  1. I’ve heard this is a fairly standard role in many clubs, and it makes sense when it comes to the academy and developing our talents. Hopefully, he’s good at what he does. But hiring someone for this kind of position isn’t exactly newsworthy. When have you ever seen headlines about us appointing someone like Michael Cribley as Head of Academy Recruitment? This feels more like the club trying to spin a story out of bringing back an old hero to a backoffice role to cover up losing your captain and our leader in defence. But this it is not us signing the attacker Rhodes, it's the coach. Again, hopefully, a good appointment, but for it to be in the news is just crazy.
  2. Don’t think so. Was training with Brann - a Norwegian club - earlier this summer. Is out in the cold at Ajax - politics and forced out, not personal.
  3. Comment from Norway. Mannsverk was seen as one of the big talents in Norway before he left for Ajax. He won the league and won the best young player in the league award, and Ajax and Netherlands was suppose to be the next step, but injuries and politics in the club has stopped the development. &nbsp If he is as good as he was is he too good for championship. Could be a great signing in my opinion.
  4. Same as the last two seasons. Nothing special happening during summer, but still a surprisingly good start, Ismael states in December that the squad is weak and we need investment in January, Ismael leave for something better during January, and we start on a new fresh. Alternatively, bottom half, but the club stays positive and communicate that we need to be patience in order to build accordingly to the new project and the long term plan plan. Of course no one knows what the plan or project is.
  5. The most important thing is that we don't start on another new "project". As Lowe stated yesterday, the players knows how to play on and off possession, with the credit to the coaching team. We now need a head coach with similar ideas to what Eustace has been doing the last year, and improve it further. And not back to JDT and possession-based football or similar - we do not have the player material. This is the success of e.g Brighton and now Liverpool. Finding the right manager for the way the club wants to play and improve it further, and not the other way around (like a certain Manchester-club is doing over and over again). I would guess that the management at Rovers have not aligned on those ideas though.
