  1. Re Hedges, theres no player in this division who isn't limited in some way. The key to getting out of a league like this isn't assembling a squad of premier league quality players. It's getting players in positions where their strengths are accentuated and their flaws are not as relevant. Thats more straightforward with a competent back office/owners, but VI seems to have done that with a few players regardless, eg Hedges, De Neve, Cantwell, Miller. It's in no small part due to him being willing to make a significant change to our formation, which isn't the kind of flexibility you often see from modern coaches, with JDT immediately coming to mind.
  2. Shows what a different team you can be when your 1 and 9 put in excellent performances.
  3. Keepers never get the credit (or blame) they're due in these sorts of things.
  4. The kind that doesnt need all 6 of their fingers.
  5. This kind of comment can apply to a lot of players, but if Alebiosu had power, pace, physicality as well as consistently fantastic distribution/final ball he wouldnt be playing in this division.
  6. God its good having a keeper who can keep you in games.
  7. I know there's a lot of rightful scepticism about this squad, but I still think he should be getting much more out of them than this. Particularly up front. There are some pieces there, they're just not gelling and that thats 100% on Ismael.
  8. The training wheels CEO using Chat GPT to bulk respond (lie) to fans on LinkedIn is peak clown Rovers.
  9. Just when you think United can't get any more hilarious...
  10. If only we could charge going rates to do this.
  11. Chaddys consistent inconsistency aside, I do agree its too early to say whether VI will be a downgrade on Eustace. Eustace maybe has a few more runs on the board, but its not like VI has been a perennial failure and there's something to be said for having a manager who can function in a strange, chaotic environment. Eustace clearly couldn't and while you can argue our managers shouldn't have to, at this point its as useful as yelling at a wall. If VI is able to better manage the cretins higher up then well probably see benefits flow through to the pitch.
  12. If I'm Ismael, having worked only at normal clubs, "strange and difficult" are probably words I'd use to describe a Rovers transfer window as well.
  13. Yeah I know. Just highlighting that both poor decisions probably get overturned.
