Carer has been excellent this season, back to his best after recovery from injury impacted his game last season. But again, he made nowhere near the contributions Pears made yesterday. 3 excellent saves won us a point.

I thought his distribution was shite and he looked very slow on the turn. He won headers and was solid enough but he didn’t impact the game like Pears did.

I think people have already lost sight of the fact we have an average Championship squad that that has had very little investment over the last couple of years. When Dolan and hedges are your main creative outlets and they are having bad games, you’re going to struggle.

Cantwell, although clearly not fit, was excellent at finding space so he could receive the ball. If he gets back to his best he’ll be an excellent player for us.
