  1. We've had the rub of the green for two games in a row now, so am expecting lady luck to tear us a new one tomorrow evening. We can also expect, as a minimum: Toth and Alebiosu to have a good game whatever the score. Yuki to run his nuts off. De Neve flatters to De Ceve (pardon the pun) Gudjohnsen to put himself about to good effect. Low expectations based on recent form at Ashton Gate or wherever it is these days. Should be more confidence in the side based on our last couple of outings... Robins run Rovers Ragged 3 -1 Robins rue Rovers Resilience 2-2 Robins regret Rovers Running Riot 0-3 COYB! Give em a game, at least πŸ™‚ VENKSTERS OUT!
  2. Can't see us getting anything other than a good thrashing here. I think VI should make all the players wear that ridiculous headgear that Yuki donned after his minor surgery last weekend. We could just play football for fun, I suppose, for a change.
  3. John Bailey He used to stop at Station Garage (in Feniscowles, next to what was the Horden Rake, is now the Foundry) for petrol on his way home in his - Vauxhall Viva. Imagine one of the current crop of pros driving an ordinary person's car!?? It was dark blue, like this one..
  4. So, Rovers revival it was. If you get a chance, have a look at the comments on the BBC report on the game - Saints fans sounding uncannily similar to the gripes and groans that have echoed from the Ewood sewers in recent times... Perhaps there is a wider game afoot, that we, as Rovers fans, parochially fail to spot. Perhaps not. Will take the win. OUT WITH THE SCUM
  5. Eleven 18-30 year old men on two sides for a game in the Championship. All are professional footballers, all are fit and healthy, all are (relatively) well paid (compared to the local average wage) and all dream of playing at the highest level possible. Sounds pretty even when put like that. Then we wake up to: Experience vs out of their depth Confidence vs demoralised flapping Competent coaching vs incoherent vs incomprehensible game planning Strength in depth vs weakness wherever you look Leadership on the field vs disarray and misunderstanding A team playing for a respected and successful manager vs a bunch of raggedy muffin misfits clearly not engaged with their coach.. And that was just Tuesday night against an easily blunted Blades.. Coming to this afternoon's mismatch, what can we realistically expect? Rovers repeating regression vs Southampton gleeful long haul home? 0-2 Rovers Revival vs Southampton Slide? 1-0 Rovers on Routed vs Southampton sadly on song? 0-6 Remember, the 'Exciting Plan' is to pitch inexperienced & demoralised journeymen and make weights against battle-hardened professionals, then kick and hope. Football ISNT a funny old game when played like Russian Roulette with the safety catch off and a full magazine. BASTARDS! VENKYS PASHA AND THE BOY OUT!!
  6. There is nothing to say. The club has been systematically and cynically disemboweled. The history and traditions of our club count for nothing (under these morons) The management at the club pour scorn on the fans. The owners are a complete disgrace and deserve to be run out of town. The playing squad just isn't good enough for the division we are in (and THEY know it) The fan base is fractured, demoralised and desperate for change, but that isn't happening on the moron's watch. RIP BLACKBURN ROVERS SHAME ON EVERY SINGLE MORON WHO HAS HAD A HAND IN OUR DEMISE
  7. Staying at home is a better night out.. There is nothing attractive about Blackburn town centre at night time, and those days are long consigned to history and a few memories.
  8. "on the other hand, the bacon butties at Gawthorpe are only a short drive down the A671.." or, Cantwell, "Behold! See how the uninitiated hang on my every word as Captain.." Ismael, "STFU Mr Bouffant, when I want your opinion, I'll give it to you.."
  9. Seconded! And this is what is wrong with the game these days..https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c62l5qz9jwgo
  10. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2025/sep/05/dorking-fan-54-goalkeeper-injury-crisis Should we offer Pears to this lot, for the weekend? πŸ˜‰
  11. The trouble is, it isn't really a shit league at all - there are plenty of well organised teams who know the ropes, have strength in depth, and who will kick the shit out of the novices and journeymen we now have at our disposal. Woe betide our players' confidence and the general atmosphere around Ewood if and when the blind optimism and eternal faith of the self-annointed begins to be tested on a depressingly regular basis. It might even spiral out of all control... On the other hand, we may be about to witness the greatest feat of managerial wisdom and strategic genius ever seen in the second tier of English football. Imagine if the lads come blazing like footballing gods out of the traps after the international break, sweeping all and sundry before them, invincible and polished like potential pound shop premier league contenders. Which will be all well and good until we go somewhere horrible like Deepdale in the depths of a cold wet November - then just watch how quickly the gloss comes off when that odious knobhead Heckingbottom's turgid collection of zombie cloggers just go, 'Naaahhhh, and put their foot through us' (and we know that we get zero protection from refs, even when we have a few hard lads in the side. Can't see the latter scenario (of miraculous gelling of our smorgasborg of cast-offs) coming off to be fair. We are far more likely to get twatted, than feted. So, this shit league eh? I think we might be reminiscing about the Championship as a cultural haven and paradise lost by this time next year. But don't mind me. I'm just a codger. I've only got 53 years of insight and experience of watching the comings and goings at Ewood to go on - so what would I know? SHADOW SHAIKH OUT! VENKYS OUT! RUDE BOY OUT!
