  1. You mean it's worse than a film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson?!
  2. I thought it was rubbish to be honest, a major disappointment considering the quality of the books. I was in Holland last week and caught I Am Legend at the cinema. It's really very good aside from the awful (nearly embarrassing) CGI and an unnecessary departure from much of Richard Matheson's awesome novel.
  3. The man named above is from Rathcoole in North Belfast. I wouldn't imagine he'd be unfamiliar with police interviews.
  4. Aside from God of War 2, Bioshock is the best game I've played in years.
  5. Loved it also. Pixar's output is awesome.
  6. I'm just back from The Golden Compass. Dear oh dear, not good at all.
  7. My god, the screaming irony. Anyway, you have an interesting point of view certainly. I simply fail to understand why the usual claptrap needs to be dredged up on this thread to undermine a genuinely talented British sportsman like Hamilton who had a dazzling debut season in F1 and is a real contender on the world stage. And of course what is your take on the subject?
  8. Honestly Richard you never stop do you. What on earth does the 'liberal media' and 'New Britain' have to do with Lewis Hamilton? Has the 'conservative media' not been equally taken with him? He's an incredibly talented kid who may well be world champion this time next year. I'm sure many of us (myself included) are pleased Calzaghe won as he's clearly an outstanding athlete and performer in his field, but don't let your withdrawal symptoms from the sugar rush of your favourite threads clog up the posts on this part of the board.
  9. Without getting sucked into a discussion about the definition of 'big club' I would contend that Rangers with all its tradition, success and large fanbase could readily be described as 'grander' than Rovers. Having said that we are a much better team, with better players, more money and we play in a superior competition.
  10. I should think it's fairly obvious that they are a bigger club than Rovers. Are you disputing this?
  11. Yes but the books are quite anti-religion. It's very unlikely you'd see anything 'godsquady'. The view I usually trust is that of Empire magazine and they say it blows. I'll still go and see it though.
  12. While it's a weaker league I don't see why that's so hilarious. Celtic is an enormous club where Champions League football is a relative certainty. Even Rangers is a grander outfit than Rovers.
  13. Just back from the Kanye West concert at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. What a show!
  14. Fortunately, very little of the bible belt is Catholic.
  15. Boban was a genius. As was Prosinecki. And Suker. And Boksic.
  16. The support of any English club in no way equates to support of the English national team. To make that leap is nonsensical. Bringing raw talent into it is irrelevant. Raw talent does not win you games or tournaments. In any case, the Croatians exhibited talent beyond anything England have produced (Wayne Rooney aside) in a very long time.
  17. Can't wait to see that, it looks amazing. Most things produced by the Coens are fantastic.
  18. Exactly. There's no doubting the quality of England's players - Gerrard and Rooney are absolute world-beaters in my opinion - but the ability to play quality football as a team has been missing since Euro 96.
