Chaddys consistent inconsistency aside, I do agree its too early to say whether VI will be a downgrade on Eustace. Eustace maybe has a few more runs on the board, but its not like VI has been a perennial failure and there's something to be said for having a manager who can function in a strange, chaotic environment. Eustace clearly couldn't and while you can argue our managers shouldn't have to, at this point its as useful as yelling at a wall. If VI is able to better manage the cretins higher up then well probably see benefits flow through to the pitch.
