It’s a surreal statement to make if he doesn’t, so I’ll go with yes.
I know his family and they are really nice down to earth people. He made a serious mistake with the car crash, but children do make them. To paint his family with that statement is one step too far.

Lawrence and his family are not something I'd want around Rovers again. That's all I'll say.
Do you know his family?

Sorry I must be asleep...
Bought for 7m...probably get 15m for him...leave 8m...1.6m to forest and 6.4m left....am I wrong?
My understanding IF there is a sell-on. We paid £6 to £7m and from memory at the time it had to be in up front for the deal to go through. So in terms of this close season the cash flow would be £15m in, £15m less outlay (call it £7m) leaving £8m profit. Forest would be due 20% of £8m= £1.6m. The balance of the monies would therefore be £13.4m in Rovers bank account.
Note - I’m not saying it will stay with us, plus don’t forget agents fees. Money grabbing shysters.

Carlos Carvalhals transfers are generally pretty lame! https://www.transfermarkt.com/carlos-carvalhal/spielertransfers/trainer/1588
Spent a fortune on Rhodes and only managed to get a few goals out of him
Look at Rhodes transfers and compare them to Steve Agnew, there’s a correlation. Maybe Carlos had no say in the transfer.

I don't get the Ainsworth thing to be honest. If he wasn't a Rovers supporter I doubt he'd register.
Why? Edwards in a lower league has just been appointed manager of Watford. He may only be there for the first couple of games but they’ve taken a punt on him. I’d give Ainsworth a chance. He’s certainly no f’in Coyle.

Agree to disagree - he's not going to get another PL job.
His card is marked with regards to style of play. He'll have to take another Championship club up again if he wants to manage at the elite level
So that rules us out of the equation!!!

It’s a message board, every post is someone’s opinion. It’s a given and doesn’t need to be clarified. This definitely isn’t something that should be triggering people.
When someone is clear that an action has taken place it’s more than an opinion. Basically what you’re saying is take every message as someone’s fantasy as what is really happening.

It's my opinion. If I had some 'inside information' I would have said that in my post
For me, We don't need any right back signing if Nyambe re-signs. Plus we got James Brown has his back up and challenge for the right back spot.
The LT this morning is reported that Nyambe's agent has re enter talks
Well why didn’t you include “it’s my opinion” in your post. Your statement read as fact! My opinion is that he’s about to enter talks with Barcelona.

Nyambe's agent has re enter talks cos his move to another club has collapse now so thats the reason for new talks now.
Is that more “inside information” or just you speculating?

Academy is being downgraded to cat2, thoughts people?
Looks like you’re posting this on other topics. Come on say where you’ve got the information from. Or should we just ignore you. Funny it’s on the same day as other graduate signs his first contract.

It may have been discussed, however how do people think about the academy being downgraded to Cat2? I thought that was venkys baby and they would always fund it? And to be fair the academy has been one of their very few successes
Where has this rumour come from. There’s nothing in the press or internet. Is it someone stirring the shit again.

Where has this come from? I’ve not seen that reported.

I’ve watched it several times, and my conclusion is that David like all modern goalkeepers don’t stay on their line. They push out and like to play as a keeper/sweeper. I would say that the defender was more to blame. His header should have been to touch, for either a throw-in or corner.
-
There’s a lot of talk about how many points he cost us. No one seems to remember the great saves that earned us points. All goalkeepers errors are highlighted. How many miss controlled passes, miss hit shots, headers does an outfield player make in the course of a match. He did have a difficult time, he was young, and what did our manager do? Dropped him and hung him out to dry. If your boss did that would you stick or twist? I know what I did in my working life - on to another challenge!!!

Looking at that Spain squad. Its a farcry from xavi iniesta villa torres casillas pique silva puyol
Is this another example of downgrading David’s abilities? It seems no matter what the lad does there’s always going to be those that will never admit how good he is. By the way he’s pushed out the Manure keeper from the Spain squad.

We have covid in the house so it’s the first match we’ve missed. Don’t know which is worse the covid symptoms or the bag a shite I’m watching on Sky.

They won’t do that. I did make strong enquiries. All new parents want the young uns to have the best start in life and most east Lancs parents have to saddle them with a born in Burnley stigma.
My daughter lives in Feniscowles and when she was pregnant we made sure our grandchild was born in Preston. I would never forgive her if the little’un had Bumley on her birth certificate. We are waiting on a second one in a couple of months and it will be Preston again, whatever the sex both will be Rovers through and through. Hopefully both will play for us.

Didn't Carr end up being a good bit of business by the Rovers. Wasn't it mentioned that Carrs father (also his agent), didn't see eye to eye with Uncle Jack.
As has been clarified this was before Jack took over. I don’t know how you could say it was a good bit of business. Yes we got money for him, but yet again not his true worth if he’d played for the first team and was putting in the performances he did when he moved to Forest. Sell you, sell cheap, at least with Jones as a first team regular we got nearer his market value.

You missed M50, joining M4 at Newport, apart from that you're spot on!.....J*B buy a bloody map book!
Footnote, me missed the first 20 minutes. When we arrived at the ground, 2 well known Rovers away followers were walking in the opposite direction. We asked where they were going?........."The bastards won't let us in because we've no Covid jab records with us"! Thankfully we all had.
Oh for a 'fox in the box' yesterday.......he'd have had a bagful!
Hi, I didn’t miss the M50, there are two alternative routes M6, M5, M4 (via the Prince of Wales bridge), or M6, M5, M50, A449/A49, M4. This second route on the A449/A49 goes through Monmouth and I’ve been held up countless time, plus the mobile speed cameras are frequently parked up in the numerous lay-bys. To avoid the M4 from Newport you can swing off on the A40 TO Raglan and go on the “heads of the valleys’ road and drop back down into Neath and then Swansea. 15 years of making this journey every week! For me personally COVID has saved a lot of stress, and now I’ve 8 months to retirement I’m going to do it WFH👍🤣

Yeah, when we had Mike England at least we got a good few seasons out of him. The Jones came along and we got a good few games out of him.
Now players are gone and we don’t even get a first team game out of them.
Franz Carr was the same years ago when Forest came calling. Nothing new, we find a diamond and the sharks start circling. I hope someone has told the Venkeys about him, so they can tell city clubs to fuck off.

Lived in Swansea for 8 years. Mid-Wales past Chester, Newtown, Neath valley for a lovely drive and a relaxed dinner somewhere. M50 then M4 to get there quickly (still nice after Monmouth mind).
The problem with the M50 is the A49/A449 at the end of it. Ouse to go that way and was either behind farm vehicles or the hedges were being cut. You then put your foot down and the bloody speed jockeys are waiting for you. When the tolls were taken off the bridge I stopped going down the M50.

Where have you set off from? If you’re on the M4 from Blackburn you’ve gone very wrong!
You’re wrong M4 runs from east to west in South Wales. M6, M5, M4 is the quickest route from Blackburn except when there’s an accident.

Why would you want that lying son of a bitch fostered on another set of supporters. Let the son of a bitch rot, I hope he gets popped from his current job, looses all his savings and has to clean the bogs in some dogging car park. He should not be involved in football.
