  1. Would keep JRC and Buckley for extra bodies. No fee from their sale is being used for player buying.
  2. No, no, no. Money from transfers is not reinvested into the team - there is no point accepting any transfer money.
  3. "At the time of writing, Dion De Neve is the only player contracted until 2028." Simply astonishing...
  4. Exactly this - whether they sell or not is not the primary goal, it's pushing them to say or do something. Much like telling the three amigos (now 2) to stay away. Deep down we knew they wouldn't stay away but it forced their hand to respond...
  5. Forget the £200M - that is not happening. It's about Venkys understanding that this asset is a write off (happens every day in the private capital world) and cutting their losses/getting as much as they can. As per @RoverDom it WILL become £300M, £400M... because we are not progressing upwards in any way with the current strategy - it simply will not allow us to grow. Where this all falls down and unfortunately seems to be more and more the case, is if they just don't care and are treating Rovers not as an investible but a trophy asset, then it really is game over with this strategic direction.
  6. 100% agree there are limits to what can be done if you do not have a channel of communication. I still believe one of the ways to draw out Venkys into actually doing something (or not which still speaks volumes) is to actively source interested investors. Through our network, we must have some corporate financier, private equity professionals, well connected HNWs that could potentially gauge interest? The three amigos (now two) said that they would be present 'credible offers' to Venkys so let's find them....This interest (regardless of how concrete) would provide strong ammo for the Coalition to present to media.
  7. Just a reminder - what are the Venkys getting out of owning Blackburn Rovers?!
  8. As per above, Elliott Jackson needs to be all over this. There is no corporate world in which you cannot respond to this without significant scrutiny.
  9. Hi @glen9mullan and team (super work btw!) have you approached Newsnight to ask them to investigate? Doubt anything would necessarily materialise into a segment however they should, at the very least, try and contact Venkys and this would certainly get noticed. Even an exploratory email would get them to take note (you would have thought...) 10. Champ, PL clubs approach Alalshikh for investment Championship clubs and at least one Premier League club have approached Saudi Arabian billionaire Turki Alalshikh seeking investment. The chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has a wide range of business interests but has never invested in English football. That could be about to change with a growing number of Championship clubs attempting to attract Saudi investors to help them win promotion to the Premier League. Alalshikh has become one of the most influential powerbrokers in sport after staging some of boxing's biggest bouts. Until last week Alalshikh was also the owner of Spanish club Almeria. He bought the club in a £20m deal in the summer of 2019. Ownership of the club was transferred to Saudi investment group SMC last Friday.
  11. Need to have a plan of action should either Pasha or Rudy take charge. Need a full on riot.
  12. Please please can we not refer to how selling a player will provide more transfer funds. It won't as has been proved - simply being pocketed by Venkys. Would keep anyone that isn't a bad influence just as a body. Trading players is not giving us anything back financially.
  13. Really important point - Gestede and co keep referring to £5M budget. This includes wages. Not how any other club describes a transfer budget...
  14. As well as everything else, what really annoys me is when they refer to budgets and investment in players, they keep including the player's wages. So the measly "£5M" summer budget includes wages and is therefore probably half that.....
  15. The next stage of this must be to actively bring potential buyers to the table through our network, friends, etc. Waggot said they would consider credible offers. Let's find them.
  16. In the interviews, Waggot clearly said they would present credible offers to the Venkys. As one of protest stages, could we come together and use fans/friends that could source a buyer? Often the issue is that buyers don't know an asset could be sold - we need to create the narrative that Rovers chiefs would entertain credible offers. There hasn't been that directive before....
  17. It makes me laugh talking about sacking VI. We don't sack Managers - that costs money. They have to actually leave on their own...
  18. Thought VI interview was interesting - acknowledged a deep issue with fans and club. Didn't sugarcoat or play down etc. Quite liked it...
  19. Question for any auditors/accountants. Venkys need to arrange a new bank overdraft facility for the club in May (announced in Companies House filing in November) - given more court delays and lack of star player fee in horizon, will that process shed any light for fans?
  20. He also doesn't seem to do anything on the touchline, hardly motivational and in post match interviews is smiling away!! At the very least show like you give a shit - players should be getting hammered for being habitually soft at this end of the season.
