  1. For sheer visceral thrills, little can beat the excellent Paranormal Activity - a short, sharp and ultimately very nasty shock.
  2. Yeah but I want to live in a country where Danny Glover is the President. That's the way forward.
  3. And Home Alone obviously. I agree. It's rubbish.
  4. Michael Mann: Manhunter The Last of the Mohicans Heat Ali The Insider Collateral Miami Vice Public Enemies
  5. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trailer:
  6. I didn't expect Taken to be so good considering the septic reviews I read. If you can excuse the ignorant premise that sex traffickers lurk on every European corner, primed to carry off pretty young Americans, it's a rather enjoyable load of nonsense. I'd highly recommend it.
  7. I caught 9 in Chicago the week before last. Stunning.
  8. Finished the story mode of Arkham Asylum last night. Incredible game. Best game of the year as far as I'm concerned.
  9. This is an awesome game. It's that simple. You can disappear into it for hours. Aside from the slightly annoying (though visually stunning) Scarecrow levels, I honestly can't find anything wrong with this.
  10. Surely you expected nothing else than utter rubbish?
  11. It's fantastic. I just spent the last hour searching for Riddler Challenges.
  12. The notoriously tough Eurogamer.net gives Batman: Arkham Asylum a great review.
  13. Thought it was brilliant. One of my favourite films so far this year.
  14. Even in the ads on TV the graphics in Prototype look shonky to say the least. I'll be avoiding this and patiently wait for Batman: Arkum Asylum. I'm currently enjoying Prince of Persia which is a brilliant platformer, however I simply don't understand why Ubisoft messed with the format that made Warrior Within and, to a lesser extent, The Two Thrones so good. Instead of being able to take on multiple enemies with beautifully choreographed moves in luscious HD graphics, you face down occasional opponents one on one (well actually one on two, as you have a female ally throughout the game), in quasi boss battles that are alarmingly easy to win. Has anyone else played this?
  15. Messi, Iniesta and Xavi are the three best players in the world at the moment. What a bunch.
  16. Absolutely made up to see the self-proclaimed best team in the world reduced to glum spectators. This goes someway to repairing a pretty dreadful season.
  17. News flash! Angels & Demons is not as unspeakably rubbish as you might expect. It's certainly an improvement on the dire The Da Vinci Code.
  18. They still won't win though. Ferguson must have slept very soundly last night.
  19. Gutted to see United reach another final. That trophy's going nowhere for another year. I've no pity for Wenger though. He has slowly and methodically dismantled a previously exciting and ruthless (not to mention successful) football team and turned it into a shallow, powder-puff shadow of its former self. To see a side so knee deep in its own pretensions, dismantled and exposed as losers would be sad if it weren't for the unpleasant way Wenger and his petulant school children (led, of course, by the talented playground ruffian Fabregas) conduct themselves on and off the pitch. All United needed to do was look at Wenger's delusional comments about winning the tie (when clearly they are capable of nothing of the sort) for motivation. He's quickly wearing out his usefulness at The Emirates. When the American Kroenke finally gets his controlling stake in Arsenal he may quickly plump for a manager who can actually win something.
  20. Is it not just an update of the Xbox version. I enjoyed that but surely the 360 should be getting a brand new game? And in FP too. How boring.
