  1. The other obvious point is it isn't reinventing the wheel as to the blueprint to drive commercials regardless of the pitch. Given the last 5 years and looking at the next 5, the work clubs like Derby, Bolton and Pompey have done re fan engagement will have a very clear knock on as thousands of local fans who otherwise would be united, Southampton etc fans turn 16-30
  2. Technically strong and if he was physically strong he'd be premier league. The way around that is support with physical players (JRC, Dolan) and id put him between 10 and 15 goals. Add in another 10 somewhere else and were looking ship shape
  3. Markanday is the cleanest striker of the ball, Gilsenan has a good youth record and Leonard has found space not quite catching the finish Unfortunately don't any scoring 15+
  4. Out of our price range but agree we need a left footed centre back. Would be after Tom Isherwood. 6ft 5 so covers some of McFadz duty, left footed and has been promoted in Germany. Came through at Bayern Munich but has also played at Bradford. Out of contract too
  5. New Jrc carter Hyam Pickering Tronstad Travis New Gilsenan New Leonard If limited to 3. Keeper needed (Rotherham, Prem loanee or otherwise - 1 must for me would be tall and commanding at set pieces as the rest of the team are tiny) New cm needed, or right back with JRC there. Personally dislike brittain after this year so would aim to replace. Either Sorensen for right back from Lincoln (tall, fast, creative) or a nasty so and so at centre mid. Limited to 3 otherwise would be after a striker too but playing to the rules, we can't keep banking on individual quality to keep us up (Dack, Diaz, Rhodes, Gestede, Armstrong, Szmod) so ideally a midfielder who scores goals. McAtee at Barnsley via Luton for me and if we can go to 4, stick Taylor from luton in the deal too. Otherwise I also rate Freddie Draper not least for having the best celebration in the football league. Would do the same job as Gally but much younger and cheaper.
  6. I object to crowdfunding based on sales of recent, but for my own sanity I'd put a tenner into a pot for this
  7. Can't see any value in renewing Gally he's dross. None scoring target men are a dime a dozen and I think I'd rather us risk a younger version in Draper from Lincoln than the 15k a week gally is on. Adding hielek and Bielik would add a bit of height and tenacity to a very pleasant technical academy team. Just missing an athletic left back (agree would take Chrisene back), central midfielder (is Barron at Aberdeen any good - the Scottish guys at work talk about him) and another player to score a goal or two (McAtee)
  8. The polish duo of Bielik and Helik would be my realistic scavenge of the teams going down. Drameh/Demebele etc I can see others after. Rathborne out of contract, or Odoffin at Rotherham would be a pick from them if we had to. Purely utility players.
  9. If Gally took his professional footballers brain to any other profession he'd be sacked. If he was a ventriloquist with the equivalent professional brain he'd have the puppets arm up his own arse
  10. I didn't know this but listening to Bead Friedel's podcast with Ben Foster. Talking about how his transfer fee was the payout of an MLS payment Liverpool owed per 100 games (100k EA). Not on gods green earth would we see the same £ per quality per nous with these in charge
  11. Birmingham doing £2 a pint at the ground and have sold out within 2 days. If we were at home we'd be filling the Darwen end
  12. Wasn't Tom Lawrence once of the Derby team with Keogh who were drink driving? If so, he's no chance of coming here. Imagine the trouble when out leased coach has to leave him at an away day to get back for the 7am school run.
  13. If we do stay up next year and knowing this lot we are really in the shit. I don't want RWs, CDMs or CAMs I want ASBOs and battlers. We have a pipeline of lightweight technical players supplemented by the academy but unless is Carter at 6'2 the tallest of the lot?
  14. I was working to Scott being out for half of next year, carter potentially being sold leaving us Riordan and the option to continue McFadz. In which case Isherwood ticks a little of box Wharton and a little of box McFadz
  15. No idea. Only ever seen him at centre back where he's appeared a bit of a shit house stopper in the mould of McFadz but 10 years younger and 2 inch taller. Alternatively Schalke are going bump and Derry Murkin has played left back and centre back for them. English, 6ft, 6 assists. If someone comes in for Pickering he may complement that
  16. Scott replacement - Tom Isherwood. Just been relegated from bundesliga but did well in the promotion campaign last year. 6ft 5 or 6ft 6, left footed, has experience in the English leagues. Out of contract in the summer
  17. Is that the issue? In training we level out into looking like a balanced squad. Some weeks Telalovic gets 5 and some weeks Pears looks a brick wall
  18. My joke answer is Telalovic scored 42 goals in the league for Derby County on my football manager save. In which case if we do go down I may pre emptively get the 500/1 bet on. Back into the real world I can see Gilsenan, Leonard, Markanday and Gent developing well.
  19. The worst bit will be hearing Callum Brittain laugh about this in a bistro bar he ends up owning on an under the cosh podcast in 5 to 7 years time
  20. Adding Buckley into this. Still not sure why tronstad goes off. Buckley isn't up to it and hasn't developed since breaking through the team.
  21. Maybe 7 thousand screaming Yorkshireman behind the confidence keeper isn't a good move
