Hyam and Brittain aside, the recruitment is looking very poor. 

Money for Szmodic could have been better used elsewhere. Mola must be awful if he can't make the squad above some of these. 

My scores app has Hedges at RB, brittain in CM alongside szmodic with Travis up front. 

I'm guessing that's not quite right!

Think this will be a scrappy one, and one that if were not careful we'll be bullied out of it before we even start. We need to win the midfield battle. Ayala is too good to loose for long periods so needs treating with care. Carter is also good enough as a stand in. In these away games when were likely to be under the cosh more, we shouldn't be experimenting with players out of position like hedges at RWB, although that was a successful example.

Bellingham is unbelievable for a 19 year old. Looks the complete midfielder. 

Dortmunds scouting system is something to behold to pluck him out of the Birmingham side aged 17.

Bit perplexed about calling off all games. im sure some people will loose out to lost hotel booking, transport etc.

On a Rover side, I dont think it will do us any harm. Gives chance for some of the injured lads to come back for the next game. I think JDT would appreciate some more time with the team.

Were getting mullered in CM at the moment. Two small, young lads with decent technique but no physicality isnt a championship CM. Need to get back to being solid and nick a goal on the counter like the start of the season. 

No idea what Mola is like but hopefully he can add some strenght and steel in there.

Just got to hope we're not relegated this season to give us a couple of transfer windows to build on. 

Britain and Wharton being out for a while is hurting us a lot.

Fucking hell. If Mowbray was still in charge people would be going insane. 

Really hope JDT finds his feet because its miles away from good enough atm...even with a small squad. 

Said it during the transfer window, for all the talk of centre backs and forwards..the thing that's killing us each game is having zero physicality in CM. Even if they weren't the most technical player someone with a bit of pace, height, aggression and stamina Is so badly needed. Especially only playing 2 in there.

For all their ability, Morton and Wharton will get bullied as a pair in most games.

Maybe see if Mola could do a job. 

Id chuck the new lad in upfront straight away. Were missing a natural striker in there and someone with a bit of nous in the box.

Looking at Molas Wiki page, looks like hes only played 11 competetive matches! not a lot for a 21 year old. Doesnt seem to be any record of him playing anywhere before 2020. 

Well on top, loads of chances...not taking them. We all know where this is going. 

Surprised Dolan seems well ahead of Markanday given he's got a couple of goals in the cup games. 

Not sure what to think of Dolan. Gives 100% and is useful as a pest to defenders but seems technically limited. He looks fast without actually being fast. 

Thank god we got the hyam deal done in time. 

Don't know much about this lad. Sounds like he did OK in L1 last year so hopefully he'll prove useful. Can't be much less of a goal threat than the current forwards bar BBD. 

He's young so hopefully we'll see a good improvement like we did with BBD and Armstrong 

After the last 3 games I actually think a high energy, powerful CM should be our priority for the last position rather than the Liverpool CB on loan. We're weak as piss in there. 

Hopefully we'll have a secure league position at the next window when JDT has seen the squad a bit longer.

Never heard of Hyam until recently so no idea if he's any good. But good to get a match fit seasoned pro CB in rather than kids. We've been desperate for one for weeks. 

See what this week brings.

Wow that starting line up definitely won't strike fear into the opposition. Didn't even know brittain was a doubt. 

Think Dack deserves a start and apart from BBD is the player most likely to nick a goal. Need to compete more in midfield. I'd be tempted to put Carter straight in but I don't think he will.

I'm sure this has been discussed over and over but how the fuck have Sunderland (L1 side last year) beat us to signing Van Hecke. If this is true we really are shopping in the bargain basement. 

I can honestly see discontent from JDT before long.

Not good. 

Silence is deafening on the transfer front. No links and no activity. I know were pretty good at keeping things quiet but given how small the squad is and after getting found out midweek its worrying there haven't even been any rumors arise since. 

I suspect all is not well behind the scenes. Hopefully JDT doesnt see his arse soon. 

Massive reality check of just how small the squad is. The first three games have been great but this squad will not compete over 46 games. 

Big week coming up. We have to make 2 or 3 signings.

Sounds like the only positive is its only 1-0 at half time. 

Apart from the goal, sounds like Smodicz has barely been involved in any of the games. A game for Dack to nick one I think. 

Hoping todays speculation about BBD doesnt mean he will be withdrawn as "not in the right mindset". Usually happens when a bid comes in and a player is interested in the move. 

We need all the points we can get while hes still here.
