    LT analysis on Trav's move:

The Lancashire Telegraph understands that Travis has reluctantly accepted a move away from Ewood Park for the good of his career, considering his lack of game time.

The 26-year-old didn't start any of the matches over the busy festive period and has completed 90 minutes once since November the 10th.

Poor journalism as Travis started the match against Watford on the 23rd December, all be it at left back.

If you're going to go online only, at least have a functioning website. SIX times I got as far as paying for Harrogate tickets but the website timed out before I could pay. Why is it so bad to go in and buy a ticket from a person? Or even phone? Absurd.

Did you try and ring up? A friend of mine tried his luck first thing this morning and got one. There must have been a handful left after the original phase . Poor communication from the club all round really!

When we destroyed Burnley at Ewood with 5-0 (which for our young readers was a far bigger mauling than our own 3-0 debacle on Sunday btw), their fans felt exactly the same way. No passion, no fight, just another game mentality. They didn't just go oh well, that's that then. It hurts and I'm sure it's the same for every other fan going away disappointed from a big derby game.

Agreed and this weekends defeat wasn’t even close to the pasting we dished out that day at Ewood. At least we were still in the game at half time!

Lets hope the players show that passion and fight at Ewood where we’ve been mostly excellent this season.

Really? I'm free to comment on the game if I was there or not. Please retract your comment.

I did say my comment on 1875 members might hurt but I accept your comment that you think its ridiculous. This message board is all about opinions.

Your opinion on noise levels is irrelevant if you weren’t there. No retraction of statement. Comment on the game all you want.

You’ve obviously got a bee in your pipe about not getting a ticket due to 1875 members. I’m an 1875 Member & Blackburn End Season Ticket Holder, this was my first away game of this season and I was singing as loudly as anyone, all be it not drunk or coked up like the usual rabble who go to local away games!

  5. The noise level was great, it was absolutely bouncing before the game and we were by far the more vocal fans up until they scored.

Don’t comment if you weren’t at the game. The fans gave their all and your 1875 member theory is ridiculous. Just a shame the players didn’t turn up! That’s the problem here.

How can we argue when JDTs tactics see us reach Championship heights we've not seen under TM.  Embarrassing for me speaking to a burnley fan today.

"why didn't you turn up?" agree, we didn't.

"never dreamt it was going to be that easy!" well what can I say.

"even Rovers fans failed to make any noise!" really??

Not knocking the 1875 members, and warning this may hurt. Ticket priority was given to this group which no doubt consists of 100% loyal fans of the club. But my guess is as 1875 membership attracts hospitality rewards, the group is not the most vocal. Priority in Away Ticket allocation in all cases should go to fans with most away ticket purchases. Having said that I accept we were vastly outnumbers and I was not there to confirm our "noise level".

In our first attacked yesterday, if the ball had gone left to Diaz then the game might have been different. Good effort by Diaz in the second half when the ball hit their keeper's shoulder resulting in a corner, but that was it. Barnes was playing his last east lancs derby and we allowed him the freedom of the park.

Concern is if we continue not to turn up and with other teams now finding us out, the second half of 2022-23 will be similar to recent seasons.

Nice to see that Dom Hyam has taken yesterday's defeat well enough to piss off to Dubai for some winter sun.

It’s an absolute disgrace this, seen similar posts by Morton, Kaminski and Szmodics today. Clearly some were already on the beach yesterday.

They should have been in work today debriefing on a pathetic performance. Even if not, certainly don’t post on social media.

There should be a public club apology or by JDT. Clearly there is no understanding of how much this meant and how much they’ve let down the fans.

After Tuesday I've seen enough. It's goodbye to 5-3-2 and the cause of our troubles Ayala must stay out of the team

Stick to 4-4-2, strengthen he midfield, get the ball forward quicker and move it quicker and keep it simple

This is the kick, bollock and bite Championship, not the pass-a-ball Champions League

    If fit I'd go

    Kaminski

    Brittain Hyam S Wharton Pickering

    Morton Travis Szmodics  A Wharton

    Gallagher Brereton

Glad you’re not picking the team! “Stick to 442” is what Sunday league managers do as it’s the only formation their tiny minds can process

Some different angles of Adam's goal on Saturday. I didn't appreciate how good the drop of the shoulder and little shimmy were at the time.

The shift to the side  and strike into the opposite corner is straight out of the coaching manual…the keepers weight shifts onto the opposite foot before the shot comes in making it very difficult to save.

