Hope hes worked on his short passing too.

Ok player, decent tackler, but he thinks hes better than he is and when he makes a mistake its never his fault.

Lenihan is your squad player your Nicky Marker that can slot in in several positions were needed. Because the squad quality is poor he can command a regular spot.

DL has agreed and signed for the next 4 years

Let's hope Darragh has been working hard on his thirty, forty yard forward passing because it was abysmal last season waiting for Darragh to play you through whilst he over hit the the ball time and again.

    Good luck Darragh.

I think someone said maintenance/repairs have been "cost cutting" areas for years even prior to Venkys buying the club.

I wonder if they want to wait and see what happens with the "safe standing" movement before making any changes? That would make some logical sense before "modernising" the stand and installing padded seats or something. As for lack of rain cover is it really worth doing some of roof extension just so some people won't get a little wet? It would be cheaper to hand out those plastic covers or perhaps just advise people to wear a rainjacket if the weather's expected to be a little wet. I thought people say it's Southern people who are soft yet they bring up issues like this. I don't particularly like it when there's heavy wind AND rain blowing right in my face but a bigger roof wouldn't really do much to help with the former. I think the Riverside is fine in the centre certainly from a view standpoint.

As I said in terms of modernising how much can you do really with the stand as it is? Padded seats, etc that's not the case around the vast majority of the stadium anyway. I still don't think a roof extension would be worth it. Some people of course advocate demolishing the whole stand if not quite demanding a "modern" replacement on the scale Jack planned (and the WFIT outright ignored as Williams actually admitted) and how much that cost? I think they would close the stand (as with the DE) before undergoing any substantial costs. Of course we really need to know what Waggott's vision of a modernised Riverside actually is. I'm not saying he's lying just he hasn't seemed to explain any specific ideas for it. There's easily enough rental office space in the other stands (and I don't even know if that's at full capacity) and the main club administrative areas.

I don't really see how a 30 year old stand is outdated. Look how long the old Nuttall Street Stand and Riverside lasted. The Riverside in particular obviously was in a real state by the end (hence it's replacement) and safety issues based on what happened at Valley Parade too. Still it's not like they were falling down for most of the structures history.

The foundations weren't in the best of states 7 years ago.

So, would like to know from supporters consultations what is the current state of the riverside stand foundations and how much have Venky and their British co horts spent on improving these Riverside foundations over the past seven years. ?

What FIFA are trying to do Tom is turn the decision making process in football into an exact science but that can never, ever happen. The vast majority of VAR referrals and ultimately decisions are still based on opinion not fact. I disagree with the Portugal penalty but you think it was one. Who is correct? The game has been around for well over 100 years and has managed by giving autonomy to the referee and his assistants to make decisions. It is farcical in my opinion. (but my opinion isn't fact) ?.

The referee leaving the field of play to watch a TV screen seems so antiquated and old hat technology, when he can have a drop down lense positioned at focal length to see the same footage without having to leave the field of play.

That is the process now. The VAR constantly review incidents involving every goal, sending off, penalties and mistaken identity. If the VAR feels there has been a clear and obvious error in any of these then the on field referee is advised to look at the pitch side screen. As I have said before once an incident is sent for review only an extremely brave referee will go against the advice of the VAR.

How did Ronaldo get away with a yellow and not a red for his forearm smash on the Iranian defender after several reviews. Then the penalty incident, deliberate handball my derrier.

I was irritated by his  'get real' interview whIch I saw as support for Kean. As a local lad he should have known more than any other player how we all felt about Kean and the way the club was being wantonly pillaged by Kean and his associates.

I hear him no malice but I don't feel any sorrow about him leaving.

It's like anything in life you dont bite off the hand that feeds you, if your hoping to stop around remaining in employment for a while.

He used them they used him who won and who lost ?

    You didn't answer.

So who is the 6 million striker with sell on value that we should sign? You made it sound very simple.

Ok, should add over to the football intelligence at our club but a £5 - 6m investment should turn into a £10- 15m asset 2 years on.

    Can we do this ?

So are you saying that if we don't kick up a fuss, man the barricades, protest at every match, we're not true Rovers fans. If people want to watch Rovers, that's their prerogative. I tried protesting and if there was a decent protest movement with a clear agreed focus I still would, but that ship has sailed. So what else is there to do but watch matches if you want to, support the decent manager we now have and the decent players he's brought in. They are not superstars and are probably not what we need in most cases if we want to move up the leagues, but they work hard and give their best, something that can't be said of many players recently. I don't accept that our rightful place is lower championship. It's mid table premiership in my book with the odd decent cup runs, but for now we are where we are and nothing we can do can change that. It's not resignation. It's just deciding to shelve grievances for a while. They're still there. Next time Venkys mess up, they'll come to the fore again, but there is no way our grievances impact on them.

Are you telling me that one can't question everything but just accept ?

It’s part of the game, so much of the talent is dragged upwards towards u23 teams, look at the horde some prem clubs loan out.

To ignore it is barmy. Watford practically loaned their way out of the league.

    Good day sir.

All your doing is accepting im simply not .It's not rambling it's that you've become an accepting monkey to these practices and thus willingly buy the ticket.

    We differ.

Yet outperforming clubs like Burnley is your height of ambition? I have big questions over Venkys' ambitions (and certainly trust worthiness) enough as it is but don't contradict yourself.

Question it all you want but did you say same thing in the EPL when the club had to take people like Simpson on loan? How the hell he has a title medal is beyond comprehension. In the Championship I can see some logic in loan signings compared to being in the EPL.

If by "associates" you mean Anderson aren't you (and the few others who still claim he's involved at least when it suits them) tired of spinning that old yarn?

After 30 years under Blackurnian control we always bettered Burnley and that's what we dont have currently under these shysters were lagging behind.

No true Rovers fan should be accepting this.

You're making it sound like it's something only Venkys have introduced.

Then Is it not fair to ask better of them then.

You invest to speculate is it that their associates at the club aren't that good thus we see Burnley outperforming us season after season which isn't acceptable in my book.

Anyone deny kane is absolute world class now? 17 goals in 26 games

Fantastic achievement you cant deny it, but what a strange game it is, when Stirling cant hit the net, yet its he, that has the winner's trophies to date.

Would it not make more sense for TM to decide after the Austria trip?

Personally i'd much rather we waited until he's assessed the young lads from the academy before he splashes any cash.

Otherwise whats the point? even DJ has said some are ready. I keep reading about young lads from this team or that team but what about our

Granted they've hardly/not any experience but at least  they should be given a chance

We could have some hidden gems there and not realise it

And before any moaners start whinging, i honestly believe with the squad we have now we will finish mid table

    Have faith boys have faith!

What's mid table though were do we go the season after that ?
