  1. I think some demonstrations at the ground are long overdue, or at least some banners asking for the board to explain themselves in particularly Venkys, Waggot and Broughton. Broughtons role in this cant be overlooked. Unless he is hamstrung by those higher up, he was brought in to make sure these thinks proceed correctly.

I reckon Skysports would spin the story of discruntled little blackburn fans complaining when were in the playoffs, what else do they expect??

Club is an absolute shambles top to bottom. JDT will be shoved in front of the cameras today and he asked questions he had no power over because of incompetence of the people above him.

Not old enough to remember the 95 years so most of my supporting years have been under the venky’s shower of shite. Only reason I keep an interest now is so that when my lads old enough, hopefully they’ve gone & he can enjoy what Rovers are really about. Laughing stock.

It would be nice for JDT to come out and say it as it is, that the club had a chance of promotion, I wanted to strengthen but the club and the board failed to perform and the club needs to sort itself out if it ever wants to improve.

I suspect hes a tow the company line type of guy though, which is probably why he agreed to work under these morons.

  3. Hope is there's a couple of names to be announced today, Expectation is that we achieved fuck all and the announcement is that there is no announcement!

Fully expect to hear nothing. Hope to be proved wrong.

There are clubs with more strict FFP restrictions than ours that still manage to get business done more efficiently than us. Amateur shambles at times.

  4. Talk of multiple missed targets, a manager wanting players and not getting them, best player off for nothing. Not good reading in any way.

Strikes me as a bit of a shambles.

I suspect that between the manager, GB and the new scouting/recruitment staff the club can identify targets but a mix of FFP and owners who dont care makes it impossible to get anything other than bargain basement deals over the line.

I could easily see JDT, GB and co walking away after a while of this.

In other non Rovers related transfer news, City are letting Cancelo go on loan with option to buy to Bayern. Cant believe City are happy to let him go. He was one of the best 2 or 3 full backs in world football last season. Mental.

  5. Cant say I'd ever heard of Sorba Thomas until yesterday. We're crying out for some more pace in the side so if he brings this then its a good addition. Cant get too excited however about a winger who can't get in huddersfields side, when to me were more desperate for a striker and centre mid. Is he much different to Dolan or Markanday, time will tell.

Hopefully hes as well as ST and CM and not instead of.

Strikes me a bit like Giles last season, came when leading the assist charts only to find Gallagher couldnt out jump a drawf. Ended up at right back or something.

  6. I actually think Brereton will turn out to be fairly mediocre. La Liga is probably a good move for him as I dont think he would ever be a regular goalscorer in the prem. Our mistake was not accepting any bids in the summer.

On the other side, if the club offered him another 5 year deal 2-3 years ago when I thought he was garbage Id have thought why? Seems to be a more common thing now of players refusing to sign contracts. Even happens at top clubs e.g. Pogba, Sterling. They know they can get higher wages if the new club isnt paying a transfer fee, leaving the selling club without much leeway.

Besiktas want to cancel Deli Alli loan after hardly playing for them. Everton dont want him back. Amazing how quickly one of the countrys most talented youngsters has fallen into obscurity. Still only 26.

Suspect lots of money too early and who else knows what pressures come with that have caused him to loose his appetite for the game.

Sorry the word should have been *shown more. His Press, change of pace, vision and passing is above both Travis & Morton…no arguments…As a result him & A Wharton are our best CMs.

Admittedly I don't get chance to go to many live games at Ewood, but the last game I watched against Sunderland he was abysmal. No effort, no press, slow passing, gave the ball away constantly and gave away a pen. Got sent off the next game so I'm not his biggest fan. To be honest I don't really rate any of our midfield options.

The only solution for me is a complete overhaul in the transfer market.

  9. After watching the shambles vs Sunderland, and 4 abject performances out of 5 my enthusiasm is quickly waning. I cant fathom how we've been so crap for long periods and are still 3rd. Despite all the issues, were still in a great place and a few additions in January could cement a play off spot. The top 2 are miles ahead.

Out of everyone, Buckleys performance was an abomination the other day. Bad attitude and bad ability. Hes 100% out and back to the U23s for me. Gallagher wasnt much better. Midfield is just trying something different, and two players who might actually run abit. Weve not seen Markanday much, he cant be worse than Hirst. Pretty damning that apart from Hyam, none of the summer transfers are anywhere near the squad. Desperate for some investment in Jan to keep it going.

                           Kaminski

             Hyam       Ayala    Wharton

    Hedges        Garrett     Travis    Pickering

                               Dack

                     Markanday  BBD

  10. Unreal game. France did what they did against England, second best for long periods but score their first chance. The extra time was the most frantic I've ever seen.

Amazing way for Messi to go out.

Bit like an end of an era this world cup as some of the best players to have ever play the game (Messi, Ronaldo and Modric) probably won't be seen on the international stage again.

  11. Wow didn't see that result coming after the last few performances, especially with that starting 11. Jekyll and Hyde team this one.

The fact we're still picking up wins rather than draws has kept us in the promotion hunt. We're not as good as the top two but as long as we don't go on a Mowbray spiral and maybe do some business in January the playoffs are definitely possible.
