  1. Disregard all the others I’d like to know your view on Whitehall. It doesn’t matter the ability of the other boys from his intake. What matters is how good the golden boy is. The boy has had bad luck with injuries, I want to see if he still the real deal.
  2. From the limited time he got today he still looks the real deal. He needs regular game time to the end of the season and hopefully he can get a one year deal to see if he injury nightmare is over. He would certainly give the first team some different options. Keep going Issac.
  3. Summer was a glass of sasparella from Walsh’s stall and chatting to Peter and his mum. Going even further back when it was an open air market my mum used to buy me a hot Vimto when the weather was bad. There’s still nothing better on a cold wet day than a hot vimto.
  4. If the youngsters are going to move up through the u18’s u21’s and get to the first team squad they have to learn from the toughest games. What’s better for their development? Beating teams 5 or 6 nil, or taking a beating? The players that get disheartened are maybe not the ones who’ll make it to the first team. I’m sure the youth coaches are working with the youngsters to improve them. Bear in mind that as you say they will be younger than the opposition so the key is to keep them motivated, and I’m sure improvements will come as the season progresses.
  5. I remember going to Ewood in the 60’s with my dad and mum. The old man being brought up on teams from the 50’s thought he was not Rovers quality. He could block balls through and kick the opposing forwards. But he was never going to get the Rovers back into the top division. Sorry John to hear your passing but not a Rovers great.
  6. I don’t mind him being one footed. All I want is for him to fucking shoot when he has the opportunity. He doesn’t have the balls to take responsibility.
  7. I watch u21’s at home when they don’t clash with the first team. In my opinion he’s a long way off being ready for a senior debut. He’s too slow and his distribution is not good enough.
  8. If she’s taking you shopping on Saturday, surely she should go with you to Stockport tonight. Quid pro quo! If not tell her to catch the train to Reebok.👍
  9. Cadbury chocolate shit since the yanks took it over. I’d sooner have Aldi or Lidle chocolate. Has anyone had Hersey crap. I wouldn’t feed it to a six fingered cousin
  10. He’s not that tall, but he’s thick set. Seen him when he’s played for the u21’s and he’s very strong. He really needs regular game time, perhaps a loan until January and then review his progress.
  11. Yes it is, they are making direct comparisons between women’s football and men’s. Men are good, women are bad. if we don’t support them interest will fall off and we can go back to clubs only catering for “real football” played by men. Comparisons between the two games only breeds ridicule. Do these posters compare men and women in other sports, tennis, swimming, athletics? Women’s football is about 22 women competing and the excitement and drama is still there.
  12. The posters should read through the misogynistic comments they’ve wrote. I have two young granddaughters that I will encourage to take up sport. Just because some sports have been the preserve of men doesn’t mean that watching and encouraging women to play them isn’t enjoyable. Women aren’t as fast as men so athletics/tennis should be just male. They can’t swim as fast so why should they learn to swim? There are some really pathetic comments on this thread.
