Don’t be fooled by a handful of posters. The overwhelming consensus is that change is needed. I understand why some say “support the team” perhaps because they believe Venkys will never sell (which may be true). But even then, the demand is simple: we want Venkys to show they're even know we exist! This letter is smart because it forces an answer either way. They respond with investment, dare I say,,,, engagement, or they ignore it, which tells us everything we need to know. If it’s the latter, then it’s clear there is no change, and protests will only intensify.

There are no more excuses for avoiding investment. By that point, we’ll likely be hovering around the relegation zone and in desperate need of reinforcements. The media would undoubtedly pick up the story, and if there’s no response or action from the owners, then our conclusion becomes undeniable — the Venkys have no desire or ambition to ever see Rovers grow. I wonder if this is the right moment for the Coalition to issue an open letter calling on the Venkys to finally back the club, now that financial restrictions have been lifted. With no excuses left, we expect visible commitment: come to Ewood, invest significantly in January, and give the team the financial (and leadership) support it needs to avoid relegation. Realistically, we know this won't happen but if the response is silence, that in itself will speak volumes and confirm their lack of genuine interest in the club.

One point - if it goes as expected and therefore sets a precedent, what’s to stop clubs from feigning issues like medical emergencies, stand safety concerns, or similar late in matches to force full replays in crucial games? Surely each case needs to be assessed on its own merits?

A striker is actually critical. Ohashi is good, will get goals as will Gueye but not as many but we need more. If one is injured, we're in big trouble.

And none of the £3.5M will be used for transfers. The (sensible model) of buying cheap and selling at top price only works if reinvested into playing squad. We never do. As fans, we shouldn't be happy if any of our first team go, regardless of price...

One major trend every season is that we always have a sustained slump of games in the second half. This is down to having a poor squad - as soon as injuries hit, we can't replace with any quality (coupled with poor January transfer windows). We need a better bench.