The defending is very poor, showing him onto his stronger foot but AW took full advantage. He was also involved in the build up too so it’s a great goal all round 👍🏻

  9. New song for Hull as per Arsenal’s Super Mik Arteta chant…

    ”We’ve got Super JDT

He knows exactly what we need

Hyam at the back, Gally in attack

Rovers on their way to Premier League”

Having watched Arsenal All Or Nothing recently the parallels with Arteta & JDT are similar…both in their early 40’s with distinguished playing careers, with limited experience managing a club after a long period of under achievement and instability. Both with very young teams and implementing a new structure and system with an emphasis on youth development. Like last season at Arsenal we’re very inconsistent currently but over time with the same consistent message and way of playing and further investment in the squad - we could be flying even higher this time next year; unbeaten and several points clear at the top! 🤞

Going for another 2-1 Rovers victory at Hull. They’ve lost 8 games and have the worst goal difference in the league so we should be looking for the W on current form and with a week to prepare.

  10. Excellent win tonight for the boys in blue. We played at a good tempo throughout and looked a level above Bradford. Some tasty challenges flying about in the first half but we stood up to them well. Ratings as follows:

Pears 6/10 Not a lot to do.

JRC 6/10 Solid enough performance but nothing special

Morton 7/10 Great performance filling in at CB, looks like a real leader, excellent passing ability.

Annesley 6/10 a little shaky but did a good job overall and a fantastic goal saving challenge at the end

Edun 4/10 Poor. Gave the ball away a lot and seemed to have a poor attitude overall. Left back is clearly not his position but he really should be doing a lot better against a side of this quality if he wants to have any chance of getting into the first team

Adam Wharton 7/10 This kid has real potential, plays with a casual Grealish-esque style but has a real turn of pace & great skill when required.

Garrett 6/10 nothing remarkable but did a good job in midfield, again a lot of potential

Markanday 8/10 and my MOM, tricky, direct and good finish for his goal. Superb turn to beat 2 defenders in 2nd half & a run that almost resulted in a penalty when about to pull the trigger, was just outside the box though.

Dack 7/10 some decent touches and an excellent finish after a typical run into the box. Getting better but not the player he was pre-injury.

Dolan 6/10 tried hard and a good assist but for me his end product is poor

Vale 7/10 tireless running and pressing all night and a great run and assist for Markandays goal.

Subs: No standouts but as always Diaz looked a cut above the rest

  11. No need to panic, Reading played very well tonight and we weren’t at it at all following Sunday’s game which obviously took a lot out of them.

We are still top of the Championship with the most wins and most points and we’d have all taken that before the season started.

Hopefully reinforcements to the squad will come in soon as tonight highlights how we cannot expect to be at the top of our game at every match playing 3 times in 6 days. Until then, time to regroup and go again Saturday.

Great video behind the scenes…if 2 or 3 of the Academy lads can make the step up and compete for a first team place & we make some decent signings we’ll be laughing 😆 It’s a big IF but we’ll get there!

Really excited about this group of young players & our manager #COYB 🌹

only just bring in more money just of season tickets cost.

But agree on the income from food and drink.

So all these fans can’t afford £400 for a ST but have seemingly deep pockets to buy substandard food & overpriced beer?

What a load of rubbish. I stand by my original comments. It’s a fair price and the club have seen sense by extending the early bird offer. Slightly biased but the product on offer at Ewood is significantly better than Bolton or Preston. No guarantees their early birders will go on every week anyway if they’re not doing well!

Now that Jon Dahl Tomasson has been appointed, is anybody now ready to buy or renew?

    Renewed yesterday.

A lot of moaning and misery on here about pricing but I’m excited for the season ahead now a great management structure is in place at the club. If you want to go and watch Preston, Wigan or Bolton instead of Rovers my advice would be crack on!

    Give over.

A manager worth his salt will be able to find an upgrade on a free transfer.

Lenihan was ok, but he was incredibly clumsy and got caught out often. Coupled with the fact he thought he was Beckenbauer and he's not great loss.

If he's not replaced them we're in trouble, but Van Hecke and Wharton were leagues above him last year. We're not losing a star.

Absolute rubbish he was excellent last season and one of the best defenders in the Championship; making it into the Team of the Season.

He’s replaceable but we will miss his leadership and Championship experience. One of the reasons Van Hecke & Wharton were so good last season is due to the influence of Lenihan alongside them, often doing the dirty work of winning headers and ugly defending, as well as being good on the ball in more advanced positions.

From absolutely terrible to bang average? Aye, I'm sure he'd be on every Championship managers team sheet.

He has been mismanaged but can you honestly say if you were the boss you'd pin your hopes on him consistently scoring over a season, as a number 9?

No chance but he won’t be moved on. He’s got 9 goals this season despite spending most of it on the wing or the bench.

I wouldn't be surprised if Gallagher gets moved on if TM leaves. He's only persisted with him because of what he paid for him. A new manager won't have the problem.

Did someone say FFP isn't a problem next season?

Rubbish, he’s only just signed a new contract and given his recent step up in form i’m convinced Gallagher is a half decent footballer when played consistently as a centre forward. He’s been badly mis managed under Mowbray.
