As long as as we stay up then happy days. That has to be the main aim. Anything more is a bonus, you never know in football but as a start survival has too be our main aim.

    Then what ?

On our way back has to mean the premiership where Venkys picked us up from.

Re Conway, as long as we sign some better, quicker and younger players in the same position, it's not the worst signing in the world, but as others have observed, at home, he shouldn't be starting.

He did alright enough in a few appearances towards the end of the season, but we can't let sentiment cloud our judgement. He's been a good servant to the club, but his legs looked like they had gone last season for the most part IMO.

Maybe there was nobody else we could afford or would want to play for us.

Reading anther ex scouser S. Warnock talk about how Rovers shouldnt change too much .......desperate desperate support for a skint club.

Lenihan was clearly looking to move prior to him picking up his long term foot injury. If There's any hint of interest from another Club he perceives to be a better long term bet, he simply may not want to sign another deal here. It might not be due to any lack of effort on the Club's part.

Maybe the club might want to sell Dack or Lenihan and earn some more coin from our club.

Why would you want to get rid of Nyambe over Paul Caddis?
We should be looking to move on Sam Hart, Ben Gladwin and possibly even Dominic Samuel (replacement considering) before we look to move on anyone else.

Nuttall has talent and would hate him to go out other than loan.
Nyambe might get a lot of stick, but he came forward in leaps and bounds last season.

Side note. There has been talk of Frank Fielding coming back to Rovers this summer, and I can understand Rovers wanting to bring in competition for Raya. But surely someone like Dean Henderson would be a better shout.
Fielding has been largely hit and miss since he left Rovers. His goalkicks only rivaled in woefulness by Jason Steele.
Henderson was outstanding last season for Shrewsbury Town, and was one of the key features to their better than expected league table finish.

He has refused a new contract with Manchester United, and Bristol City are sniffing around him. Mowbray would develop him as a player far better than Lee Johnson. Bringing him onboard could give Rovers two of the most exciting up and coming goalkeeping talents in the Football League Championship.

Fielding's signing as far as I am concerned doesn't improve upon Leutwiler.

What the he'll are you on about are you really a Rover ?

I think I have cracked this case John. Nyambe, Nuttall and Gallagher all have the same agent namely Simon Conning. Now you have made your thoughts clear about Simon (a Liverpudlian by chance) many times. So I think that purely by association you dislike any of his clients and will do with any of his clients who might sign in future.

Chaddy likes your post Tony wonder why.

But you rated him last time?

Understand he hasn’t had the best season and I wouldn’t have him as my main man but a worthwhile squad man at the right money

Time moves on Tom he had his chance to improve with Birmingham , didn't do it there. So no chance having him Back, plus we should stay well clear of his agent and the agents associates for us to have any chance of succeeding.

    Nyambe and Nuttall out !

Satisfy my curiosity JAL - is your opinion on Gallagher based on his performances at Birmingham or at Rovers?

I still think he’d be a decent option here

He's a plodder based on last time around assessing his Brum stats and his agent has screwed us before.

    Hope that helps .

    We are the Rovers !

Howard Gayle and David Thompson, discarded by Liverpool, were excellent players for Rovers.

John Bailey was a Liverpudlian too, and Mike Newell.  All brilliant for us.

In the days of when the club was run by local people and we could cherry pick the best of the rest from Merseyside unlike under the Venky regime where miliions must have gone out of the club to some very poor quality scousers.

My desire to rehabilitate scousers at this club crashed and burned after Bradley Orr!

The Scouse influence is still very strong at Rovers. Sam Gallagher is one of the Scouse contacts along with Nyambe and Nuttall to name just a few who brought the likes of Bradley Orr to our club.

Could we afford any better though JAL? I don't personally think Gallagher is a bad player at this level. I certainly wouldn't object to him coming back.

This where I'm expecting Venkys to show their financial commitment and not on ploders like Sam Gallagher.

His heading wasnt good when he was here. Thats why I asked has he improved since being at Birmingham..

But he did well here. Still remember his goal against Wolves. What a strike

    A one off ?

Did he keep us up ?

Sign him and it's a distinct lack of ambition.

Competitive is language used for wet arses that tread water and that's all.

Really impress by Rashford, Rose and Delph.

Rose has good forward all game. Best England left back in country by miles.

Rashford looks threating at every opportunity. So skilful

Delph has played well by getting forward. Positional good

Where's Everton's pick the ball out of the net goalie .
