No surprises its an unchanged side. I'd like to see us with Britain in as I think he's our best all round full back, but would he harsh to drop Pickering after a goal and clean sheet or JRC given his form.
Big show of support to the front three that BBD still on the bench.

Hopefully the 6 days of rest will do some of the squad good after a bit of an intense period. Cant see how you can justify changing the starting line up at the moment, so same side again. Only change I would consider is Brittain for pickering.
Hopefully Stoke try and have a go which will leave some space on the counter. Think some of our players are better suited to that rather than breaking down a deep defence.

Massive win and what a february/march it's been so far. The annual Tony Tombola death spiral seems a long time ago thankfully.

Get in!!! One of the best performances I've seen in many years. Probably since the premier league days. Could have been 4 or 5 and then some solid battling.
Didn't expect that level of quality.

If we dont win this it will be a travesty. So many missed chances. Unbelievable performancr so far.
This has been a massive shift. Hopefully we don't pay for it at the weekend.

Should be 3-0 up. That's two absolute sitters we've not put in.

Great half. Can't fault them.
Hedges and Gallagher the quietest.
I'm more confident in the CBs this season that any others for a while.

Dolan...apart from that miss has been class. Best I've ever seen him. Fair play lad.

Smodicz with a really tame effort when in on goal and might have injured himself doing so!
We could of had a couple goals already and so could they
I like how he's willing to run in behind beyond the forwards. We lack that often.

Dolan looking sharp

LET have Carter and Hyannis at CB. Assuming that's a typo for Hyam..?

Didnt see the gamd but Probably one of the best results and performances of the season. Also good to see there would be life to the team without BBD. You could argue in the last 2 games having two genuine wingers in dolan and Thomas on either flank has helped the team.
If Gallagher did nothing else other than stay central and throw himself at crosses he'd do alright at championship level.

Take the win. We seem harder to beat in the last month or so even if the football hasn't been great. Games like today show how desperate we are for a striker. Would have been put to bed before half time if any of them had some ability.
-
Need a second. 1-0 has Blackpool getting a late one out of nothing written all over it.

An early goal would help us massively against a side like Blackpool. It's seems so long ago that we scored early in a game. I can't even remember when.

if BBD is out, Id definately consider Lenoard. He cant be any worse than Vale or Gallagher and might make the step up look simple. Would be like a new signing if he did. Whilst Szmodic (spelling?) has been pretty poor hes got a couple more goals than the rest of the other forwards so should replace Dack.

Hopefully the BBD goal will help him get his mojo back. Swansea will have a lot of the ball, that's how they play. In a way it would suit our forwards to play on the counter but likely JDT will want to match Swansea possession style.
Britain back also helps IMO even if JRC has been ok lately. We're desperately devoid of anything in CM though.

The body of ex Chelsea and Newcastle player Chritstian Atsu has been found under a collapsed building in Turkey.
Weren't we close to getting him on loan 2 or 3 seasons back?
Poor bloke

Need to change something in that midfield and forward line. Its just not working, though our options are limited. Defence is still reasonably solid, despite the injuries. I am assuming Hyam and Ayala are out.

Brittain walks back into the side for me. Our best fullback by far, specialist in that position and competent both going forward and at the back. Not too slow either.
JRCs lack of pace is a massive hinderance at full back for me. If anywhere I think hed do ok in central areas where pace isnt such an issue.

Are there not rules against so many first teamers and players over 21 playing for the U21s? I'd have thought there would be a limit not nearly a full side.
JDT seems to treat the U21s like an old school reserve side. I remember as a teenager when blackburn reserves played at Morecambe Fcs ground just round the corner from me. £3 a game and it was mostly first teamers who didn't play at the weekend. Had some big names down there. Dwight Yorke, Diego Forlan, David Ginola, Jason Wilcox to name a few.
Bit worried some of our genuine U21 prospects struggle for game time now.
-
Kaminski injured? Apologies if it's already been discussed?
I've literally no idea how this will go. That line up doesn't exactly breed confidence. Their forward Keane has 10 league goals apparently so more than any pf ours. Dack to carry us!

O'Brien, however, I feel desperately sorry for, and I hope we do right by the player as best as we can.
I understand the sentiment, but I can only feel a certain amount of sorrow for someone in their mid 20s earning £1000s a week for doing nothing. More time to get his golf handicap down.

Well it was nice while it lasted!
Had a dodgy result written all over it this one.
