Well done sirs. An object lesson in dealing with a burst pipe.
WHAT A PITY YOU LET IT HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.....
End of season, slight upswing in form way too late to do anything but rub salt in the open and suppurating wounds.
VENKYS WAGGOTT PASHA GESTEDE WANKERS OUT.

As I feared, before the game. Just nothing in the tank from the players or the manager to get anything out of this one, and Cardiff simply wanted to win more than we did. It seems like that is all our opponents need to do these days, just rock up and show one ounce of desire, and we capitulate like powder puff, streaks of piss.
As they say on that silly TV programme, for that reason, "I'm out"

Cosier-Duberry an absolute liability.
Why do we even bother?

Ok, so match prediction thoughts...
Cardiff are a meh, neither here nor there outfit, with a few 'flair' players but mostly anonymous journeymen (who are we to talk eh?) with an anxious eye on the trapdoor directly below them, and therefore more likely to be up for a scrap. Rovers have simply lost the plot, and the arrival of Valerien Ismael and his sidekick Dean Whitehead appears to have done nothing to install greater resolve in our previously resolute bunch...perhaps it has served only to put heads down and cause confusion in the ranks.
So, this afternoon's fare has more riding on it for the Bluebirds than it does for the Blue & Whites, I think that much is for sure.
If Rovers can assert their home advantage, and remember what made them tick before, perhaps we will see a win. More likely, given the three turgid performances since VI came to town, that we huff and puff individually, play like a team of Frankenstein's monsters (all stitches and badly fitting parts, with no particular sense of purpose) until Cardiff inevitably breach our fragile rearguard. Then heads go down, the aerial bombardment redoubles with no discernible effect, and we huff and puff ineffectually till 4.45 and out..
Or, somehow the players galvanise themselves into the performance of the season, and we run out comfortable winners over a demoralized and introspective gaggle of Bluebirds.
My money, based on recent form, is sadly much more on the first scenario..
Bluebirds singing all the way home: Rovers 0 Cardiff 2
Blue & White trumps Blue balls: Rovers 2 (Ohashi, Cantwell off his bum) Cardiff 1 (late penalty) baying foul back to South Wails..
Blues all round bore fest: Rovers 0 Cardiff 0
Allez les Bleu et Blanc!

We have to get our own performances right, before we start worrying about anyone else. If we win tomorrow we are back in the race.
No. We just aren't. This season has finished. Ended. Kaput. Gone. It's over..
I won't be here when you come home.
I'm sorry if you don't understand (Chaddy), forgive me if you can..
But I can see another road (not the one to Wembley), and I ain't coming back (Gav)
Don't look for me around this town, cos I will be so far away you'll never find me anywhere (Norbert Rassraggr Lee Grooby, USARover, Exiled in Toronto)
And I won't take no souvenirs, no perfumed picture promises,
Because IT'S OVER, and I ain't coming back (Jim Mk2)
You gave me everything (Rovers), and now I'm breaking your heart (VI)
You know that I don't mean, to tear your world apart (Old Codger, Adam Wharton)
I would never leave, if I thought you couldn't stand the pain (Waggott 😞 )
A letter in the hall is written on the wall, a letter with no words of love at all (VI, JE, Waggott, Rudy)
Because, IT'S OVER, and I ain't coming back.. (thousands of Rovers fans)
And as I close the door, I know I'm breaking your heart (SimonGarnerisGod)
I should have loved you more? (Tyrone Shoelaces, Neil in Bristol, Shearer,
Instead, I've torn your world apart (Buckley, Cantwell, Roversfan99, Gumboots, Wild Irish Rover)
And as I walk into the lonely afternoon, I feel sad enough (everyone) I feel mad enough (not enough of us)
And all the times when you are lonely where you are (Rovers) please don't hate me then - I just could not pretend 😞 😞 😞
Feel the tears. Feel the tears. RUNNING DOWN THE YEARS...

Why would you try to change the way they play, when that alone is the reason for their (then) lofty league position. Something doesn't add up.

Dead rubber. Nothing to play for. Training game. Nothing riding on it. No-stakes game. Dynamic de-quilibrium.
No point getting in the slightest bit excited, up-tight, nervous, worried or the tiniest bit concerned about this one, because the reality has now set in, and the game is a meaningless worthless exercise in futility.
End. Of.

