reasons stated.

There's differing views on how we should go about the protests and this is one forum where they can be expressed. If you don't understand that perhaps you should stick to your WhatsApp group where you might be more useful?

You specifically said the Newcastle “game” though and called the idea of targeting it daft ⬇️

Agree. It's a daft idea to target the Newcastle game.

I started this thread and understand there is a lot of different opinions, my point was, if you’re actually willing to take action then join the WhatsApp group.

The current plan is to target the Newcastle game with a protest during the game. This was the idea behind the original thread prior to the Wrexham game. Unfortunately only 2 of us were willing to do anything at that point. Hopefully following the QPR game and the conclusion of another shambolic transfer window, the tide is beginning to turn.

Most people on this messageboard seem to have big opinions & a lot of things to say but aren’t actually willing to do anything about it.
