Not the time really to be getting onto Mowbray but 12 months ago (with arguably a better more experienced team on paper) we'd have dwindled into a 2 nil loss and been told were young lads not up to it. What a turnaround -

Hoping their lack of outright attacking wingers means fullbacks can get more time. Also hope Sammie Dolan Gallagher et al can keep a back 3 busy -

On our day I've seen us play as well as anyone Similarly to above too I thought Sheffield turned us over easily away No Mowbray death spiral to speak of I make that a positive, a negative, a positive. 1-0 Rovers -

Quick browse or the Leicester forum after we've turned them at home and they seem to be sold on Pears Rankin Costello and Travis and have us as better team (till the 70th minute) Didn't have myself typing those words in that order this time last year -

I go on about this but want to see Vale run his socks off here -
Dont think Buckley was especially good or especially poor. Think his game will only be benefited by being surrounded by lads who put a shift in (Sammie Travis Dolan gally etc) Hopefully can do so and carry us to Wembley
-
For me if we are having Costello cut in side which I do think works with the back 4/back 3 shift then surely we play him left back (cutting onto his right - despite the defensive risk) and have Britain at right back to utilize his drive down the wing and crossing ability. May be an issue in that Britain and Thomas play a similar game (both want to beat a man on the outside and play a ball in) however

Fear we've worked out socks of all evening and then subbed on two lads without much graft in them (Vale and Morton) Hope I'm wrong and we get 10 more minutes of good running out of them -

Realize it won't work like this but you'd think the legs of Gally Dolan Travis and szmodocs should run Blackpool ragged and give Buckley ample time to pick them apart. -

Realize Dolan isn't a striker nor is he the finished article but his first instinct being to play forward whether it's turn his man, play a ball or run at someone made him a standout for me today. Arguably better pressing today too from him than either of our centre mids -
The Vale to Dolan change shows how far a bit of graft and trying hard can get you. Also says a lot about what spells at the lower level and probably a bit of experience outside a comfort zone gets you too
-
Centre mid and a goal scoring striker and we get 2 or 3 there. Is Leonard (think that's his name) an 'actual' striker as I don't think much of Vale. Feel sorry for JDT and some of the comments. Understand he's got the tactical understudy etc but turning around and looking at that bench who makes an impact? Dolan and hedges at best

This has Thomas injury and a Wigan late winner all over it
-
Dack being able to add this running to his game after his injuries does make me feel slightly sorry for him and what could have been (for him)

Apparently the teams got there at 16:10 and there's no issues so we've not bothered checking and left Now we've a meeting we've missed and can't go ahead with -

Don't love Cantwell even as a Diaz replacement on the wing. Same for Gerhaldt as we have Dolan and Markanday. Would much prefer another striker if we lose Diaz, with Dack off of the two acting as the go between for Morton/Buckley. We've no ball carrier and two deep centre mods. Can either bring one in or play more central for me -

Left a comment the other day but if we keep Diaz a right back understudy, a lump of a central midfielder and either an attacking midfielder or a left footed central mid who doesn't play like Morton and Buckley and allows Diaz to attack more than defend makes the world of difference. If we do lose Diaz and make some spendable money then I think the manager will have a rethink of how we play and embed the passing game more. Currently we piddle about with it waiting for the long ball to Diaz on the break as for me we don't have bar Dack someone playing between the opposition's midfield and defence. A striker to replace some goals, a tough tackling centre mid, a back up right back on loan and a creative more attacking midfielder would change the team overnight
