  1. What's the odds on a JDT out and sympathy for Venkys February nth at Ewood once we've sold Wharton, Gally and loaned Travis but narrowly missed out on replacing them with quality players by the nasty rule keepers at the FA and the Indian courts system
  2. From very quick googling it seems a parish council meeting has ruined any hope of a January
  3. They also have Varane and Kingsley Coman so wouldn't read into it in the same way we have previously with the Scottish/Middlesbrough mafia
  4. Currently if I'm 17 years old and go on every away day, I hear the Venkys keep us afloat with 20m a year. I know 'uncle jack' in the same way I know god in church. What will get me to wear a scarf or go to a march. I saw a twitter/x post of Newport away and it was a bus full of 14-19 year olds. I don't think necessarily the older generation need convincing because they've got the anecdotal experience. But to have a successful protest (in my view, having never had one) I think you need A clear message A bought in base An emotive pull And if the Facebook groups are anything to go by the consensus of rovers is below Venkys keep the club afloat Without them we go bust We all love rovers
  5. My personal view only but needs to be more done to target under 25 year olds who have Stockholm syndrome. X threads, tiktok accounts etc. Need to explain the accounting to people who haven't worked in business. Really clear messaging, challenging with simple numbers some of the claims. I would view it as 'whatsapp shareable' infographics that look good (maybe the accounts from pre Venkys to post Venkys on a timeline etc - simple round numbers tied to delcine). And then on the Tiktok reels a mixture of general 'old rovers' clips with some PR spin videos now and again challenging ownership in a easy way. Comparisons to other clubs (who would buy Blackburn? Look at Bolton etc) Not that I don't think any of the above is good - but we've a generation now who a) don't know any different, absorb shorter length content and c) haven't the life experience to challenge some of the oddities.
  6. I joked about signing Telalovic from the German power league at soccer Dome but at least he had some illusion of pedigree from Borussia Monchengladbach (sp?) If we sign this lad from Belgium I'm going to start bringing my boots to Ewood on the off chance
  7. https://onefootball.com/en/news/explained-how-ipswich-towns-owners-gamechanger-20-ltd-got-rich-38405254 Ipswich new owners, financially risk averse pension group, bought the club and wiped their 100m debt. They view a sustainable premier league club as a profitable and safe investment for the Arizona emergency services pension fund. Who would buy Blackburn rovers?
  8. A recurring question is given our youth team play and do well in the same league as all the youngsters we loan in, where is the good business in doing this and not developing within. The academy model can be offset with experienced heads but supplementing it with further academy drags it all down
  9. Surely there is a tall strong athletic goal scoring left winger at a premier league B team on £500 a week who can also play up front, at centre back, at left back and in goals.. surely?
  10. I too agree, and completely agree new user Michael12345. I also think Mr Steve Waggot gets a bit too more grief for someone trying day in day out around the clock to avoid relegation this year.
  11. Whats the status on Dolan is he gone at the end of the year or extendable
  12. Nobody at the club wants relegation, obviously, but I wonder if some look at 12 months in a lower competition standard as a benefit to our academy graduates and a way to maximise their value Tin foil hat off Part of me does thing JDT w/c/should play an entire academy team on the first game in Feb if he's not backed this window
  13. Too many sadly viewing us as a stepping stone. Oh well if we draw today I'm back off the X in the summer.
  14. Agreed, especially when on the side of the dugout
  15. There has to be some accountability for Sigurdson though. He's surely can't walk on the pitch and not expect to track back
  16. We're a step removed from rushback keepers here. Everyone's playing where they like. We've nothing at left back and Moran is making my left arm go numb
  17. Moran jogging avoiding the ball in the middle
  18. For the gamblers amongst us, we've just used all our subs and brittain's going to pull up with a hamstring issue. Sorba Thomas next scorer
  19. Would've been tempted to put garret at left back and Sigurdson in garrets position Also well done pears
  20. It'd be almost funny if it wasn't sad that we've looked at a team with 3 centre backs, of which one has 9 goals this year from set pieces, then lumped balls into the box
  21. On the basis I think we're playing 3 at the back with Pickering at centre back, brittain isn't playing right wing and neither players start position is infront of tronstad wharton, I'd say wing back. Granted it's all relatively irrelevant
  22. From watching I'd say a 5 3 2 / 5 2 3 depending on garret
  23. 8 minutes played so can't judge him as a footballer but Chrisene looks to have some athleticism
