Just confirms what we already know there seems to be a bit of a disagreement between recruitment team and Eustace re the player

A big part of it was not getting the players he wanted to fit his system not even getting a striker alone to replace bbd he wanted/needed certain style/type of player for his system and the recruitment team failed him on 3 occasions that said he shouldn’t have just gave up I didn’t like that trait in him and I also agree we didn’t have a plan b - but there’s a very good coach in JDT season before proved it just too much going on last year

Eustace knew what he was getting into. It was played out in public last year by JDT so there’s no way he wouldn’t have known about venkys waggott and their previous/history with managers. So he’s accepted the role knowing what was likely going to happen

As stated above anybody with his speed if they had good end product they would be in prem - all about coaching and getting the best from him. Given the reported figures re wages etc can’t see this one happening unless he takes a pay cut

I agree Wharton was sold on the cheap no doubt about it but the szmodics deal in isolation is/was a fair reflection for his profile in the market
