  3. http://www.imdb.com/ My favourite site for film reviews... Shutter Island is tops at the moment
  4. I remember Parched Peas, black in colour...and a guy with a straw basket would appear in a packed pub during a darts/pool night selling these with seafood etc
  5. [ Plan to hit sweet mandarin next time I am down, any experiences? http://www.onionring.co.uk/article.asp?NID=435 What more can you say. Went about 2 years ago and had no probs getting in without booking but now ?? ..Evening only and you choose a sitting when booking..Not too far from the Printworks ,Band on the Wall area in Manchester
  6. Went to Vermillion a couple of times with my boss who knows them well....Its a Thai and Indian style ..Used by some City And Man U players.(nani..SW Philips..)..Very popular and well liked by everyone who goes but you pay that bit more for the nice atmosphere..Used to have a Sunday lunch bargain buffet but these things change..Have a website showing the latest offers..
  7. The all you can eat style buffets prob have the best english..Tai Wu next to Macdonalds on Oxford Road is one.No 1 Oriental buffet is another..The Yang Sing is prob the most famous trad Chinese Restaurant..but the fun of China town is walking around it (Faulker steet, where to Gate is, has the most)..Best to take yor time just looking at all the different restaurants and outside menus then just going for it. picking one you like the look of.(if its busy it must be good)Avoid Shezuan style restaurtants unless you like hot..On the edge of China town if you dont fancy Chinese.is the Bank.About 15+ different styles of sausages http://www.manchester.com/restaurants/details/602/the_bank.html..
  8. That Cafe in Levenshulme is an old favourite of mine ..Aint been for a few years though..Has a few Veggie option but not many.Very good and traditional..Might make you something veggie to order..Maybe give then a ring first ..Check their website
  9. Quote"Unfortunatly there seems to be a serious lack of good places to eat in Liverpool." My fav on a visit to Liverpool is the Chinese eat all yer want buffet at St Johns accross from Lime street Station..Cant go wrong there..
  10. Danlad..This is the Bank.. http://www.manchester.com/restaurants/details/602/the_bank.html and this the Grinch.. Check the menu ..happy hour prices are unbelievable. http://www.grinch.co.uk/
  11. The Wagamama I refer to,just noticed,is the one on Deangate which is a Japanese noodle bar not the Printworks one..Really tasty stuff..Recommend
  12. Go the the Wagamama about every other month and like it.but then there are several of us and having company makes a difference possibly.Others I like in the area for pre/post concert nosh are The Bank and the Grinch basically cos of you get such good stuff for about £6-£10 and theres happy hour prices of course..
  13. Favorite Events of The past..0-2 down against Plymouth and winning 5-2 halting their record unbeaten run of about 28 games or so..The Debuts of David better long range passer than Beckham Wagstaff and Gordon PFA Talyor at West Brom away..Think it was 2-2 ...Intro of Kenny Beamish and his famous Beamo shooting.Lets just say Pigeon numbers on the Darwen end roof fell dramatically that year .
  14. Genuinely Scarly.Films.with a touchable a realism... Best has to be Wolf Creek..A must see if you fancy a trek in the Australia Outback..
  15. Wolfman looks pretty good but aint out til February
  16. Remember the late sixties/early seveties..fans passing each other in the Riverside to change ends at half time or maybe at the start. It was with Lecicester the first time I saw it kick off.in the ground..Near that time Burnley tried to rip the Darwen end road off.(it could have been asbestos then... Tee hee.)Hardly the good old days of good behaviour..
  17. Anyone seen and have any views on Gomorrah?
  18. The best blades I got were from the Poundshop in Accy.some Fourbladers. Each blade lasted nearly a week.. After trying one out then went back and bought the lot. Sorry theres none left for anyone else
  19. http://www.pizzatoppings.co.uk/pizza-news/...s-in-disrepute/ An even healthier option...Our kitchens should employ this guy for the Burnley game
  20. Mongolian Barbaque in Manchester was once good. which I recommend if its till there .It was on Canal street dare I say (my bread is buttered on the right side)!..You take your ingredients and own spices to the chef and he cooks it on a wok..Took the stomach lining off when I picked my own..Caraibeean best left to the xperts.often the owners Mama in the back of the kitchen
  21. Love Caribean food myself but don't know it where you can get in the Blackburn area....its a bit naughty on the calories, but I work in Manchester and the local Cool Runnings in Hulme always has 20 in the queue..King fish and jerk chicken are my favourites..
