I save this post and go back every so often to see what I need. You're actually sorta missing two, that I now have. 1991-92 actually has 3 versions. It has Part 1, Part 2, and then The Rovers Return for the whole season. I've recently picked up Parts 1 and 2, so I look forward to seeing the differences.

00/01 had a half season review, then a full season review at the end of the season. (Which is probably the worst one they ever released to be honest).

I didn't realize until today I had 00/01 and never watched it. You are right that it's the worst. There's no narration, it's just sometimes got text over the bottom of the screen. Really poor effort.
So it appears all I'm missing are the two Holy Grails, 89/90 and 90/91, then the two half season 98/99 and 00/01.
Oh god, this is so much fun but so frustrating, because no one saved them to sell to me on eBay 30 years later.

Thank you. I didn’t even have any idea it was shareholders. I would have guessed it was just single owners.

Just curious if anyone could fill me in who owned the club before Jack Walker? Not even just who he bought it from, any owners before his purchase. I'm just curious, and can't find anything online. All the results I search only come up talking about Jack Walker and Venky's. Even Uncle Jack was long before my time, so I have no idea who came before him, much less earlier.

Is this run completely sold out? Any extras to sell?
Unlike in life, size doesn’t matter. My friend just wants to get one with the goal of getting it signed by one of the players from that time. No, he will never track that player down, but it would be nice if I could get him one for that purpose.

No…this is me playing with a heat press borrowed from @Roth & becoming quite pally with some eBay sellers 😁.
If anyone wants to order a number I’ll share details of where I bought mine from 👍🏻
And on HistoricalFootballKits.co.uk you are listed as one of the sources on the Blackburn page, so I’m pretty confident you used the correct font and number.

Thank you! I did not realize I could have found it searching “Asia trophy”. Searching Venky’s and India was just too broad.

I have a bootleg one from DH Gate, interestingly it matches your original. The red lettering is indented, and there's no asics on the buttons. So if your new one is a bootleg, it's not from there, or at least not that seller.

According to Wikipedia, the most reliable source of information, the 2011 pre-season tour of India had Venky's as the kit sponsor. It was then The Prince's Trust for the actual season.
Does anyone know where I can find a picture of the Venky's sponsor kit? Or is there footage from it? I'm just curious what it looked like, and can't find it on Google.

I'm not sure whether this would interest anyone, but I figured I'd scan it in case it does. Here's the program from the Final.

Yeah, I realize I spelled it FAC instead of FA Cup. Don't care to fix it ha

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. The websites 11v11 and EnglishFootballLeagueTables did not have the information I'm looking for.
I'm wanting to research our historical form in February. I can find the league tables for every year besides 1999-2000. What I'm specifically looking for is our position in the table on January 31, 2000 then again on March 1, 2000.
Would anyone know where I could look to find these two stats? Maybe someone has the 1999-00 season review, a bunch of those reviews had that information in them.

Rovers traditionally wore variants of red & white in the 60’s - with a few exceptions - I’ve seen photos of a black & white striped kit in the FA Cup. All red in my living memory, sometimes with white cuffs…sometimes without.
Do you know when 3rd kits would have been introduced?
-
Back in the 60s, did they have home and away shirts? Was this just the home shirt, or was this the style they wore every match?
-
According to Mike Jackman’s book, Douglas wore 8 on 9/5/54.
Then the next season he wore 7, 8, 10, and 11.
Then 3 complete seasons at 7.1960-64 was a combo of 7, 8, 10, and 11.
1964-66 was almost exclusively 10- 2

I noticed that several fans who bought them wore them on Saturday. I wore mine for the first time albeit under a jumper so being superstitious it has been washed, will be ironed and ready for Wednesday. If we beat Forest rinse and repeat for Boxing Day. Hopefully it will be worn out by the time the next batch are available 😂😂.
Interesting. Wash and iron? Nope, we won, so mine has to be worn again without being washed haha

Mine arrived in New York this week. Wearing it today for luck. Much higher quality than I expected.

Players didn’t have their own number back then like they do today, or their name on the shirt either. If you were chosen to play right back you wore No 2, if you were the left back you wore No 3. Laurie played left back at Rovers so you need a red No 3. Only 1 substitute also.
I saw Laurie play lots of times when he was starting out at Rochdale after he left Wolves juniors. We used to chat with him and his wife in the Town Centre when they’d finished training. That was when I was at school.
Oh interesting. I didn’t know that numbers were actually based on their position. I saw in The Complete Record that he was mostly 3, and and also 10 and then 12, which I assume was the sub.
I watched the 1968 game that’s on YouTube this weekend, obviously in black and white, I never even knew they didn’t have names on their back until that.

Does anyone know where I can find a color photo of a player with a number on the back? I'm an American and my local team (Rochester Rhinos) previously had Laurie Calloway as a coach. He played for Blackburn and wore this shirt, and I would love to put his number on my shirt when it arrives.

So I was wondering if people could help me out with something I'm writing. I'm curious how you celebrate your love for Rovers at home. Do you have an entire room decorated in Rovers gear? Do you just have a scarf hanging in the closet? Personally, I have a few scarves in my office hanging above my tapes. I'd like you to tell me a little something about how you've decorated, or what is Rovers that's important to you at home. Maybe share a picture of your collection. Also, if you have a lot of things, what's the one special piece that means the most to you?

I can't get sense out of Rovers main site but can anyone tell me if Rovers TV does replays and how long after the game before the replay is available, especially in Australia.
I don’t know the timeframe of when they are posted. There is usually full replays for every game they aired, but not the ones on Sky. There are replays available for Accrington and Celtic (and if you scroll back last season too)

You may miss the play off final then if we reach it? isnt it a 10 month offer?
On RoversTV? That’ll be carried nationally, so it wouldn’t be on there anyways.

@jwlrovers Just checked the site, early bird offer £140 for 2022/23.
Thank you so much! That saved me $74 on what I paid in August last year!
-
Maybe. But at least I could watch the full friendly and haven’t had to pay yet.

As a goodwill gesture you can digitise everything and send @Herbie6590a copy for our YouTube!
Way ahead of you. I recently received 8 tapes in the mail and haven't gotten to them yet, but this should be the rest of my collection, including the audio tape. Shearer on Shearer is all messed up (listenable, but annoying to watch), and one of the old season reviews the video cuts in and out for about 8 minutes (but the audio is fine during it), but everything else is there and watchable. Having to convert PAL to NTSC I'll lose a few seconds per video, but all the others should pretty much be fine.

Rovervision Video Magazine?
in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Posted
So, I collect Rovers VHS tapes. The only Rovervision Video Magazine I’ve ever seen was number 2. Does anyone know how many of this series were made? Or if not exact, a later number you know exists so I can narrow down possibly how many there are
I’ve nearly completed a collection of season reviews, wondering how many of these I need to keep my eye out for.
