I have no issue currently with the owners - assuming they are who we believe. - and right now I think most fans are feeling positive after a summer over haul and a new style of play. The issue for me is how they’ve bought the club, the highly leveraged nature of it. We still have a debt of around 92 million (about 32 to MSD and 60 to the previous owners). That money will come from the clubs income. If we don’t go up by end of next season there are issues. The positive might be any debt still owed at that point would be to the previous owners rather than Dell - I imagine another chunk of that will be due summer if we don’t go up and the rest the following summer if we still don’t go up. Personally I don’t see how it ends well other than a stay in the PL - and that looks unlikely to me. I’ll also take the article with some caution. This journo has history, clearly has beef with us and can’t provide a single tangible source in the EFL or PL who he claims started an investigation.

Indeed, organisations that feel like they have as many integrity issues as the afore mentioned regimes, Johnson and Trump combined.

Fit and proper - lol. The authorities neither care nor are they capable of designing and applying an ownership test that will protect what are in reality valuable community assets. Then again the government refuse to pass legislation that effectively reveals the real owners of businesses in general so I guess hoping for the PL/EFL to do so is probably a little naive. Even if this proves to be nothing ultimately this ownership can’t be a positive for us and our only hope would be a local boy done good (such as Matt Moulding, who I think is a declared Man U fan) buying us and that doesn’t seem that likely.

Our game tomorrow has been postponed - I’d imagine all weekend fixtures will follow although the King is a Claret so maybe just ours so he doesn’t miss it.

I’m not saying it isn’t true, just that 900 is less than half the standard allocation and I don’t know of any reason why they’d give you less.

I can’t comment on the veracity of this however the stand is split these days. Usually the allocation is around 2200 I believe and I’m not aware anyone who wanted that many hasn’t been given them. It isn’t something I follow closely. I know Blackpool had around 2200.

Sadly there’s still a k**b head element- and a younger brigade who do a lot of arm gesturing in their ‘stones’. I can’t ever see the bubble being removed- and maybe that is a good thing but for me I don’t enjoy the experience. Also since being back in the championship I’ve noticed ‘trouble’ seems to be making a comeback in the lower leagues and even the championship.

Those players need bedding in - it should not be an issue in future. Agreed - it’s got potential to become very controversial because people will question whether all incidents are being reviewed. Can’t really argue with this though, he knew what he was doing. Lol - no, it’s an excellent point - and even though WBA deserved at least a point it’s hard not to feel a little disappointed when you concede in the 98th minute. 7 from the last three is a great return.

Not at our best last night. We will play better and lose - and play worse and win. We looked leggy, you could tell it was our third game in 6 days. Also thought we should have had a second penalty for the handball and again two bad looking fouls not punished. A decent point in the end though.

Lol - we have 3 more players than we ended last season with - and 4 of the squad are loans. The players who've left were on inflated PL wages - the new ones aren't. Financially we should be fine Well with 5 subs you can play 1 1/2 teams a game almost ... It's a long season so lets see how we go. The winter break will be a help for us I think. I still think top 2 is a big ask, there are some really good teams (Norwich, Sheff Utd, Watford to name just 3) who are settled with real quality. Injury wise we are OK so far, just Twine who got injured early on at the moment with Johan Berg Gudmunson back and Westwood to come back in the new year. And we have a squad now of around 25/6 I think so largely speaking we should be fine. As for the Blackpool result - that was a combination of overplaying at the back - and good work from Blackpool to capitalise - and naivety really. It is our biggest weakness today and one that will cost us goals this season. It is also how we play and that isn't changing so as fans we will need to be patient and as a team they need to work on improving it. Well he'll definitely be one to watch this season then. How many of your team are "kids"? I mean we've signed a lot of 21/22 year old players but it seems half your squad are from the academy then?

So basically we are all talking down our prospects whilst secretly believing we are on course to win the league? 🙂 I think our overhaul has gone better than I expected so we should be targettng top 6 - though there are a number of clubs who will have a lot to say about that I'm sure He does look a real prospect, lets see how he does come November. At least as a local he will understand the importance of the game.

Pretty happy overall - though I’d have liked another striker instead of the one of the many wide forwards/wingers. We have a big job on but the team are ahead of where I expected. I’m more confident now of top 6 but nothing is nailed on. Top 2 I feel will be out of our reach. What about yourselves, looks like BBD is staying, Wharton is a genuine prospect. You expecting top 2, top 6, doing the double over us?

15 - however we’ve also lost 13 players and 3 of the 15 are only loans. Some suggestion of a German u21 centre half coming on loan as well. You did, and deservedly so - oddly to a degree you did to them what they did to us with the high press and forced errors at the back. I think top 2 will be from Sheff Utd, Norwich and Watford. It’s still early for us but so far we look like a reasonable bet for top 6.

And Wharton isn’t Xavi, what is your point? We have 3 very good, very experienced centre mids who will be a tougher test for Wharton than Blackpool provided - if you can’t see that its you who needs to get over yourself.

Was he the young lad in midfield, Wharton? He was really good, I was surprised it was his debut, he looked very calm. He might find Cork/Cullen/Brownhill a little more difficult to cope with but you’d imagine he has a bright future ahead of him. Stonewall penalty mate. Not saying there weren’t other incidents with that player during the game but on that one, you would have been furious if the boot was on the other foot and the penalty wasn’t given - unlike the one where your lad took a dive in the box 😂

True story lol. Actually thought you put in a good performance and should have scored at least one more. Diaz was a more rounded player than I exepcted, keeping him today has to be your goal. Think "t'classico" could be an interesting one this year, contrasting styles. Not sure your midfiled will get quite the easy ride they did last night but your high press was very good, really effective and that could be problematic for us to say the least.

I saw both those - also failed to give Blackpool a penalty when your defender hauled their player down in the box - and this was in the refs direct line of sight. Also noticed a few cyclical fouls from your players to stop them breaking. Maybe VAR isn’t entirely the devil after all 😂

I know you warned me about Luton practicing the dark arts but you should have mentioned Millwall. Time wasting and dirty fouls from the whistle. Not sure how they only got 3 yellows. I thought PL refs were poor but this guy was woeful.

I’m really sorry this happened to you. It’s needless at any time and even more so when it’s just a dad and his lad on their way home. We sadly clearly have a selection of brain dead, coked up fans who are a disgrace. I can’t comment on other teams but I do sadly fear it’s more common in the game today then it was for a while - and growing again.

I think this one will be 14 - but we lost 13. On the striker, basically Kompany has said we can’t afford the prices. Still hoping we might get a loan at least. Barnes can do a limited Job and Rodriguez is 33 and will need support. On BLF I just don’t know. We signed him then Dyche didn’t play him, loaned him out and signed a number 2. Whether Kompany doesn’t rate him - or if he himself wants to leave to be number 1 somewhere (which I would in his position) I don’t know but you’d imagine he’s on his way. Yeah sorry the stats were all over, hence my joke. He has scored 2 in 5 this season though. I’m not sure what the Visa regs are - we’ve been doing some medicals in France apparently whilst visa’s were being worked on. We will be paying more on immigration lawyers than agents at this rate.
