Must admit I thought at the time we’d got as much as we’d reasonably expect given his obvious potential but limited chance to show it.

That looks more than a bit silly now but I think it would have always taken a further move before the big big money came in, his value just wouldn’t be able to skyrocket like that unless he’d have played in the premier league:

Just wish that had been with us!

It was the middle of the season, any offers that didn't begin with a 4 should have been told to fuck off.

    No.

Even GB confirmed that while conspiracy theories abound it was an error within the club.

McGuires agent was advised before the player boarded the plane that we were not buying him outright; he was a rookie footballer 6 months out of college.  It was not a last minute change of mind.

Not entirely sure what you're on about here. Nobody has mentioned anything about a plane.

Nobody really knows what happened other than Sylvester, shadow man and maggot. None of them are trustworthy and should under no circumstances be believed.

When the same thing happens three times in the space of a year it is not a mistake. Why anyone would take anything said by the people involved in this at face value is beyond me.

Funny how we completed cheap transfers after the McGuire deal was left in the save bin. I would be surprised if you could go back into the portal without it being obvious there was an unfinished transaction in there.

If you want to believe the word of people with a track record of being proven liars when they're in full arse covering mode then fair enough. None of the people who occupy positions of power at Blackburn Rovers are trustworthy.

These deals had all the hallmarks of the owners either not giving the sign off or pulling the pin at the last minute. They've got previous form for doing exactly that.

Enjoy your tea and biscuits next time you go in to listen to more bullshit from the fake CEO.

It is certainly true that if they do invest any money outside India they need to pay the equivalent to BOI as security.  However, I think they still need to get the permission of the court to do it. They definitely needed the permission last November and I don't think anything has changed - hence the need for more court hearings

But as you say, even if they can, they won't.

You cannot make foreign transfers of funds from India without the approval of the Enforcement Directorate.

The ED are greatly opposed to allow venkys to do this so it ended up going to court. The ruling of the court was that they had to place an equivalent bond with the ED.

Every time they want to send funds they need approval which is rejected so rinse repeat.

I'm hoping that the outcome of the August court hearings will see them banned from sending any more money over. Once that happens the club will default on it's numerous financial commitments and end up in administration thus ridding us of this cancer once and for all.

I have said before on here, Waggott told me to make face, back in November that the February court hearing was a mere formality. He based that on the previous one, when around £12m was released. He also stated that there were enough funds in to he bank to pay all of the bills until February.

Given the apparent panic sale of Adam Wharton, I have a feeling he became less certain as the date approached. I also have a feeling that he is now unsure about how the August 20th hearing will go. There is bound to be some reason other than busy courts for this to keep on being adjourned. My guess is that a very thorough investigation is being carried out and if this is the case, it will be of no great surprise if the funding has to end permanently.

Oh how I hope that will happen.

JDT was ultimately a rookie manager and needed to be judged as such. The two flaws being brought up - a lack of Plan B and struggling with man management - are classic problems faced by inexperienced managers. The fact he was able to get us as far as he did in that first season is testament to the strengths of his footballing philosophy when it's working. The fact he was unable to arrest our decline both in the second half of his first season and the final couple of months of his final season is testament to the fact he's still a young manager with plenty to learn.

I'm sure his experience here will stand him in good stead going forward, and if he can improve on his weaknesses then he's already shown here that his philosophy has the potential for a huge upside if all the pieces are in place and he's properly backed by the club's owners.

That's the thing as well. We only needed to sign about three decent players and we'd have been up there in the mix.

Instead the owners and their lackeys decimated the squad and made his position untenable whilst forcing him to stay.

Nobody will ever succeed with venkys around. Even if you look like you might they will do everything they can to undermine you.

We could have got a little more for him but until tested at premier league level there is a ceiling and nobody is being stupid suggesting that.

Apart from Bellingham who had a way bigger reputation than Wharton what other teenager has been sold for more money?

The fact Is most of us on here knew he was an incredible talent but he hadnt even been called up to an England under 21 squad whilst with us ...it took a move to the premier league for him to even get that

Bollocks. We could and should have got at least twice that much.

He was sold to the first bidder as quickly as possible.

Funnily enough that transfer wasn't bungled by the club secretary.

He wasn't physically ready when he was first with us - had some raw attributes, but just wasn't ready.

However, he looks to have bulked up a bit and has scored a few goals for Ipswich this season.

I mean, he'd score more than Gally.

I'm absolutely dog shit and I probably have more of a striker instinct than Gallagher.

He's not as bad as a lot of people make him out to be but he's not got the instinct to b a number 9. He's never where he should be.

If he was more of a bully and actually used his massive stature then he'd actually be alright but he's just not enough of a nasty bastard.

Agreed. At least if Broughton had known at the beginning of the window what budget he had we might have seen better than Telalovic.

We had 3 players in the door in Siggy,Tronstad and Ennis and had been in talks with Batth.

If the budget had been as low from day one maybe those 3 don't happen and we target different players and don't spend half the summer chasing  unaffordable targets

Broughton was as fucked around as anyone at the club .It's also ridiculous imo he gets grief for McGuire not happening,it is not his job to send off the paperwork nor should he have to stand over the person whose job it is.(Or it was Venkys pulling the plug)

I think we all know this is what actually happened.

    Three times in a year.

There are some really interesting numbers in this table which is essentially about away followings. When you consider that Millwall, Cardiff and Bristol City were night matches and Norwich was a 12.30 kick off our away support is better than it ought to be.

It's just more proof that the "our fans are shit" line that gets parroted by lemmings is just total bollocks.

Our home support is shit because the owners and their stooges have done everything they can to drive them away.

Every club above us in that table are from areas where they have a massive catchment with very little in the way of competition.

That's not the kind of money i was referring to and well you know it you fraud.

Isn't it coincidental that there's reports of carnage behind the scenes at the club for the 6926459174652474907625816th time and a poster appears on the forum parroting the party line and arguing with anyone who disagrees.

Almost like the club is using disinformation as a tool of psychological warfare against the fanbase....

    Just an observation.

We replaced Mowbray with a manager who got exactly the same number of points in his first season - 69 - as Mowbray got in his last and then threw a tantrum the next season to the detriment of the club.

Jesus Christ I've read some bullshit in my time but this really takes the cake.

Mowbray finished 8th. JDT finished 7th.

As always you miss the point by a rather large number.
