I have addressed your points though. We know what the problem is with us not investing the players sales but the main point is given Eustace a good championship squad which he can improve and move us forward. It doesn't require loads and loads of Millions tho

I have heard interest in defenders and midfielders, but no strikers mentioned yet. We almost took the drop because of a weak strikeforce ( Szchmodics not included) last season.

Such people exist in minuscule numbers.

We lost not far off 10k fans between 2010 and 2012, most have long gone.

Some Rovers fans are'nt the loyalast in the country. A loyal supporter sticks with the club through thick and thin, not just turn up when they win the premier league or the league cup.

It’s not about the start it’s the finish. Going off what I’ve read on here the dingles, nob end and noblot are looking at shifting 15k ish or have already done so. That's in the same or lower divisions, similar demographics, some larger and smaller populations, etc. Frankly less than any of those is a bad place to be in let alone halving their nos.

I find it very strange the club are bragging about selling 2k season tickets when we were one of the last professional clubs to put them on sale and the die hards will have been chomping at the bit.

When it comes to any rovers “announcement” I always try and think what is swags agenda. All I can think is he knows the grand total will be pathetic and is trying to create a false narrative that they’re flying off the shelves and you’d better get one. Or as I suspect he’s got a meeting with his overlords and he’ll say look at what I’ve done 2k season ticket sales in one weekend.

Things probably depend on summer signings, the supporters wont want a repeat of last season.

    Proper supporter.

The players need a decent crowd to get behind them, but you are right more signings needed over the summer, especially in attack. We also have a few under 21 players knocking on the first team door. I would give the youngters the chance to shine in cup games. I think Blackburn Rovers main priority is trying for a top 6 finish.

Funny how when its a figure the Club wants people to hear about - 1200 in the first day and 2000 after the first weekend - they are quite happy to broadcast it to all and sundry,

Yet usually what we get is all sorts of mixed messages, confusion and silence about sales totals.

I'd suggest this is because they can't wait to try and take advantage of numbers that they think reflect positively on them, whereas the usual way of things is they are silent on such things because the figures are nothing at all to be proud of. This is likely to be the case come window closing day so I expect to see these sales updates shudder to a halt once the initial surge has passed.

We will once again end up well under 10,000 sales yet enough for slippery Steve to massage some positives out of, yet miles behind rival clubs of the same / lower leagues.

They are cheaper at the moment for a limited time, got mine it works out a lot cheaper than paying at the gate.

exactly. I can make every home league game. I think more than easily affordable the cost accepting others can't afford it or can make every game down to their circumstances or

I got my season ticket today , cheaper at the moment. I said to a friend  nearing the end of last season, whatever happens I will still be watching rovers next season.

  7. There's a few youngsters knocking on the door of the senior squad Gilsnen, Gent, Edmondson. John Eustace stated in the LT the youngsters will get the chance to prove themselves in the up and coming friendlies. I remember Gilsnen coming on as sub against Cambridge in the league cup early in the season and scoring. Could save the club money, but we still need proven goalscorers alongside Sam Szchmodics, it was nearly our downfall last season lack of goals.

Selling those two will keep the Venky ####show on the road a while longer without their input.

It will keep the Venky show on the road, till Rovers go into administration and out of business. The best deal would be selling Blackburn Rovers to somebody who's interested in football, and getting some decent strikers alongside Sam Szchmodics.

Interesting that Adam is only 5th.

Surprised Gallagher is so high. Altho I suppose he did have a couple MOTM performances that drags the average up.

Telalovic stands out a mile. I had such high hopes.

Poor old John Fleck. Seems rough he even appears there. What a shambles.

He gives 100% workrate wise, but he does'nt do his job putting the ball in the net on a regular basis, which was the reason we were dragged into a relegation battle.

I'm not going to lie, I did give Pears a joke 10/10 after the Wednesday game. That might have skewed the results a bit.

Obviously it was always going to be Sammie Szmodics at number one. I can't remember a season where we literally only had one player doing anything of substance for us.

Pears has pulled off one or two world class saves last season, we can forgive him for the sheff wednesday clanger.

We won't get that for Szmodics he's almost 29 with no top league experience

You don't spend all the money you make as a club from sales especially when you're in as much debt as we are

I'd be buzzing with 20mil for Szmodics if we do sell him but could see it being more 15mil

Saying that then adding in other sales on top with the money we'll get from Raya we'll be at around 45mil made from transfer fees

We're a club in major financial trouble we aren't seeing all of that in fees to sign players if anything we'll spend at most 5/8 hopefully then you have to factor in loan fees and wages

This is a summer were venkys either make a statement and back us with fees for better signings or we continue with frees and loans with maybe 1 or 2 small fees

No matter what though we need to spend money to climb this table or this time next season we're league 1 unfortunately

I know it all wont go on transfers, but we could do with a decent striker or two in the Summer, we don't want to be in the same position next Season, I have been frustrated in the Blackburn end for half of the Season, all the missed sitters from our misfiring strikeforce (Sam Szchmodics not included). A decent centre half and a winger would improve things as well.

If we do sign anyone they'll be free and they'll probably be absolutely gash.

Whats happened to the £19,000,000 for Adam Wharton, according to the club about a month ago in the LT, there will be money available this Summer. Add the 19 million to Sam Szchmodics departure about 20- 25 million (its inevitable) there should be about 40 plus million to build a strong squad to challenge for things next Season.

  13. Sammy Szchmodics keeps us in the Championship, once again if he had'nt been playing we would have been relegated, with no contribution goalwise from the rest of the team. Enough of my rambing on, well done Rovers for securing Championship football at Ewood next Season. I do'nt think we have seen the best of John Eustace yet, we can regroup in the Summer and let John Eustace strengthen the squad for next Season.

I think Preston will get at least a point tonight meaning Leicester will need something on the final day to win the title. Even if they don't, we're not getting anything there so I don't think it matters. We're totally reliant on one of the teams below us not winning. It's therefore not in our hands on the final day in reality.

I'll personally be keeping a very close eye on the Plymouth game as I think that's the key one.

That's been the problem the last 4- 6 weeks of the season, losing and depending on other teams, simply not good enough. Our home form merits relegation, winning only 6 all season. If we stay up we can thank our lucky stars and try and strengthen the squad in the Summer.