Forgot to mention, Cantwell isn't a player for this league. I'm not sure what team he would suit really. He just seems to saunter around and gets involved when he likes and gets pushed off the ball easily.
And Dennis, what a pointless waste of a squad place. May as well kept Sigurdsson.Dennis has to be one of the most baffling signings in recent history. He shows absolutely no interest, no skill, no flair, no ability. Can't tackle, doesn't track back, hasn't a clue where the goal is, doesn't seem to understand the concept of passing to team mates and more than anything else, just looks like he thinks he is somehow way better than everyone else around him (a bit like a certain Cantwell person). And those, ladies and gentlemen, are his better points! 😞 Get rid, I say

Tonight is the time for Ismael to show what he's made of. Galvanise the players and get a win against a nervous Stoke side, or another game where we are outfought and out-willed all over the pitch. Make or break time.
Yup. Break time, as we suspected. Whatever hope we had that VI might galvanise these players into remembering what it means to play as a team together, seems to have been lost somewhere in translation, either at Brockhall, or in the dressing room. Last night was as plodding and incoherent a game plan as I've witnessed in many a year - just no discernable plan to break a way through what was a largely dreadful set of opponents huffing and puffing their own miserable way to victory at any cost.
What a crock.
What a waste.
Here's a blast from the past, to take your mind off things, as we abandon hope of any crescendo at the end of this miserable season.

Doubts about Toth being ready are understandable, but the questions about Pears suitability for the Championship have been well and truly answered at this point.
Has anyone else seen that stupid click bait thing claiming Man Utd are eyeing up a move for Ainsley P, in preference to Onana.. I mean AI is responsible for some shite on the tinterweb, but really?? 🙂
We have some good memories from this season, banked and there to be recalled in the dark days ahead. There is a lot to let go of this season too. It is only Wednesday, but am mighty tempted to watch this one through strong beer goggles 🙂

We will be 3 down before any of our subs come on. The game will be over, and so will our season.
So predictable.
Come. On. You. Blues.. 😞

Depressing as it is, the season pretty much ends for Rovers this week. Yeah we will scrape the odd result here and there, but there isn't going to be any last hurrah from the rabble of unsecured journeymen that Messrs Waggott and Suhail Pasha have overseen the recruitment of..
It does beg the question though...
WHAT NEXT?
Of course, ALLEZ LES BLEU!, but what if there is no longer a team to get behind? What then?

The last piece of the jigsaw for me is Danny Baath. He has far more composure and gravitas about him than any of our other options at the back, and reads the game far more comfortably. Till he returns, the slide towards dead rubber run in will continue inexorably, sliding away on Pears' errors, Hyams' timidity, Sandersons ineptitude and Carter's gung-ho foraging.
Where IS Danny B??

It's known as the Dead Cat Splat on our boardI suppose we share a similar recent track record in terms of the impact of appointments. Mind you, Stoke's benefactors are well and truly minted, and don't hide in the shadows like our goons...At least if you are going to complain about the shit show, you can be fairly sure that the message actually reaches those at whom it is aimed. We poor sods, in contrast, have been talking to ourselves in true schizo fashion, like the old bird who used to wander around Blackburn Boulevard (bus station to you) speaking in tongues and shouting, "Fucking bastaaard" to nobody in particular but anyone who paid the slightest attention. 'Earwig' we used to call her, as she would hold her hands over her ears whilst uttering oaths and her 'fucking bastaarrd' refrain - VERY reminiscent of the 'protest movement' down Ewood way these past donkeys years. Gawd rest her soul (whilst ours continues to writhe in torment).
Potters to give us a firing - Stoke 3 Rovers not even at the races 0
Rovers to re-kindle the faltering fires of fanhope - Potters 1 Rovers Rejuvenated 2
Rovers Potted - Stoke City 1 (Gallagher 93) Blackburn Rovers 0 (feck off back up the M6 you 'Fucking Bastaaard' Earwigs

Their players taking every opportunity to have a rest and stop the game. Ridiculous. The referee is way out of his league here too.

Hopefully the rabbit in the headlights thing is a blip, and the goal will steady the resolve of the lads.

WHat the actual fook do these lads and management do in training? They look like rabbits in the headlights here, against a weak Derby side... WTaF

Can't get there that way without going through the nightmare three way lights at the Fieldens. Even with light traffic, things back up all the way to the top of Moulden Brow 😞 I'd say a good few folk might miss the start of today's game if caught out by this. Probably best for their enjoyment of the game, mind..
Rover versus Harry the Dog. Only one winner here, I'm afraid. And it isn't the Rovers fans..
