Looks like nobody can be arsed updating the kick off times on here: https://www.rovers.co.uk/matches/results/

Fair enough, I read that the other way! My cock up. Like I say they should be encouraging folk and do it as a long term plan. To me it’s a great opportunity to try something now there are 8 Saturday matches set in stone to work with, to counteract season ticket holders being annoyed I wouldn’t give any entitlement to away ticket purchase etc. Maybe there’ll be some flexi card thing again. Anyway we all know the score with it all now, most of the negatives stem from tv ultimately as well as the obvious.
-
Atmosphere should be better, more sales of booze and food are what I would point to. Lot of variables - far from as simple as one size fits all to me.
-
Yeah that is true. I would like to see the actual attendance announced though, as in people through the gates - covers up the truth a bit. Also I know a fair few who have moved to the Riverside at £299 from JWU simply as it was the cheapest option, a few actually only did it on the last day of sales at that price having been very close to not buying one full stop.
-
To me I think it is, know of many (across EFL Clubs) who haven’t bothered this season because of many being moved on weekends, I don’t mind 12:30 Saturdays myself but quite a few do. Obviously everyone knows their situation before any fixtures are set in relation to midweek matches so you can’t use that as an argument but say a few had been Friday nights or Sunday noons instead of Saturdays then I would have been ruled out of attending - makes buying a season ticket even more of a risk, now at least till Jan I know what I can make (one benefit of the new tv deal). Clubs struggling to shift them should try and capitalise on this - not asking for pro rata price for 8 matches by the way (meaning £299 or even £439 split by 23 x 8 for Riverside for example) but try and encourage those who can only make Saturday matches. It’s easy to get out the habit of going, especially when you dislike the owners and have to travel a decent distance.

When you are struggling for paying customers you should try anything. Especially right now with how clear it is kick off times are putting people off. Don’t think you are understanding my point at all, covers August, September, October, November and December - fair enough if you regard that as a “few weeks”.
-
With 8 home matches now confirmed for Saturday up to Xmas be interesting to see how many would buy a package for those for say £160 for all 8 (Riverside). I’d be tempted, can’t do evening or Sunday lunch kickoffs because of trains so never even consider a season ticket now.
-
Think it is actually quite good compared to past seasons. Sheff Wed away had to be evening kick off and live whatever I think.
-
8 Saturday home matches up to New Year I think? 3 at 12:30 5 at 15:00
-
Cheers, shows how out of touch I am!
-
Expect the majority of midweek matches will be CAT C? Not a big deal but they should release the CATs before a ball is kicked.
-
lol, they got us here anyway pal!

Only thing is last season the whole EFL started same weekend and League 2 were shown live at 3pm - the blackout didn't apply, shows it here: https://www.efl.com/news/2024/june/26/watch-every-game-on-the-opening-day-of-the-2024-25-season/ This season 1 and 2 start a week earlier. You are probably right regarding 12:30 kick offs but it is a bit different to last season this time.
-
Anyone any idea if all EFL Fixtures are live on the opening weekend as well? https://www.efl.com/news/2024/june/26/watch-every-game-on-the-opening-day-of-the-2024-25-season/ Were last season, had forgotten about that. 12:30 Saturday away could be a possibility to start with?

Premier League updated their tv selection date section as soon as they released the fixtures last week: https://www.premierleague.com/news/4324684 Hopefully EFL do it as well, showing this still: https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/tv-game-selection-process/ This is what it was last season, article from July 6th 2024: TV Change Dates for EFL Championship Games August 9 to September 29: Already done. Games October 1 to January 11: Prior to the start of the 2024-25 season, which is August 9. This is the really big change in EFL tv dates for the 2024-25 season. For the rest of the season, they don’t guarantee these dates, but they are subject to a minimum notice — usually four weeks until the last two weeks of the season. Games January 18 to January 25: December 18, 2024. Games February 1 to 12: January 1, 2025. Games February 22: January 22, 2025. Games March 1: February 1, 2o25. Games of March 8: February 8, 2025. Games of March 11-15: February 11, 2025. Games from March 29: March 1, 2025. Games from April 5-9: March 5, 2025. Games of April 12: March 12, 2025. Games of April 18-21: March 18, 2025. Games of April 26: March 26, 2025. Games of May 3: April 3, 2025. This is the last day of the season, so all games will be at the same time. The announcement is simply which ones will be broadcast. https://groundhopperguides.com/tv-change-dates-efl-championship/

Fed up with the poor communication from the EFL over the years as well myself, completely disillusioned by Football in England - obviously mostly through Venky's but kick off times etc really have got me to the point I can't be arsed most the time. EFL still havent released anything regarding this for 25/26: https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/tv-game-selection-process They must know the dates for selecting tv matches, this is what really matters for planning going to matches up to Jan. They just treat us all like numpties with nothing better to do.
-
Anyone heard if this is to be the same for 25/26? In a landmark commitment, the EFL and Sky committed to providing fans and clubs up to five months’ notice of TV selections, an increase from the five weeks' notice given across the majority of the 2023/24 season. Within seven days of the EFL Fixture Release Day, all matches selected for broadcast for the period to the end of September were announced, and before a ball was kicked in August, all TV selections were confirmed for the period up to the FA Cup third round in early January 2025. In November 2024, selections were made in respect of all matches played between the end of the third round proper of the FA Cup and the first weekend of March 2025.

“An initial 406 seats in an area of N01 would be impacted during the first phase of the project, which is set to be rolled out over the summer months, in time for the start of next season” Yeah that’s its mate. I’d love to buy one in there to be honest, just struggle getting to any non Saturday matches from Carlisle due to trains. I’ll definitely be going in there though to see what it’s like when I can.
-
Thanks. Basically the whole of NO1 is safe standing then?
-
Anyone bought one in the standing section yet?

Same Firm as Bet Victor, just a different shell: https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/public-register/business/detail/trading-names/39576

Just for reference, you need to be on the desktop site but if you click "ALL HISTORY" you will see all the prices that selection has been and the date they were that on here: https://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/blackburn/next-permanent-manager/bet-history/george-boateng

Used to work for the mentioned firm, albeit 20 years ago now. Seems to have changed a lot but we used to have some excellent marks for these markets due to who used to bet with us (players, agents etc...), Plenty of decent info. Now they are more for PR and getting new accounts opened I always think, expect there is a liability limit of under £500 on most, even less for new accounts. I actually miss the job at times like this as I could enter any name and get people talking, twitter would go wild if I stuck "Dyche 1/5" in for example!
-
Well they proved me wrong! Was convinced they'd call them after the FA Cup this weekend. Hopefully they just keep announcing them 4 weeks ahead every Friday, least there will be a pattern of some sorts then.
-
As I said earlier in the thread, the way they’ve slipped that 7 day part in basically means it is no longer 4 weeks. May well be for March 1st but can’t see them sticking to it 100%. They already went back on the November 1st agreement as I mentioned earlier. Can’t be trusted, sad how we stand for it in England - treated like numpties at the end of the day, no excuse at all for their continual lies.