  12. The proof of the pudding will be in the eating. And I'm firmly in the camp that has us getting devoured on a regular basis by sides who have got their shit together in this league (which is an a1 prerequisite that Rudy and Shaiky seem to have completely overlooked).
  13. Aye, but who IS the club in this context? We forget at our peril that the only constant since this whole nightmare began is the shadow-man, and he has shown time and time again complete contempt for others, disdain for due process and total ignorance of the law in this country as regards the treatment of employees. His one trick pony tactic is simply to put others between him and the full scrutiny of those who question what is going on at the club. He also knows that should he step into the light, for example in a 'fans forum' type meeting, he would be rapidly exposed for the rat that he is - which is why, of course, we never hear a peep from him, because he knows he is that close to being undone. We can see RG is a knob, and perhaps that is his role and his level of capability, so he is very easily supplanted. What would happen if Suhail Pasha Shaikh was held to account and removed from the picture? - well that is a very interesting question for which it is becoming high time we had an answer. SHADOW SHAIKH OUT! INTO THE LIGHT YOU CONNIVING COCKROACH !
  14. I've said this previously. The rumour that this person takes around Β£500,000 per year out of the club and has done so for a considerable time, suggests he will fight tooth and nail to preserve his own cushy situation at the expense of others - even if that (paradoxically) will result in the end of the club. The only theory I can speculate that might make sense is that the Venksters have given him carte blanche to take the money for as long as he can keep the club going with little or no fresh input from them and with a remit to generate regular sales to chip away at the sunk costs (with payments going back to India as sweeteners), but that the long game is to allow it to fail in a way that doesn't alert the football authorities. Whatever the game is, it is a snidey little gobshite who is the executive instrument at the moment - someone IN THE PRESS, should be asking in a public forum, "What does Suhail Pasha Shaikh actually do at the club?' and "Why is he paid an obscene amount of money for so secretive a role?' Come on PRESS people. It's not rocket science πŸ˜‰ Oh, and someone on the end of Gestede's petulance should give him a taste of his own medicine and show some balls when treated like shite. Cowards never like the spotlight, and neither do cockroaches.. VENKYS OUT! PASHA SHAIKH SHADOW LEECH OUT! RUDY GESTEDE BILLY BIG BALLS OUT!
  15. We are all very well trained for the job these days, given the amount of time we watched Travis and Hedges pass the ball backwards to break up our own attacks. Raarrr.
  16. Until he shits (metaphorically) on RG's (or Shaik's) doorstep. Then he'll be sent to train with the chicklets.
  17. And there you have this season's mission.. 'can only hope' Not an actual plan, just a vague wave in a possible direction.
  18. A torrid time indeed. Not looking too clever, from where I sit.. It all comes down now to how the new squad performs on the pitch. That is the only thing we can measure the apparent gutting of last years '10 minutes away from playoffs' team, and it falls to VI to gel the ragbag of inexperience into something capable of holding its own in a competitive and unforgiving league. It will take an absolute miracle, make no bones about it. As for the shenanigans off the pitch, I defer to Glen Mullan's deep knowledge and ability to glean inside information, which I believe should be taken as indicative of the poison that, if left to fester and take hold, will surely destroy the club. You have to be suspicious of any organisation that deliberately sets out to undermine and dismantle what has proven to be a (relatively) successful formula. That just doesn't make any logical sense from a business perspepective, and I cannot bring to mind ANY comparator or case student from nearly 20 years teaching business at university level that shows how a strategy of this moronic magnitude has led to long term success. Baffling. However, there is the old saying - 'the proof of the pudding is in the eating'. What happens next for Blackburn Rovers will shine a searchlight on those hiding in the shadows, those who are (in theory) 'in charge' and those who remain at the helm as the club faces what we know will be turbulent times ahead. THEY will not be able to avoid scrutiny, should this once proud club be overwhelmed by the conditions and sink without a trace. We, as supporters, are locked in the depths of the ship, with no lifebelts, no access to lifeboats and no escape route as the water rises. THEY are just hired hands passing through, lording it in first class and checking their stocks before running like rats at the first sign of doom (although of course the White Star Line / JP Morgan still owned the Titanic as she plummeted miles under the waves). VENKYS OUT! GESTEDE BULLY BOY OUT! PASHA SHADOW DEALER OUT!
  19. Has Hyam gone? Nothing on Rovers website. Nowt on Wrexham's... It's a mystery and a miserable one at that..
  20. The point being that he is a useless lump of knobcheese who couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding with his lack of effort and appalling attitude? Nah. Not interested. Thanks. Moving on.
  21. Genius! Imagine if he turned up for a game like that, just to troll us and show he reads this forum! πŸ™‚
